I've had a great experience at Rio Laundromat overall. Every time I come here, there's always parking available, which makes things very convenient. The customer service has consistently been great, and the place is generally easy and comfortable to use. That said, I did want to mention one concern. On multiple occasions, I've noticed an employee working while also caring for her young children--sometimes having them in the office area, and at times even cleaning while holding them. I don't know the employee's name, but she appears to be a Hispanic woman. I say this with respect, as I understand that situations can be difficult, but I don't believe it's appropriate or safe to have children in the work area of a laundromat. I hope management can address this in a way that supports both the employee and maintains a safe environment for everyone. This is very clean laundromat. They have all kind of washer and dryer's. It's spacious. They got vending machines with snacks and drinks. I was quite impressed by this 24-hour self-service laundromat. I rarely find that this is the case. Where to begin with all the benefits and pluses of this laundromat... 1) PARKING: The number of parking spots were overwhelming with the abundance of them. The parking lot was comprised of a large-sized lot and another attached medium-sized lot directly in the back. NOTE: The entrance to the doors were located in the back. Though there were only 2 handicapped parking spots in front of the doors, with such an outstanding amount of allotted wide parking spaces, parking will likely not pose a problem, even for those with mobility issues. 2) ROLLING LAUNDRY CARTS FREE TO USE: Several dozen well-built clean rolling laundry carts were free to utilize and were conveniently placed throughout the laundromat and outside the doors for the ease and convenience of their patrons. The clothes hanging bars attached to the rolling laundry carts were also medium-sized in height which translated to the ability to easily wheel in/out your laundry from/to your vehicle. 3) CLEANLINESS: For 2:30 am, I was prone to forgive small areas of dirt or soiled areas if I found them. Well, I never found them To my surprise, the laundromat was immaculate! Even the areas of the two free bathroom were pristine. The laundry machines worked perfectly so I had clean, fresh-smelling, and undamaged clothing each time. 4) FREE USAGE OF 2 BATHROOMS: Oh, while mentioning the free bathrooms...well...there were FREE bathroom access for patrons! No need to worry about forgetting small change or obtaining weird proprietary tokens for the bathroom! Just WOW!!! There were one male and one female designated bathrooms and the bathrooms were spacious with a modernized touch and decor. 5) EMPLOYEE ON PREMISES 24/7: The employee was clearly distinguishable with a bright neon yellow vest and was diligently working/cleaning the entire time I was there. I wish that I saw that type of dedication more often ...especially at 2:35 am. 6) NUMEROUS SIZED WASHER AND DRYERS: A plethora of washer and dryer sizes were available to accommodate small loads of laundry to loads requiring immense 45 and 75 lb dryers!!! Good gracious! Everyone can find the correct size suitable for their needs. 7) SO MANY AREAS TO SIT AND FOLD LAUNDRY: I often struggled with finding enough places to fold laundry or rest at OTHER laundromats. That was not the case here. Numerous clean and sturdy benches, seats, and tables were available and spread throughout in many parts of the laundromat. If you wanted to practice safe Covid-19 distancing from others, this could easily be achieved at this laundromat. 8) REASONABLE PRICES: The pricing to wash and dry was quite reasonable. Washers were priced (as of April 23, 2022) at $1.75 and up. Dryers were priced at $0.25 per every 12 minutes. I typically found that I only needed approximately 3 quarters ($0.75) for most fabrics and regular sized loads of laundry. You may need 4 to 5 quarters ($1.00 to $1.25) for heavier fabric such as jean material or larger items such as comforters or duvets. 9) SEVERAL DIFFERENT CHANGE MACHINES: If you forgot any combination of coins, cash, or credit cards, that was not an issue here. Laundry machine card machines, money bill change machines, money coin/quarters change machines, ATM, and credit card features were readily available. 10) VENDING MACHINES: If you forgot detergent or find yourself craving a beverage/snack, that was not an issue here either with the assortment of vending machines/dispensers. 11) ENTERTAINMENT: There were a few arcade game machines, carnival-style game machines, and several televisions to help occupy the attention of children and adults alike. And now for the last, but definitely not least, aspect... 12) SAFETY: I have never felt SAFER at any laundromat as I did here. There were no men hitting or pressuring me while here. If I felt that another individual was in too close proximity to me, I merely had the option to move down to another aisle of washers and dryers...without that person disturbing my task. In the past at OTHER laundromats, I would get bothered so much that it would make me feel so cornered or vulnerable that I would have to leave. Here, however, was an entirely different vibe. Everyone was solely focused on finishing the task at hand and it was a comforting relief to get away from unwanted attention and harassment. CONS? I honestly didn't find any. If you need a self-service laundromat, especially late into the night, don't hesitate to use this place. I doubt that I will ever find anything with the same comparable, reasonable, clean and SAFE complete experience as this one!!! Don't waste your time with other laundromats! read more

When my dryer went kaput, I went to Rio to do my laundry. I love the freedom to come at any time as they're open 24/7. No matter how early I arrived (usually around 2A-4AM) the place was always busy. However, Rio is definitely the biggest laundromat I've ever been to (probably the size of 3-4 regular laundromats) so finding machines to use is never a problem. People are respectful and never caused any problems so it's easy to feel safe here. There's always an employee roaming around checking the machines and being of assistance if need be. Both sides of the building are filled to the brim with various size washers and dryers. There's seating in the middle with TVs and some arcade games if you get bored or need to entertain your kids. There are also plenty of carts to go around if you need help lugging your laundry around. Honestly Rio is one of the best laundromats I've been to. Plenty of parking, plenty of machines, plenty safe. It gets pretty warm inside so dress accordingly! read more

To be quite honest this is the most tidiest and pleasant laundromat I think I've ever been too. I recently went to a different one close to my area on Ventura and needless to say I left crying from how I was treated and how poorly the place was kept up. Understandable that laundromats are for washing and that's it, but this place makes you feel like you can get that done in a pleasant and clean environment. As well, I have not had one bad interaction with an employee at this establishment, they are all so nice and humble working hard people. Although my parents have a washer and dryer at home, my mom's king-sized comforter needed a large washer (4-load) and Rio Laudromat was the perfect solution to that! Pro's: -spacious parking lot dedicated to the laundromat -multiple laundry carts -lots of washer and dryers of different sizes (of course, the larger, the pricier) -entertainment and snacks on-site (arcade games, TV, vending machines) -laundry detergent and items for sale if you forget to bring yours -organized system of loading the card with money and using it for laundry instead of quarters though the latter is accepted as well -money breaker to split your big bills (love this machine)! -clean bathroom Con's: -none at this time Tips: -The prices are cheaper when you use your laundry card to pay (i.e. for a 4-load washer: $4.00 with quarters vs $3.69 with their card) -The price for drying is 25 cents for 12 minutes regardless if you pay with quarters or card Given it was my first time here, I had to ask one of the attendants for help and bless her soul, she helped me A LOT...from purchasing and loading my laundry card to fixing my mistake of putting the detergent in the wrong box. I have been coming here for over a year. It's an ok laundromat. I appreciated the prices and 24hr access. However sad to say, they cater to their Hispanic community. You don't really know who's working unless they're cleaning and they speak very little English. I'm willing to put all of that to the side. Today was enough though - bad experience all around. For the past three weeks I have encountered two customers here who come in with LOADS of laundry. They take over machines and dryers and have no consideration for others space. They have moved my things a few times. But they are close to whoever works here so they feel entitled to do as that please. Conveniently today just as they were finishing the power goes out. I had just unloaded my things from the washer and I stood by the dryers waiting for some type of communication. A worker went to turn off and on the electrical circuit, nothing. He walks out and just stands at the door. Still, no communication no word to anyone about what's happened. So I figured it out on my own and left. Horrible customer experience. And sad to say I will probably never return here again read more

Decided on this place because of the reviews. My overall experience was good. The staff are helpful and friendly. The machines use money cards that you get from the cashier. She showed me how to use the money card and add value. The parking lot really is big which is nice! I was here on a Sunday morning. The space is mostly the front load washers that are $4.00 And up. The do have top load for $1.50 or something but the machines are old and worn. I would just pay the extra for front loaders. The space is very clean, plenty tables to sit. The only bad part was that it was a little crowded and there weren't enough baskets. People park them next to their station with their stuff in them so you can't just grab a random one. I literally had to ask a random customer to borrow his basket to get my clothes out of the washer to haul to the dryer. It was annoying to say the least. Outside of that issue, I think it's fine. Is it weird that I'm reviewing a laundry place? Probably. ANYWAY. I really really REALLY love this place. One of the biggest pros about this place is because it's basically by itself, there is a TON of parking! I will say that it does get crowded but since they have A LOT of machines, it isn't that hard to wait for something to open up. I also like the fact that they never seem to run out of laundry carts. Another plus for me is the free wi-fi. There's a variety of washing machines for your various laundry load needs and a lot of dryers for you to choose from. The price to wash is cheaper if you buy one of their re-usable cards which is pretty good to me. For the size of their machines I like that I pay less that what I do for the washing machines at my apartment. Plus, I never have to wait on 3 other people doing their laundry. We also like the fact that the folding space actually has enough space to share. The crew that works there really keeps the place clean and they're always to help out when you have a question. My wife and I secretly really love this place because it has the Galaga/PacMan arcade machine. Every time I come here I have to sweat in the heat while folding my clothes because I'm guessing they're too cheap to turn on some air. And I know its covid 19 right now but it was like this way before the pandemic. Also the water smells like sewage water. I don't know why and it makes my clothes stink. Why do I keep coming back? Because I loaded a lot of money on to the laundry card so I need to use it before I find a new place. I'm unemployed right now. This place is always packed with the staffs family. The attendants refuse to help and act so bothered when you tell them what's NOT working inside their business. I would advise to stay away from this place unless you want to wait 20 minutes for the staffs family members to remove their clothes from the washers before you can actually throw your own load in. They have their own gated parking lot. Washing machines: they all seem pretty new. They are always clean and I've yet to find a dirty musty smelling washing machine. The dryers work great as well. Cleanliness: Id give it a 5/5. It's always super clean and there's always someone sweeping and cleaning the machines. Extra: they have a little store where you can buy whatever you need to wash like laundry soap, dryer sheets, etc. They have plenty of seating.
