Meant to only give 1 star This is an update. Contacted Matt as he instructed me to and he so nicely educated me "seams don't disappear". I am so glad he enlightened me on that! I reminded him that as true as that is, quality installation does exist and unfortunately it is not found consistently at Ripano. I attached pictures. I believe if the counter was installed properly the seam would be more consistent with the acceptable photo. Wow. My kitchen countertops look fantastic! I loved being able to go into their showroom and warehouse to choose my slab. They are a little bit more pricey than their competitors but well worth the additional cost. The installation was done timely and professionally. I had 6 men here and they all wore masks, were very polite and their conversations were not loud and the content was respectful (nothing offensive). I would definitely recommend them to everyone. read more

We've been customers of Ripano for years, and I had planned on using them for my upcoming kitchen project, but not now. I called and asked if they can make me a door threshold out of remnant stone. It'd be 32" long and 3" wide, and they wanted to charge me $800. That isn't a typo. I repeated what I wanted back to the guy to make sure we were talking about the same thing, and he said yes..it'd cost $800. I had one made for me at a stone place in Newburyport and it was $115. Still expensive, but reasonable. I won't use Ripano again. read more

Amazing experience replacing our kitchen counters and bathroom vanities, professional service, outstanding selection of counters (from granite slabs to marble and everything else) and reasonable pricing. Our general contractor put me in touch with Ripano and I called to see if I could come in and look at counters that afternoon. There is a MASSIVE warehouse behind the showroom with a huge selection of counters. I picked out granite countertops for the kitchen and asked them to keep a look out for some white carrera marble remnants for the bathrooms. The remnants available change all the time and you have to tag them fast. They emailed me a couple of pieces to look at which worked out great. I was given an approximate estimate based on the measurements our contractor gave them and once I approved, they came out to measure and template. Just over 2 weeks later they came out to install. The installation guys were polite and professional and very efficient. They checked in to find out if we'd be painting/installing a backsplash etc. Explained about sealant, left with instructions on how to register for 15 year warranty and provided special cleaner. The final invoice was actually lower than the initial quote which was great. We'd gotten quotes from Home Depot and Loews and Ripano were similarly priced but with a much greater selection (and the process with Loews was a real pain). Keith, Shawn and the installation team (Paul and guys) were great. Highly recommend. read more

20 stars!!! Excellent experience from start to finish and beyond! My sink cracked (my fault) and they installed the new one for free! I dropped something and dinged it 2 years later and they are repairing it for free when they are in the area 3 days later. I'm on the seacoast. I couldn't ask for better service! I was so excited when I visited the Ripano showroom to look for a remnant piece to use as a bath vanity counter. Sales person was very helpful and we were able to choose something we were excited about - there is a huge selection. Sadly, the positive experience ended there. Once our deposit was paid, our job fell through the cracks. When I called to find out the dates for templating and installation I was told that my job couldn't be scheduled. It seems the salesperson had emailed a document to me that I never received. After three weeks of holding my deposit, he still had not followed up with a phone call to see why the docs had not been returned.. Consequently, our installation was delayed by several weeks, until they could schedule the template maker and fabricate the counter. When installation day came around, it turned out the counter was cut wrong and it had to be done again. The installers reappeared the very next day with a corrected counter top. Which was OK, but also proved the point that it really hadn't been necessary to make us wait weeks in the first place. If customer service had been a priority, they would have followed up on the 'lost' email and gotten things moving in the first place. From the moment I paid that deposit I felt that my job was too small to be bothered with and it was 'catch as catch can' for us. I am very disappointed. I was pleased to be using a local vendor and had hoped to use them again for a full kitchen/pantry project. But I will go elsewhere next time. My advice? Don't be the small fish here. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Went in to talk about remnants for 2 bathroom counter tops and was told to come by on Thursdays to choose and tag the sizes we needed. We did this several times with no luck and each time we went in the woman in charge didn't recognize us!! After a few visits, she said that she never told us Thursday was the best day and again did not recognize us and was very cold!! We now won't return or recommend or buy from them!!! Your people skills SUCK!! read more

Shop around if you must- You'll end up buying your counter here. We have been renovating for three years and have received multiple quotes from Home Depot and Lowes for every 10%/free sink/edge upgrade bla bla promotion. We never felt confident in the product or in the design consultant we spoke with and were not thrilled with purchasing and then having to drive an hour or two to choose a slab (as samples look nothing like current lots) A friend had a horrible experience with stone creations when she purchased through Lowes and so we were only shopping Home Depot. When we asked them to match the Lowes quote they said it must be "apples to apples" and we had to get another quote for the same exact color. Not the same grade like A, B, C but the exact color. When digging for this, we discovered- they BOTH use Stone Creations!?! Then we stumbled on another unhappy victim of stone creations who found out the contractors inflate their installation rate because Home Depot requires 20% of the job as payment for 'advertising' in the store for them. Enter Heidi from Ripano- so warm, welcoming, layed back, experienced and genuinely interested in our project and being part of a solution. Being upfront with our budget, she kept me on track and yet still offered me so many choices! Because they quote by the job and not by sq ft you will get way more for your money at Ripano. Heidi spent hours with me going over measurements, design, taking me around to hold my cabinet doors and trim to the slabs- Oh yeah. It's all in house, right there, one stop shop. (side note- my Home Depot sample we compared to theirs-they have access to the exact same colors- and the Home Depot sample was way different because was from an older lot!!! Had I purchased elsewhere, I would have driven hours only to discover I needed to cancel my order!?!) We chose the perfect slab that day, got the quote, beat both Home Depot and Lowes and we decided to upgrade from a 16 gauge to a 14 stainless steel sink as their option had superior design at a competitive price. Scheduling templating was a breeze and quick and scheduling installation was easy and fast, even with a holiday monday in the mix. They gave us the option to approve design and you literally get a digital picture of your stone and how it will look cut out so you can control where the unique patterns in your granite will end up. They will also discuss if a seam is needed anywhere and options. !?! Go with the other places- you're lucky if they show up with the right slab and they'll put seams where ever they want- and not lined up or level, either. Installation with Shawn was quick (the hubby is picky and he was pleased) and the final product- I apologize for being dramatic- but I'm in love. Solid countertops are an investment and it is absolutely unacceptable if you are not head over heels with your purchase. You will not save money going elsewhere, even with a promotion, even with an additional coupon. Trust me. I'll show you quotes. Yes, this project was my first time meeting them and no, I was not paid to write this. Save yourself the hassle and get the best product, the best installation, the best warrantee and the best design and the best value. Oh, and to boot- you're supporting a local company. read more
