We perused the menu and decided on two orders of the tacos al pastor and one order of the tacos mixto to go. While we waited, we sat down at a table near the front and watched other satisfied looking customers eat and engage in happy conversation. It was a great sight to see. The delicious smell of our food being made got us excited and even hungrier for our meal. In about 10-15 minutes, our large order was packaged and ready to go. The price was very fair for the amount of food we received. There was an ample amount of salsa included with the meal and napkins were provided in the bag as well. When we got home to taste the food, we were blown away. The meats were flavorful and succulent and the salsa they provided were so delicious. My favorite was the spicy green one. Needless to say, we couldn't even finish half of what we ordered, but we are excited to have the leftovers for dinner! Will definitely go back and we recommend this restaurant to everyone!

This felt like a sample. My wife's Street Heat Asada Bowl looked impressive on paper. Carne asada, rice, lentils, corn, salsa, guacamole, pickled onions. In reality, it was fine if you like chewing your way through shoe leather labeled "steak." Everything else in the bowl politely got out of the way and let the meat disappoint us. And then there was the pernil and queso empanada. The tragedy. A greasy sponge of dough with pork that managed to be both soggy and dry at the same time. The cheese was not melted throughout, but huddled in one corner like it was hiding from the rest of the filling. I felt almost as sorry for it as my wife did for me. This is not a hatchet job. I want to believe Timbl could be better. Maybe the flavors shine if you sit down in the dining room instead of trusting them to a delivery bag. I approached to check their trifold menu and engaged the man who appeared to be the owner or manager. He was fluently bilingual making it easy to explain what was available and then how I wanted my Torta Milanesa de Pollo prepared. I took a chair at one of the tables, and moments later my lunch was placed before me. It was an enormous sandwich on an oversized oblong roll, dressed in heavy foil at its waist and showing its internals at its edges. Just take a look at the photos. It was an amazing piece of working peoples culinary art. I maneuvered my jaws for a first bite and attempted to compress the width of this monster to fit more in my mouth. I clamped down full force and cut through its many layers. The flavor of the breaded cutlet, spicy mayo, avocado, tomato, onion, queso and lettuce burst out and had a fiesta in my mouth complete with pinata. It was just an excellent sandwich. Eating half would have been enough for a satisfying meal, but I indulged and ate the whole thing right there. Totopos has been in business for about three years. The family running it is from Oaxaca in southern Mexico. They give this corner of North Trenton another reason to visit along with some of the other great hidden kitchens in the neighborhood. .

The broth was similar to Birria consommé with a splash of lime, not spicy but very flavorful, strips of beef and some onions and egg rounded out this good soup, and a good portion.
