Horrible customer service. I returned to this salon less than 15 hours after my service due to the wrong shape of my acrylic nails. Had I realized during the service I would have notified them however I am not a nail tech and have not had issues here in the past. The tech applied to nails at an upward angle causing them to ramp upwards. when I have gone to this shop in the past with different tech my nails were flat and shaped like a normal nail. despite being a loyal customer to this business they would not give me my money back or fix the service. Rushed service gel pedicure and paid $70. Was definitely not worth the price for the terrible service.

Way overpriced...took three teenage girls for a gel pedicure...the wall plaque says $35.00 for a gel pedicure...I was charged $180.00.

I've been here a few times the past year and a half. The first few times were ok. However previous to last time I was here I was getting my acrylics removed. NEVER have I ever had a nail tech create so many little cuts on my cuticles. Why? Because the whole time she was doing my nails she was talking on FaceTime. So unprofessional!!. You can't be doing someone's nails while on FaceTime. I was so disappointed. I paid though and didn't come back for awhile. Until the other day, I was getting nails for my prom. I was getting a pedicure, which on the board it says gel toes $35... +$15 chrome. so why was it that my nails cost 70? I asked the lady and she just said it was higher price. I still paid. However my chrome was done HORRIBLY. The chrome is messy around my nails and the lady didn't even wipe it off around. Don't get me started on my friends nails. ( I'll insert the picture) Her toes looked fine. Her fingers on the other hand looked like a toddler did them. There's bumps ALL throughout her nails. The corners are missing chrome and polish. This place has gone down hill. And for 180 dollars between the two of us I expected WAY more. The ladies are nice, but unprofessional!!. I only came here because I figured I'd give it another chance and also because Kevin's nails is hard to get into. But it will be worth the wait for him because I'm not coming here again and do not recommend this place to anyone. Your money is better spent on press ons. read more

I got a gel manicure, and the lady did a bad job in my opinion. 1. She tech seemed very rushed and swirled the polish around on my nails. You can kind of see the sideways streak marks of the direction she went on some nails. 2. (Not the tech's fault) the polish itself is not the best quality, so I have air bubbles on some nails. 3. The tech did not wipe all of the nail dust off of my nails after she sanded them and proceeded to apply the polish overtop of the shavings. It was very noticeable on one nail, so I asked her about it, but she told me my nail was like that in the first place and that I might be calcium deficient... Overall, the salon was nice, I was just unhappy with my nail tech. read more

I got a gel mani/pedi, was in & out within 45 minutes. the lady used the same toe nails clippers on me as she did other people, I know that because there was still polish on them from the last person. Wish I could give a better review but I simply can't. Went there with my mom. Her pedicure started before mine & ended after mine. I felt like mine was an express pedi. I guess the girl thought I was a tourist & would probably never return so she did a quick job. I never had such a quick pedi before. It was my first one since February 2020 ( pre-pandemic) so I know my feet needed attention. I didn't see much difference afterwards. Just glad my mom's experience was better than mine. Unfortunately it was so rushed I didn't catch the woman's name who did mine. The pedi wasn't cheap either, $30, and I still kindly tipped her $10. Sorry. If 0 starts was an option I would've chose that one. We are in Wildwood visiting for my moms birthday. Needed our nails done, we called & they got us in within 10 min of us being there. Which we appreciated. But then the lady I had not only pulled my hand and pushed my hand down multiple times. Messed up my middle finger nail and the color of my nails were white and the middle finger was a shade lighter. My mom requested a full set with just regular polish and the lady she had said no I put gel and that's At least 25$ more!!!!! My nails were 40$ and she charged me 45$ just because. I had never been to Rio Nails before but I was in the area and figured I would give it a try. I walked in with broken, 3 week old, way too thick acrylic nails from a place in Miami and Kevin took me right away. All I told him was that my nails were way too thick for my liking. He began working away and as soon as he started to fill my very first nail I could tell we were going to get along great. He took his time, paid attention, and used the smallest amount of product needed to create the desired thickness (actually lack of) that I wanted. Before he even sanded my nails to shape and buff they were practically perfect. Once the polish went on I fell in love with my nails, and I'll admit to being a picky client when it comes to having acrylic nails. The only negative about my appointment, which really isn't that bad, is that I was charged $28 when a fill is advertised as $20. Kevin did end up putting on two new tips, but when I asked for the breakdown for the price he said that each extra tip cost $2 and that the removal of my gel polish was $4. I'm skeptical because never in my manicuring life have I been charged for the removal of gel polish on acrylic nails. Don't they have to sand them anyway? All in all I had a pleasant experience and the next time I'm back in the area I will be returning for my fill. read more

DONT EVER GET YOUR EYEBROWS DONE HERE!!!!! I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for 20 years and came here on a whim for a mani and they upsold me on an eyebrow wax. Within minutes the skin between my eyes was crazy itchy and breaking out. After my beyond rushed mani was done and I was drying it was itching so badly that I went to ask for more cooling gel AND SHE TRIED TO PUT IT ON WITH HER FINGERS and when I asked her not use her fingers she told me to use my own, UM WHAT?! Did I just have to ask for cotton!? I don't know whether the wax was dirty or what but the amount of itching and redness was not normal!!!! They refused a refund and basically told me 'oh well' and argued with me in front of the entire salon saying it was my fault!? How does that even make sense!? I was s walk in. I'm here for vacation. The first time i went the owner took me and did a good job on my pedicure. She used a grinder tool on a thick mail and I thought it made a difference. I came back for a second time and got a man named Sony. Although polite he didn't quite understand that I needed that tool on the same nail. He had gloves on but when he took them off he had a dime sized wart on this hand. I should have walked but I didn't. I hope they read this.... I will not be going back. read more

Have been here quite a few times an has enjoyed my experience. However on my last time here I brought my daughter with me. We both wanted refills and spa pedicures. My spa pedicure was very rushed, she squeezed the differed creams and lotions all in at one time and massaged once. My ingrown nails remained. My bill sent me through the roof $240 for 2 refills with gel polish no fancy designs and 2 spa pedicures. I cannot afford to come here on a regular basis nor do I want to when my services were below average. read more

Pedicure spa chairs are abundant, perfect to go with a friend or three with...in total, 10 chairs, 5 lined up on either side of the salon, all facing a very pretty scene. Waxing services are available as well.... This place isn't a budget salon, but the difference is definitely the quality...they do not rush you out and will take their time. Summer time is killer! Come during the week and avoid the weekend rush. But if you do come on weekends, go during evening hours, say 6 pm. Appointments available and are recommended. My mom and I went here for a pedicure a couple days ago. We arrived at 7:30pm (they close at 8pm). We asked if it was too late to get a pedicure, and if so, we would be happy to come back the next day. We did not want to be rushed. The pedicure was a nightmare. Not only did the technician RUSH through my pedicure, but she didn't even rub my feet! What kind of pedicure fails to include a standard foot rub?! She rubbed my legs for maybe 30 seconds a side (if that), and then proceeded to dry me off and paint my nails. After 1 coat of color, she proceeded to apply the top coat. At that point, I had to speak up and say something. She then, in a sloppy hurry, added a second coat and another coat of the topcoat. The entire pedicure took 20 minutes. I was seated at the drying station at 7:50pm. The best part, is that I assumed that this HORRIBLE pedicure would cost roughly $20 - especially considering that it sucked so bad. These people have the nerve to charge $30 for the most rushed, sloppy, and lacking pedicure of my life. $30 and I didn't even get my feet rubbed. Add on a $5 tip (as much as I wanted to forgo the tip, I couldn't be that evil), and the total was $35 for the worst pedicure I've ever received. I will never go back. I hope you don't either. I went to Rio nails because my regular salon was packed.. Got in pretty quick.. But the people were soooo rude. Down right NASTY... Asked for an extra foot massage... She was so annoyed.. Charged me double what my regular place does and had a hissy fit.. The water was burning hot, so I quickly removed my feet.. She started screaming that I got water on the floor!!! At this point, I didn't care if she understood my disgust, I was mad. Understand, I would have been outta there asap but I went with a friend.. I am so tired of getting ripped off at these nail places. I've been getting nail dips for a few years now so I know the process by heart. My usual place was closed and I was leaving for Florida so I went here. I went in and asked if they do dips and of course the girl says they do...I could tell she wasn't trained properly right away because she made me use the ultra violet lights 10 times throughout the process and I've never even used it at all in any other salon. I'm assuming the heat from the lights made the glue run to the tips of my nails and leave big lumps as shown. I came in with 2 broken nails which were much shorter than the rest and she was going to leave them that way! I told her to put tips on those but she only did one and said she could build the other out. The nail tip should be square, but u can see in the pic what I got. I complained while I was there and she argued that dips are thicker than gel. I get that but u need to know the process of applying it, that's ridiculous looking! She got her $45 but I will never go back. If workers don't know how to do something then don't let them do it!! read more

Horrible. Staff was impolite from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. I'm used to people speaking in different languages at the nail salon to each other but at this location it was non-stop and I truly thought they were talking about me. The woman doing my nails asked me if I wanted a third coat. Upon looking at my nails I said yes since there were several areas were there was no polish on my nails. I pointed out the areas and instead of apologizing she seemed annoyed that I pointed out the spots on my nails missing nail polish. The manicure was $15 which is a lot for a base manicure. I paid with credit and said I would tip in cash. I handed her a $10 and asked her to break it for a tip. She handed me two five dollar bills obviously wanting me to tip $5 on a $15 manicure. Why the heck would I tip 40% for crap service? This woman not only did a bad job in my nails she didn't ask me one thing about myself and talked in her own language the whole time. When I handed her two dollars for a tip I seriously thought she was going to spit on me. With the way my nails look I was considering not tipping at all. I also mentioned to the woman who was working on my nails that one nail was not smooth and she refused to fix it. This salon is beautiful & clean. I am a local & I am in there a lot. The prices are a bit high but comparable w/this (shore) area. My experiences there have always been positive, the staff are very respectful to me & those I see around me.
