I was wrong the first time I reviewed this. This place is wonderful. Some food better than others. The potato balls are incredible. The empanadas are great. Beef empanada lovely flavor. Cheese empanada very good. Chicken empanadas can be a little dry. You must must try the garlic sauce offered. They are small sauce containers but WOW. I used three on my meal alone. Took like eight containers home. Will use on everything I cook. Red hot sauce good as well. The staff is happy and very courteous. Place well lit and incredibly clean. Worth trying. read more

This place was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. This is one of the best service I've ever had in my life. When I arrived for my pick up order I seen that it wasn't what I intended to order (probably my fault, I was practicing my Spanish, so it probably didn't translate well). But when I told the waiter about it he said no problem that they would rush the order and give me fresh empanadas as well. When it was finished and it was very quick I paid and he offered me a free dessert as well for my inconvenience. I was so blown away. They didn't even do anything wrong, I thought. And the food. Thanks to Google, I discovered that Rincón del Sabor means "flavor corner." I would have to agree. This unassuming Latin treat is sandwiched between Angelina's and Taste of Soul, but it's no monkey in the middle. This is some great Latin food that will make you sit at your table far after your finished so you can digest the extremely gigante servings they give you. Look, I'm a gringo. FINALLY, An amazing spot for Latino food in DeLand! Before I used to go into Orlando for good Spanish food but now I can stay local for even better Spanish food. Just walking in and seeing the options is mouth watering. The mangu is so good especially with their signature pickled onions. They also have amazing cheese empanadas and every protein is worth trying. I suggest getting their lunch special , I've gotten it 3 days in a row it's 7.49, first day rotisserie chicken, second day roasted pork, third day steak with onions. He also asked where exactly I'd like it delivered so he literally parked and cane up to the second floor to find us! Food was hot and delicious. I ordered two rotisserie chicken with special beans and rice and plantains. I also ordered two roasted pork with the same sides. My dish was the roasted pork with salad and sited veggies. The veggies seemed like the kind you get frozen in a bag. Not recommended. The salad was huge but no dressing; I just put the hot sauce on it. That worked perfect. The garlic sauce was straight up garlicky. So good. The pork didn't need any sauce though. Tons of flavor on its own. Portions were generous. The staff loved their dishes. Hot sauce and garlic sauce are an extra 50 cents each. Not necessary and can be shared cuz a little goes a long way. Would definitely order from here again. The food is delicious. This is the second time I have ordered food from there. 2 meals, each time. The first time the pork shoulder dinner was nothing but a slab of fat and skin. It was completely inedible. I thought maybe I was just unlucky so gave them another try yesterday. I ordered a beef empanada, a cuban, some red beans, macaroni salad and a pork shoulder dinner. The beef empanada was stone cold. The cuban was great until I got to the second half of it and hit a piece of bone that was nearly as big as a golf ball! I can't believe nobody saw this when they were making the sandwich and had I broken a tooth they would be getting more than just a bad review! The macaroni salad was not macaroni salad and I know what it is supposed to be. What it was is macaroni with onions and pretty much tasteless. The pork shoulder? Didn't get one! Got charged for it, though. They gave me a styrofoam dinner container with only macaroni in it. I am done with these guys. Never again! read more
