Overall a quality spot, especially for Boston! I can't comment on the crispness of the tacos since I got them to-go, but a hefty serving of consome came on the side which is always appreciated. The tacos were loaded with meat that was extremely tasty. The corn was overcooked and soggy, but had flavor on top. My order was ready within 10-15 min and pickup was easy. Overall, Would go again. maybe dine in next time.

I still love rincon, but looking at the prices and visiting some other spots around town, $5 for an al pastor taco is high. The food is good, but not sure if it's worth the price with so many other Mexican spots around. Seems like the prices and the amount of food do make the most sense.

The best Mexican place on Broadway. The food and drinks are amazing. The staff are super friendly and the service is great.

One never understands how spoiled they are until they are removed from the source that enables it. Good and authentic Mexican cuisine is about everywhere in California and any state close to the border. So readily available from pop-up street stands to just about every hole in the wall that you just never even think about it...until you move away from it. It's been a repeated letdown since I got here a year ago with just about everywhere missing the point of how great Mexican cuisine actually is. Here, this little spot spoke to me with one staple dish that I religiously consumed in California almost *every* Sunday afternoon. It's something I've always loved and the way my energy levels significantly elevate after a hearty bowl further drove the cravings. So yesterday, after not having menudo since my move to Massachusetts last year, I finally searched for the first legit place open for Sunday lunch and found Rincon Mexicano. I read a little bit on the background of the business and felt convinced of their authenticity. As always, a good practice back in California is to *CALL* first to make sure they are not sold out before showing up. So I called and was glad to hear that they still had good amounts of it (and found out later they served it ALL day, everyday - epic WIN). While a little different from the spots I frequented in California, their flavors were still spot on with the few dishes I've tried so far. All I can say is that their menudo is reason enough for me to come back every week and I'd recommend them to anyone who asks me about Mexican cuisine in the area. Thank you all for the great food and fantastic service!

I was super excited to try Rincón because I've been on a journey of finding the best Birria Tacos in Boston. I've gone to Jalisco and Orale already so Rincón was on my list! The service and workers were all super sweet and nice so I'm super sad I didn't enjoy my food after seeing the raved reviews :( Quesabirria: 3.8/5 The birria was stuffed and crispy, but I think overall it needed more flavor and salt. The meat and cheese was there, but if there was more salt in the consome and meat it be perfect no doubt. Everything was very subtle and I didn't get that boom of flavor from the consome or meat Al Pastor & Chicken Tacos: 2.5/5 I'm not sure what was different when I went, but the flavor was bit underwhelming. The Al pastor was for sure better than the chicken, but the chicken was a bit bland and I had to use the sauces to help me get through. My experience was a bit disappointing because I was really excited, but everything I got wasn't flavorful. Im going to try again though and give them another shot because they were super sweet

Let me put u on the most lit Mexican restaurant in somerville right now. The tacos, of course, incredible. The meat was tender and juicy. I liked the ample amount of toppings. Their salsa was fire. Their chips were so good (i got a refill on them). The horchata was amazing, and not overly sweet, with a perfect amount of cinnamon. It's family owned (i think.) and everyone was so sweet and attentive. They had a LIVE MARIACHI BAND and they even allowed us to request a song. It was the most fun dinner I've ever had on a Tuesday night!

Really fantastic authentic Mexican food here! This part of Somerville has some amazing food, and Rincon Mexicano is one of the best I've tried in the area. Ambiance is nice and casual and the service is very fast. Chips and salsa for the table right away and lots of sauces that they bring that you can try. Birria tacos - can't go wrong. Savory, fatty, dripping with flavor. Love dipping these in the stew. Fantastic dish. Baja shrimp tacos - super good. Bursting with flavor, both filling and refreshing. Can't wait to come back here and try some of the other dishes like the wet burritos. There are alcoholic drinks for purchase as well and a cool looking bar.

Classic Mexican food done right! I'm from California and it's been hard to find a solid place for Mexican in Boston but Rincon does it right! A casual restaurant with a few tables inside and outside. They sell alcoholic drinks if you are looking for a nice cold one with your tacos. The complimentary chips and salsa are good. The chips come warm and have good flavor. I've been here a few times and got the Birria tacos and Baja shrimp tacos. Both are delicious with so much flavor. Special tip- Ask for the special green and orange salsas they keep cold!

I came here for lunch on a Sunday and there was no wait. The staff was attentive and checked in on us frequently to make sure everything was okay. The food came out within 10 minutes and was fresh and hot. The quesabirria tacos were yummy! Some of the better ones I've had around the Boston area. The soup was delicious and the dish came with a sauce that was a bit spicy and tangy. My friend got a variety of tacos (lingua, fish, al pastor) and she said the lingua was the best and wouldn't recommend the fish (it's just a fish stick). They had a soccer game playing in the background and could be noisy if they were blending something up. It's a very casual place. Street parking on either side of the road

Good tacos for the area. I came from travel from Texas and they had excellent tacos out there so I feel like nothing here can compare. For the Boston area, this is the best I've had though but again, far from the great tacos you can get down south. We got horchata for drinks. Not too sweet. We all got a bunch and variety of tacos. The issue we came across that was frustrating is the friend that ordered their tacos without cilantro had the tacos came with...you guessed it...cilantro. And some of our tacos were missing cilantro. Besides the cilantro mix up, the tacos were okay. I got the quesobirria, which does not come with the dipping sauce like they do in Texas. I was low-key disappointed. Then I got a tripa taco, lengua taco, and al pastor taco. They are all double tortilla. The waitress also brought out a green and red sauce for the tacos. Overall, again, these tacos weren't as exciting for me because I recently came from great tacos down south but I will probably love this place if Texas didn't ruin all other tacos for me.

Updated review I just had the quesobirria tacos. I have nothing to compare them to since I've never had them before, but either these are just mediocre or the IG hype is wayyyyyy overrating this meal. The consume was packaged in a paper container, it bled through and spilled over the other food. It was also not super flavorful. Overall quesobirria was just meh for me. I probably won't order it again. I'll stick with the carnitas tacos.

Service was excellent. Everything arrived to the table hot and delicious. Complementary chips and salsa too.

I ordered the carnitas burrito bowl. The meat was rancid. The rice was over done and dry. Taste your meat before you use it.

Among the best Mexican in Boston area. If you live around here you know most of the options are abysmal, but Rincón is wonderful.

Been wanting to give this place a try for a month after seeing gorgeous pictures of their pastries…read moreon instagram lately. I stopped by on a Sunday early morning right after they had opened and tried several items on display including a plain croissant, a pear danish, blueberry danish, and a valentine raspberry special bowtie. While the pastries looked pretty for instagram, they all needed a LOT more work. Everything here left me sad. There were no flakes, no crumble, and no crisp to the pastries (just soft, limp, sadness). The danishes here are also not cheap, with the blueberry danish being $8. According to the staff, all the danishes had come out fresh out of the oven JUST 30 minutes ago. Can only imagine how much more disappointing the pastries would've been for the people that came in after me. Save yourself a trip here and go to Michette, Lakon, Colette, Cremux Patisserie, SALT, or Little L instead if you're looking for a solid danish or croissant. Will not be back.

Just made my first visit and I'm wondering why I've never visited before; this place is wonderful,…read moreand for several reasons: - It's a rare city place with a parking lot - Even the street parking is easy - Plenty of seating, soft French music - Friendly staff - First croissant was warm! - Fresh stuff - Extensive selection without having so many that it's overkill - Some nice innovation but not cheap gimmickry aimed at the Instagram set Almond Croissant: Gigantic, still warm, very crusty, very flaky, and a near-liquid almond filling that was in the mild side but naturally sweet rather than pumped up with additives. Good crunch to the bite, sending flaky shrapnel everywhere, but yielding to the tender center. Somewhat buttery. Chocolate croissant: Not as gigantic, but a steal at under $5. Not warm but very fresh, very flaky and delicate, cracking more intensely in the bite with even more shrapnel. Underneath, a very light and fluffy feel, along with a very buttery taste. Not greasy at all; just great flavor, and that's not even counting the dark chocolate, which was understated but effective. Pain au Raisin: Again flaky, but a bit (only a bit) on the dry side, even with the noticeably custardy notes. Good flavor to the dough. Minimal glaze if any. A rung or two lower on the impressiveness scale than the almond and chocolate croissants, but still solid. Blueberry Danish: Nice pastry, many layers, light, crisp and delicate, while still being soft and buttery. Good flavor to the dough and faintly glazed. Surprisingly, the crispness lasted well into the early evening, when tried as a take-home item. Lots of blueberries, fresh and not too fussed with, along with a bit of blueberry compote. No gimmicks, no bombast, just good stuff. Looking forward to a quick return. On my mental shopping list to encompass a few visits: chocolate almond croissant, chocolate chip cookie dough croissant (aka "cookie" and the only gimmicky item I saw), apricot danish, pear danish, pain suisse, and babka.

The interior is spacious and the service was great. I fell in love with the chopped not-liver ($13), which is a delicious eggplant spread that doesn't taste like eggplant but has a great savory flavor with a slight wine aroma. The pita bread that came with it was so warm, pillowy, and chewy. This dish was just perfection. There's an eggplant dip (Oren's eggplant) in the Bay that I have been craving, and now I have something in Cambridge that is just as good if not better. The haus smoked whitefish ($12) was also quite good. It had a lot of fish but wasn't too fishy, had good flavor and came with crunchy crackers. The fish and chips ($24) was tasty as well -- the chips are really crunchy and the fish was flaky and crunchy, and the sauce was interesting and spicy. Lastly, we got the halva ice cream sundae ($12), which was pretty decent with a lot of crunchy bits. I'm not a big fan of nutty flavors or milky ice cream, so I'm not sure if I'd get it again. There is a 20% gratuity automatically applied (we had 2 people, so I don't think it's due to party size). Service was great -- people kept checking on us and refilling our water. In conclusion, the eggplant chopped not-liver was amazing and it's everything I've been looking for. I'm excited to try more of their offerings.

There's not much by way of seating at this location so it's more for pickup, but there is a bar at the front of the store where you can sit for a few minutes to enjoy a treat. My husband and I got a latte and a cappuccino, and a pistachio cannoli to split. Both drinks were perfect, hot but not scalded, with robust espresso flavor. The cannoli, as expected, was fantastic. Yes, it's big. Yes, the toppings are only on the ends (but you can eat it strategically to make the toppings last through most of the experience). Maybe I have too much of a sweet tooth but unlike a lot of reviewers I did not find it to be TOO sweet, just the right amount paired with a bitter coffee beverage and split between two people. I've never had a cannoli for breakfast before, but darn if it wasn't a highlight of the trip.
