Incredibly, delicious food. A true hidden south Philly gem. A must try!…read more Their fish dishes are so fresh, so so so good. My go to favorite is any of the dishes with "con Camarones en Crema Chipotle". Delicate and light sauce with a really nice spice, it has a bit of heat that isn't too hot or overwhelming with perfectly cooked seafood. Chicken Pastelitos - huge crowd favorite. You get four puffy, fried pastelitos, with their lightly pickled red onions. Two pastelitos is enough for one meal, so enough to share or for leftovers. Montucas - the sweet corn Hondurian Tomale is so tasty it could be a dessert dish. Everyone devoured it. Guacamole - nice size portion, love the addition of the pickled red onions. Very fresh, a solid go to. Carne Asada Platillos Hondurenos - the meat is tender, and delicious. Great flavor. Comes with tender hand pressed tortillas. Enough for two. Mild spice. My dad doesn't like super spicy dishes - he ordered the Pechuga a la Mexicana and was thrilled. The sauce had tons of flavor with a mild spice that was perfect for him. Chicken was tender and again, the portions were enough for two. By far the crowd favorite was the Chicharron pupusas. The pupusas come with a yellow slaw and the most fantastic dipping sauce. Use your hands, tear off some pupusas, pack some slaw in the middle, dunk and enjoy. Highly Highly recommend! I know in my review I noted that several of these dishes are a mild spicy level, they send a collection of sauces with the order, that are perfect for upping the heat and flavor level even more. For myself and my wife, we love spicy food, and really enjoyed the sauces with our meal. I've ordered both on Grubhub, and in person. Both were incredible fast. Food arrived hot and fresh!

Food definitely hit the spot. Local hidden Honduran gem located in the heart of South Philly. You…read moreknow its good when you see a lot of locals. I ordered the fish with shrimp dish smothered with chipotle sauce and oh boy, it was sooo gooood. They also gave us a side of fresh home baked tortilla and it was definitely the best I had from a local Spanish spot in Philly.

I love this place! The sign outside says "Restaurant Catracho" but I think the technical name is…read more"Restaurant Tacos Locos Honduras and Mexican", which is a mouthful. They have Honduran food as well as Mexican. My first time here I got baleadas and pupusas and I loved them. There was a bit of a language barrier and they were in the middle of setting up for a private party but if all worked out ok. I stopped going for a while (I kind of just forgot about it). But recently I've had some Sunday burrito cravings and a lot of the places nearby are closed on Sundays. I love their burritos! Everything is very reasonably priced. Some of the cheapest food in the area, but that doesn't mean it's not good. I've tried many things from the menu and nothing has disappointed me. A standout is the pollo con tajadas (chicken with slices). It's fried chicken on top of a slaw with fried bananas, salsa, pickled onions and sauces. It's ridiculously good. Be careful when ordering from the menu and going off the English translation. Some of it is a little off. For instance, if it says "meat" it usually means beef. And if it says "steak" it means "fish filet". I've received meals that were different than what unexpected, but I've never been disappointed. The only things I think could be improved is their hot sauce is not very hot. Also the rice is just ok. I'm willing to look past this since the food is delicious, cheap, good portions and quick! Definitely give this place a try! Don't go to Juno or Chinesca unless you want to pay a lot of money for inferior food, but good ambiance. This place is definitely lacking ambiance, but I really don't care. By the way, you can order online from their website http://orderrestaranttacoslocoshondurasandmexicanfood.com/ (longest URL of all time)

I had been here before and remember it was good though it was awhile ago. This time I was craving…read morebaleadas and was in the area. I ordered in and picked up my 2 baleadas with chicken and all the fixings. The other option was chorizo, sadly they had no beef. Got home to 2 large baleadas and for the price of $15 not bad at all. Everything in it was good but the chicken. It was a bit dry and had lil taco seasonings on it not very authentic Honduran flavors. I'll be back and request if beef can be added or just get them without the meat. The beans were good and the tortilla was nice and fluffy. Overall it quelled my craving but that chicken left something to be desired!
