Last night there was a UYE at Shamrock, and I went downstairs to grab banner out of my car. This place is downstairs from Shamrock, so while I was walking to my car, I got distracted by all the shiny red things in the window. Amazingly, they were still open (!) so I popped in to check out what they had, and find out "how much for that shiny red dress in the window?"
This place reminds me a little bit of Forever 21, so I was expecting prices to be similar (i.e. cheap). Turns out I was wrong about that, as dresses were more in the $45-$60 range. But if they're great quality, that's not necessarily an unreasonable price.
I only had a few minutes, so didn't intend to buy anything, but this EPIC pair of sparkly red boots were calling my name. There were only three pairs left, and one of them happened to be in my size. Therefore, Happy Valentine's Day to me! Hooray sparkly red boots. They totally match the sparkly red cowboy hat I bought on Bourbon Street during our Relive the Superbowl Party. (Seems I have good luck shopping during Yelp events. Hmm...)
Since I go to Shamrock all the time, I'm sure I'll be back at Rio to try some stuff on, and perhaps even buy more shiny red things. If you're looking for slutty dresses or red hooker shoes, this is totally your place. Or, if you're just looking for a clothing adventure.
P.S. No, my boots are not slutty, they are shiny and red. And they make me like six inches taller and they're even comfortable! I'll be hiking for miles in these things, so they're totally worth the $70 I paid for them. (Which is more than I usually spend on shoes. Then again, I pretty much only wear flip flops, so that could be a factor.) read more
