I have been receiving pain management support for close to twenty years for idiopathic…read morepolyneuropathy. I have been to three different pain management clinics over the years. Receiving care at PISA has been a welcome relief. Unlike other pain management clinics in Tucson, this is an actual, REAL, doctor's office. I do not feel like I am at a methadone maintenance clinic or am perceived and treated as an addict. I haven't heard one rageful patient yelling at staff, whew. These are expert, competent physicians offering comprehensive treatment. The staff are kind, friendly, and supportive. There may be pain management clinics in Tucson that I have not experienced that are excellent. I can't speak to that. But in MY experience PISA is the best and I have no difficulty recommending them.

I used to love this place. Now it's clear they are just about the money. They get you in and out…read moresuper fast and don't care what you have to say. I think that's ridiculous asbim the one in 24/7 pain from a disease that will never go away. I have CRPS fibromyalgia scoliosis and migraines. After 6 1/2 year now they insist I come in every month. I can't afford that! Then the keep switching people on me. This one said we'd try new meds so I wouldn't have to come in every month. I said fine they didn't even do that! apparently it's no where in the notes!! They sent a med over I can no longer take because it reacts with a new med I'm on!! ( Which I told the helper and her) then sent my other med over! Last time they lost my paperwork! So tired of this !!!

He is…read morea new doctor at Pain Institute of Southern Arizona and he has a complete lack of compassion. His medical assistant Savannah is also the worst possible person you will have the displeasure to speak with. She fabricates information that is not in your record but is convenient for her excuses for not following through on her duties. They both should be in some other profession, not administering to patients who are in severe pain. Their complete lack of empathy or any trace of compassion mars this usually friendly medical group. I hope the management realizes this and ends their relationship with these providers. This doctor's credentials don't compare to the other doctors on staff. It is laughable that he is even practicing medicine at their level. i had much better luck with the nurse practitioners on staff who have more knowledge.

I bailed many an engineer just like him out while I still worked as an Instrument electrician. He told me no one regardless of the cause of their pain or how long they have been on pain medicine should ever get more than 90 mme of morphine. I was referred to him by my neurologist and when he told me this I told him to absolutely not speak to my primary care doctor. His suggestion for me to continue on the dose I have been taking for over 10 years without incident was to see a psychiatrist about my addiction!!! Well he violated my confidence and spoke to my primary saying they have no business prescribing to me. I would sue him but he is a friend of my primary who I care about. Somewhere near 12 other doctors over 21 years don't agree with him. This media frenzy over narcotics has been a nightmare for anyone with a pain condition. The people getting hurt are the real pain patients not the druggies that have caused all the problems. I know this because a friends son is a junkie and has been on methadone for withdrawal for over 3 years. They are offering him increases in dose while they cut mine over 75%. My life is now a disaster with constant pain. However we are pushing back Look into don't Punish Pain. TRP
