We had a great experience here from start to finish. The food was excellent, full of flavor, served hot, fresh, and fast, even with special requests. The service truly made the night. Our waiter was outstanding: friendly, entertaining, and incredibly attentive. He went out of his way to engage the kids, making them laugh and feel included, which made the experience fun for them. You will find the usual suspects on their menu, you know, the typical stuff you find on Mexican restaurants all over the country. This is not necessarily a bad thing. There is something to be said for familiarity and who does not love good Mexican food? Ambiance is nothing special. Looks like many other roadside food places. The service was friendly and professional. The food is good, though nothing groundbreaking, and made for a nice dinner. The chile verde was good, though the salsa could use a bit more of a kick. This restaurant has some issues such as ROACHES yes they have ROACHES and unless you want them crawling out of your food and having a pool party in your drink, I don't recommend. Also I found a greasy, rusty screw from their equipment. Once I showed them that there was a screw in my food, they just took it away and gave me another plate to have another chance to get another roach and screw Once you get done eating here you will have nuclear diarrhea and feel a burning in your esophagus.DISGUSTING!!!!! read more

Their food is always incredible however; their Facebook page says they're open and taking orders by phone. Neither of their two phones are picking up. This has happened multiple days between 11:30-1:00. Maybe they're closed due to COVID-19 but again their Facebook page is still sharing specials every two or three days. ‍ read more

The salsa was very tasty, but without much of a kick. I tried a chicken enchilada, a beef taco and a tamale. The tamale was covered with a red sauce and ground beef. The masa was ok but thick and gooey in consistency. The chicken enchilada tasted like the chicken was rolled into a corn tortilla and then just covered the red sauce. The taco was very good. Absolutely love Rio. It is our "go to place" in town! Best Mexican food you'll find. I suggest the fajitas or the cheese steak burrito. You can't go wrong with either. The salsa is great. They do offer a milder salsa as an option for customers. Works great with kids. The environment is great complete with light music in the background. read more

Very busy place but last night they had a cheerleading fund raiser and the back of the restaurant had a couple of kids where the cheerleaders decided to go gather. Several of the cheerleader came by and asked us if we needed anything but there was a group of the girls that thought they were too good to "do their part" and decided to sit and talk with the guys. We never saw a sponsor come and check to make sure they were doing what was needed. A tighter reign needs to be be on the food raiser. The food was great like always but fund raiser added a little chaos to our dining experience. read more
