The staff is outstanding, always there to help We stayed 3 nights, would have stayed 4, but our first time there they were fully booked for the next night. On our return trip we made sure we booked the 2 nights ahead of time. We had started our trip in Budapest where our Viking river cruise began. It was our first time on such a fancy trip. We are Pilgrims at heart, which is why we extended our trip for 3 more weeks. We ended in Amsterdam but took a train to Lourdes, then Bayonne, we were looking to hike an obscure Camino route " Camino del Batzon". It went from Bayonne to Pamplona. After our first day we found how obscure it was, Almost all the hotels had shut down due to lack of pilgrims. Time for plan B, we decided to go directly to Pamplona. We backtracked to Bayonne, then a bus to Pamplona, where our first stay was at this hotel. What a great city and made better by our hosts, so we hiked from Pamplona to Longrona and back. This was our shortest Camino, but I can now say I've been on all 5 of the major ones. Three complete from 2015, over 850 kilometers and 4 credentials We have stayed in Alburques on every Camino, so don't think this is an "Alburque", it's a nice place to re center. So thank you Hotel Campanilla for making everything easy and welcoming of Pilgrims. Buen Camino.

The service was exemplary and the chef (trained in San Sebastián) came over to check on our meal. The tomato salad (homegrown) were amazing. We shared the cod dish and steak with peppers and fries. Both were perfect for 4 people to share over lunch. We ended with the recommended desserts. Amazing. I highly recommend making the detour if you find yourself close to Medinaceli!!!!

All we could say was "Wow!"...every dish that came out was amazing (fried asparagus, a veggie plate, tuna, and the toblerone dessert). It was also pretty exciting to not know what else was coming until the food came out to our table. We've been in Spain for 10 days and this has been our favorite dining experience so far!

La Parrilla served our needs! They had a good selection of black, green, and red teas as well as infusions and also served beer and plenty of other much desired drinks. We warmed up in the bar section until they opened the restaurant part. A few of us decided to order a "chuleton de buey". 1100 grams of mouthwatering meat served on a hot block of Himalayan salt or something. We cut of slices of meat and roasted these on this hot "stove" until ready according to personal preference. The corn was fresh and tasty and the grilled asparagus also quickly disappeared into our stomachs. The wine selection was good and we were happy with the restaurant's recommendation... :) While having dinner they charged the battery of my phone for me.
