The corn adds a nice chewy texture and is a nice contrast when the acidity might get a bit too much. - Jalea de Mariscos: crisply and well seasoned, there's something here for everyone because it's a combination of fried white fish, calamari, shrimp, and yucca. - Tallarines Verdes: pasta with a pesto made from questo blanco/fresco and spinach and basil, served with a steak on top. The steak is thin, so don't be expecting a specific temperature/cook on it, but it's super flavorful and juicy. Don't let the place's exterior fool you: it's actually spacious and clean, has a backyard, and the staff is very friendly. Best Peruvian food I've tried north of New Jersey!! My parents were in town so I brought them here based on a friend's recommendation. We're Peruvian so our expectations were high and the food delivered! Starting off with the jugo de maracuya which tasted fresh and homemade, not from a powder. There are some sideways street parking right in front of the place but I'm sure there are parking around the area on the streets My bf and I came on Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. We walked in and our waitress was super nice and I took her advice on ordering the tacu tacu maricos because I love seafood. My boyfriend got the one with chicken. We both loved the flavor and the portions are actually very filling The only thing why it's 4 stars is because I can't really give it a 3.5. Pricing really caught us off guard because with 2 entrees, an order of app of empanada, and a drink. It came out to be $100 after tax. Rincon Limeno Restaurant is a Peruvian Restaurant located at 409 Chelsea Street in East Boston. There is but a few parking spots directly in front of the restaurants, otherwise, you can find parking on side streets nearby. My family came during the summer after taking the kids to Noddle Island and was able to enjoy the patio seating outside. The weather was gorgeous and we received great customer service that day. Our waitress did not speak much English but we both tried very hard to make it work. It was a struggle but we finally got our orders in. Our food came out at a good pace. The chef, I assume, helped buss some of the food out. When it came to the fries and sausages for my kids, he was animated when he came out to present them with his creation. I believe I ordered this from the kids menu so I assumed he came out to greet the children. You can tell he was proud of his creation down to the kids menu. The classico rincon limeno is a must try! You have a seafood ceviche served in a wine glass, and beneath it on a plate, is fried battered seafood and a red onion and tomato slaw. Next time, I am not sharing. Get this paired with your favorite drink and sit out in the back patio under the umbrella table with comfy patio seating chairs. As for the two meat dishes that we ordered, the meats were on the chewy side. I would skip the bandeja. The flan was good but pricy and lacked in presentation. They recently opened another restaurant in Revere closer to me so now I can get their ceviche whenever I want. Still, I prefer the patio seating available at their East Boston location. My friends suggested to check out this Peruvian restaurant so we made sure to come on a Saturday around noon. It was a beautiful day so we opted for their outdoor seating. We shared their fried calamari and yuka fries served with a side of chopped up tomatoes. A simple batter over fresh seafood was exactly what we wanted. The freshness of the tomatoes balanced the fried aspect of the dish. For entrees, my friends ordered the fried red snapper, steak served over friends fries while I had the creamy sauce with chicken. Unfortunately their names escape me but with how satisfied we were with each of our dishes, I feel like you couldn't go wrong. The fish was cooked to perfection and a massive portion enough for a minimum of two people. Steak fries were well seasoned with a few slices of sautéed onions for extra crunch. This is my first time trying Peruvian food and I love it! The restaurant is popular and always have a full house. It's a bit small and because there's not a lot of windows it was hot inside. The employees were nice and friendly, they got us seated quickly after a table became available. I got the piscado frito and it comes with a bean soup? Im not familiar with the bean soup but it's like a more liquidy version of frijoles. It was really good with the fish and fried yucca. I dipped my fish in it and mixed the beans w the rice. The fish was evenly crisp but by itself it's not seasoned enough for me which is why I devoured the beans with it. The seco de cabrito is lamb in bean sauce. I liked it because it has a good kick in it. It's not really spicy, but it was hot if that makes sense. The lamb itself was tender, just wished I had more! The ceviche was just okay, but maybe getting ceviche on a Sunday night wasn't the best move in terms of freshness. The chicken dish was really good, but the fried red snapper stole the show. The red snapper was $40 and was twice the size of my face. I've never seen a snapper this big in my life. When I ordered it, the waitress double-checked if I was sure that I wanted it because it was a huge portion. I was confused because I normally have no issues finishing an entire snapper myself, but this was truly family-sized. Took me 3 meals to finish it. Service was great. I didn't take pictures of anything, we had just landed, gotten to our hotel in Chelsea and were starving. They were pretty empty with only one table occupied when we walked in. We do not speak Spanish and it seemed that was the primary language of most the people working there which makes sense given the type of cuisine. However it made asking questions a little difficult. I got a chicken plate that came with a lot of chicken, rice, salad, and fries. There was no sauce for it, no dressing on the salad, and no salt on the fries (which is how I prefer my fries). It was okay, nothing was extraordinary but it was food and it was edible. You definitely get a lot of food on the plate. The food in the Revere location is excellent. I come almost every Sunday. The service is courteous and friendly. The only thing that I would recommend the owner is to tell the servers that noisy music with a very high upbeat should not be allowed. Typically I would go here to eat and have a conversation with my family. The music in the background is always appreciated but it is not pleasant when the workers select the music to make their jobs as a dancing party. Nothing extraordinary about the service. The food while having an authentic taste, offered some variations to the common. This location is open during covid-19 with ample outdoor seating! I highly recommend you call for a reservation or risk waiting upwards of 75 minutes for an outdoor table. When I arrived, I saw staff cleaning a nearby table. They did a great job and even used a vaporized chemical to "steam clean" the tables. Very efficient and made me feel safe eating in that establishment. When you are seated, you'll get just the drinks and desserts menu. The full menu is available via qr code on the table. Don't know how to use that? Simply open your camera like you're going to take a picture and keep the qr code in the photo view for a few seconds - you'll see a link banner pop up that you can click to take you into your browser.
