I showed up for my 12pm tour and was told by the guide's room mate that the guide was out of town and he didn't understand why an appointment would've been booked. Frankly, I don't understand it either. I have reached out to get my $45 back. I felt that this may have been a scam, and I'm pretty sure it is since everyone else's reviews had them meeting up at other places while the confirmation I received said to meet up at the address provided, which is literally someone's house. Sorry for busting in your weekend, room mate. But I definitely want a refund since I was able to book and pay for a tour that wasn't going to happen due to the tour guide being "out of town".

We were only upset about the fact that we were on time, but had to wait for 6 people who were late, who wasted at least 20+ minutes of our tour, getting paperwork and kayaks ready. We could not hear anything of any importance from our guide as people had different abilities to paddle (totally understandable) and there was no effort to include everyone. We went on July 3rd on a Sunday and it was a beautiful day out. Sunny with 10% chance of rain, which is good for summer in Florida. The weather was perfect. We arrived to Bahia Mar Marina and checked in at the Tropical Sailing office by the main entrance, located behind Market Cafe. Once we checked in, we went over to the marina where the catamaran was located. There was a group total of maybe 30 people on our cruise. Our captain was Ernesto aka "E" and then Nick who was the bartender/first mate. E and Nick were awesome. E had jokes all day long and was so good about informing everyone about rules and things to do and not do. Nick was so good catering to our kids, we had 13 people total in our party and 7 of those were kids. He was great about tending to them and making sure the kids were happy for the duration of the cruise They offered free snacks, bottled water and sodas with the ticket price. You could open a tab and buy alcoholic beverages during the cruise. They had beer, White Claw and wine. Very affordable prices. Worth it if you want to drink. We sailed to Fort Lauderdale Beach area in the middle of the ocean and they put out the water mat and trampoline. And the water slide was in full effect. We got to hang and lounge here for maybe 1-2 hours? Hard to say as we didn't keep track of time and we were too busy having fun to notice. It was a good amount of time though for everyone to jump in the water and play. When it was time to leave, E and Nick pulled everything out of the water while most of us lounged on the net. You can only lay on the net when the catamaran is not moving. We sailed back to the marina and almost everyone was passed out and dunzo! What an awesome day on the catamaran. Great fun had by all. I was visiting from out of town for some work and had a surprise afternoon off. After some google…read moreand trip advisor searching I saw this place pop up and signed up for the next snorkel and paddle for they offered. After I signed up I contacted Tatiana to make sure she saw my reservation. After some discussion on the phone she made it clear that the trip I selected would not be a great option today based on the waves being so rough. So she offered to take me on an inter coastal waters tour. She came and picked me up from the hotel and brought me out to the launching dock. We went out and had a great time. There was also a verbal altercation a few groups over but the beach patrol talked everyone down and it was fine. The beach Cafe was pretty awesome. You can have food and drinks delivered to you on the beach. There are also Umbrella and Chair rentals and they do all the set up and tear down for you. I would go again.
