We came to Comal Crawfish Company and had the BEST experience thanks to our server, Jorge!…read more He was seriously amazing -- super attentive, constantly checking in on us, and always making sure our drinks were refilled without us even having to ask. He was so kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and just had such a welcoming, personable vibe that made the whole experience even better. He also told us about the specials for the day and made great recommendations. You can tell he really cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does. If you come here, definitely ask for Jorge -- he made our night!

You can buy more sides if you want. Our first batch was very spicy, had the seasoning sprinkled on top. Not my favorite method, but oh well. The next round didn't have the spice on top and my husband found that more tolerable. I guess we'll order separate pounds next time LOL I like it when the cayenne makes my head itch! There's a bar area, several tvs around, and a great patio for outdoor seating. Being a crawfish place, it's super casual, and the place was packed by the time we finished. They have a lot of beers on tap and some in bottle too. I told them they should start an early happy hour, maybe 3-6pm, selling pints of draft for $5 and pounds of bugs no sides for $7... we'd definitely go!! As amazing as it was, we spent over $80 on 4 beers and 5# of crawfish and at that rate, it rivals what we spent at McAdoo's...yikes. Still, got my first fix of the season and I was pleased!

The kids loved the playground and splash areas, while the walking trails and peaceful lake breeze made it relaxing for the adults too. Whether you're grilling with family, playing games in the sun, or just enjoying the scenery, this park has an inviting atmosphere that makes it easy to spend the whole day there. Clean, family-friendly, and full of activities, it's definitely a go-to destination for sunshine and outdoor fun.

Luckily, I had read their rules and other comments, so we were very careful and kept our dogs on leash even when they were in the water, lol. The officer seemed very disappointed and walked away. However, he issued fines to at least two groups of families (minors) for some reason -- these two groups didn't bother anyone... But their trips were ruined and I felt sorry for them..( both of them stopped playing music after getting the tickets) We are from Austin, so we don't quite get their reasoning. I would recommend the park give a warning before issuing any tickets... It's $20 per vehicle per day with no re-entry. The park is dog-friendly (dogs must be on leash). The water on the bluff side was super clean, but it's quite dangerous to get down due to the low water level (especially with dogs on leash, but we managed, yay!). The other side (beach side) is very muddy and dirty... garbage everywhere.. It was quite busy on Saturday morning; the long line outside the park started forming around 10 am. We arrived around 9 am, so there wasn't a line.

I ordered the fried catfish while she went with the steak sliders and a margarita. The catfish plate was impressive -- plenty of lightly battered catfish piled on top of a huge serving of waffle fries. The fish was cooked just right, not overly fried or greasy, and it definitely filled me up. I would absolutely order it again. My wife wasn't as impressed with the steak sliders, and we both agreed her waffle fries were a little too salty. On the positive side, she really enjoyed her margarita, which helped make up for the meal a bit. One thing we both really appreciated was that they offer a 15% discount for Military and Veterans, which is always a nice gesture to see. Overall, it was still a good first experience. I'll definitely be back for the catfish, and my wife said she'd try something different next time. Nice atmosphere, good service, and worth checking out if you haven't been before.

The only reason the chunks were partially held together was because of the cheese on it. Obviously not juicy at all, but the toppings and bun were good. My favorite thing on the menu is the ahi salad, and I like a lot of the appetizers as well as the Sunday drink specials,, but this burger (pic of leftover burger crumbs) was impossible to eat. A huge disappointment, but I didn't want to send it back and not eat with my son or to piss the cook off.
