I have been coming to this salon for over 8 years. I'll never come back. The owner took 2 walk-ins before me, when I was on time for my appointment. This time I said something because it wasn't the 1st time. I was told it wouldn't be long. I sat down for my service 45 minutes later. This is a coastal community but I come in all year because I live here. Kims is very clean and has a huge selection of polish options and colors. It was no trouble getting an appointment, but it does seem that they overbook a bit so be prepared to wait for your seat a few minutes even though you had a time slot booked. The cons: It took a very long time for my gel manicure (about an hour and a half) because the technicians kept shifting around since there were so many clients and not enough technicians. I had one person start my manicure and another complete it which was a bit time consuming. The pros: My manicure lasted well over two weeks. The technicians were thorough and detailed. Also, pricing here can't be beat with a gel mani coming in under $30. I would definitely go back, but at a less crowded time. read more

Just went in to get my eyebrows done. The lady was clearly in a rush but took me back instead of just saying she was too busy. Did my eyebrows in under a minute and they look horrible. She completely ruined the shape of them while not getting what needed to be removed from the center. I've spent years maintaining them being even because they aren't naturally and just like that I'm back to one of them being visibly higher than the other. I'm completely beside myself. Don't take customers in a rush, you'll live without the 10 dollars you made from me. read more

I am so impressed with the excellent service my mother, 8 year old child and I received at Kim's nails today. We walked in on a whim and were greeted promptly with smiles and no wait for open chairs. We proceeded to have the most meticulous and thorough pedicures we've ever had with exceptional customer service. The place is big, open, clean and efficient. Lovely salon! I was able to make a same day appointment. Huge and clean on the inside with plenty of street parking. Came here during COVID in July and was very pleased with how they are operating. They take everyone's temperature, have you sign a consent and require everyone to have masks on. Also, skipping chairs in between clients and clear plastic barriers in between the tech and client. I got a spa pedicure for $45. They did a great job! read more

I don't understand why the staff is so miserable!! the lady that did my nails was nasty, and gave me an attitude when I asked to see another color. Then they switch the tech on you, one for nails, and one for pedicure. Also, learn how to use gloves! if you put a pair on for my care, you should not touch anything else!! the guy I had was playing on his phone after putting them on to give me my pedicure. it's called cross contamination! It defeats the whole purpose. They truly made it feel like it was more of an inconvenience to have you there, than as a valued customer. read more

I had an appointment and had to wait even longer. When I finally sat down, the first male was taking off my old acrylic nails by hurting me and ripping my real nails. I told him he was hurting me and was still being very aggressive. Then, some lady took over who was rushing so much. She was using the grinder tool so hard and so fast it kept hitting my skin. At one point, she wasn't even looking at my nails while grinding them down, making her hit my skin once again. I left with 4 bleeding fingers. Not going back. Have been here a few times. Never overly impressed but this last visit solidified I'll go somewhere else from now on. I made my appointment 2 weeks in advance. When I got there, was told I could only have one of the two services completed due to them overbooking. I chose the dip mani. All my nails were cracked and lifting within 4 days of the service. I tried to call to explain what happened and was told they didn't have any appointments available the rest of the week. Pretty frustrating when you pay and tip a fair amount for a service. Came with my girls for a pedicure while on vacation. Unimpressed and not happy with judgement of staff who denied us service because they had appointments coming in soon. Place closes at 5, while we arrived at 2:30.....ummm for real. My friend said can we wait and the lady actually said no. as an esthetician i found this appalling and unprofessional. Honestly, the best mani-pedi I've ever had. Staff so nice as well. Clean, friendly, fantastic service.

I think Kim's nails is the best in North Wildwood. They do a great job, work fast, are friendly and the shop is super clean and uncluttered. The only thing that is annoying is that they have ESPN on the TV's instead of something more neutral and geared towards women which is probably 99.9% of their clientele. There are several men that work in the shop so they are probably the only one's really interested in sports. I want to relax when I get my nails done and watching sports is not how I like to relax. The Owner of this Nail Salon is the RUDEST person ever! I've gone here periodically over several years always in hopes of a different outcome but she has always been rude. I went today and she asked if I had an appointment and when I said no she huffed and roll her eyes! I couldn't believe it and as a business owner myself I would NEVER treat a client like that. I've seen her do this to other clients and it's unbelievable that she's still in business no doubt because people don't have a lot of choices to get their nails done. On top of that she was telling another client that she needs to bring Cash from now on to pay for services. You could tell the woman was uncomfortable and questioned her and she said YES CASH from now on!!!!! Maybe just maybe a call to the IRS and town of North Wildwood is needed because she's blatantly hiding her true income! Wow, I am surprised none of the Wildwood regulars have written about this place yet because it is usually pretty busy with locals. So it is in a strip mall like most other Asian nail salons and, yes, it looks no different from the outside than the others...but the service rocks. When I lived in Wildwood full-time, I would go here twice a month for their mani/pedis. At $35 they are about on par with other salons but, now having had a series of unexpected crappy manis/pedis in DC and the surrounding environs, I value Kim Oriental Nails IV so much more. They are extremely clean and I have never once been nicked or handled roughly by any of their staff, not something I can say for my experiences in DC. I have recently become a convert to the gel manis that last for weeks (even a month) and these guys do a fantastic job. Salon is light, airy and comfortable and the staff is extremely friendly and they remember you after one visit...and none of them have that "stoned by forced labor look" that I have seen in other salons. I see Daisy, who by far has given me the most thorough pedicure ever and does a meticulous job on manicures. Friends see the two guys (one is a bit older and I think is the owner) and are equally pleased, especially with tips and fills. Only downfall is that their pricing on other services can be a bit erratic (eyebrow wax was $6 one week and $9 the next) but they are the best option down the shore for manis/pedis. Try the gel mani next time (which is a bit more spendy by about $10) and ask for Daisy, you'll be happy... read more

Made same day Appointment. Place was very busy when I arrived. I was there for a pedicure. They asked me to wash my hands before anything else. the business was very clean! I picked a color while waiting. An employee came over and asked me to sign Covid waiver. Although restrictions have been lifted, everyone was wearing masks. It was not mandatory though. They had plexiglass up everywhere for safety. I waited about 15-20 min for appointment to start. Then was put in massage chair and soaked feet in spa for about 15 min. My technician was pleasant but not overly friendly. He was very good at his job and I was very pleased with the amount of time and the results. Everything is super clean. Instruments used came in sterilized packaging. Plastic lined the spa section of the chair and had a 1/4 of a lemon in it. I will definitely return here! Been to several other salons in area, and although friendlier, I'd rather have the good results. read more

Great salon spot on the island. Checked it out for the first time this weekend. I had to initially wait about 15 minutes, however I think they were efficient once I sat down. $18 for an acrylic refill, which is good and much better than what another place on the island charges. Terrible experience. I made an appointment for my mom and myself for manis and pedis. We got there on time and sat for 20 minutes before getting seated separately - my mom was taken over for a pedicure while I was seated for a manicure. I waited another 15 minutes and when a woman finally sat down to do my manicure it was like she'd never been inside a salon before. She got up about five times because she kept forgetting her supplies. Then she stood got up at least four times to go work on another patron while in the middle of my manicure. It literally took an hour to do a plain old manicure, which didn't even end up looking that great. Then on to my pedicure. I waiting another 15 minutes and only when I started to gather my things to leave did one of the workers head over. He was also totally distracted and kept getting up any time someone came in the door or the phone rang. I got a rushed massage, crappy one-coat pedicure. Never again. read more

I was there for the first time yesterday. Do not go there. Got my nails and toes done. I got the dip. First of all it cost more than any other place I've been and they don't soak your nails or do your cuticles. The guy who did my nails actually made 2 bleed by digging around the cuticles with his fingers. My first and last time there!!! Cost me $60 plus tip. read more

I can honestly say I have never felt more ripped off by a nail salon in my entire life. The guy who did my nails was so rude and kept saying 'gimme' every time he needed to switch hands. I sat there for over an hour getting a fill which is the longest it has ever taken for me and I've been doing it for years. To top it all off, it cost $45!!! Never have I ever paid that for a fill. Especially when it says $30 on the board. I came here because of the great reviews and I so badly needed my nails done but I have never left so disappointed at a salon EVER. read more
