Love the section near the front door which features paperback/hard cover books and audiobooks for sale, most of them less than 2 bucks! Bought Patricia Cromwell and Amy Tan novels and discovered an excellent copy of the Day of the Trifids audiobook. My father-in-law also bought some books of his favorite authors. The place is nice and cool in the summer (the central a/c was heavenly) and they have a roaring fire in the gas fireplace in the winter. They also have a bank of computers for internet surfing and an adorable kids library. This is easily my favorite place in Show Low!

I'm sure there are many things I don't know about but this is a staff friendly place to enjoy some quiet time at a library. The on-line system is very easy to use when reserving books.

Super friendly staff, fast wifi, lots of books, DVD, VHS for borrowing. There are kids reading groups, lockable charging station for iPhones and androids, and a computer lab. Everything you can ask for in a library!

We are full time travelers so we visit libraries in different places. Payson Library is very…read morepretty, has lots of books, and a nice bookstore where I bought books for .25. However, I can only give three stars because it's one of the noisiest libraries I've been in. The librarians hold conversations (not just about books) with patrons at full volume. Constantly. And patrons seem to take the cue as well--loud talking and laughing. We're grateful for the library but would have appreciated more quiet.

I was trying to finish up an online class. Bring your headphone/ ear buds if you need to use the computers sound. I had a nice shared table area to have out notes, paper and all I needed to get my course done. They have a nice aquarium but the fish are super skittish when anybody walks by then they barely come peeping out. Some odd type yellow fish are in there. But it's still pretty and I've never seen any other library w a fish tank!

The library still has its regular programming for the year round residents. There are two study rooms one can use for free for a two hour period. We recently had May the Fourth be with You (5/4) with Star Wars characters. That was a big hit. Come visit our cool surroundings. Covered and open parking with free WiFi.

My 4th grader loves coming and hanging out in the castle playing with the LEGO tables and other stem toys. Very inviting and just outside is the splash pad and park. The adults section is huge with lots of seating, tables, and comfortable chairs to read on. They have a large 2 room Book Sale section where you can find books, magazines, puzzles and dvds for $1-$3. My favorite library in Arizona. Also there's a full service cafe inside the library. I ordered a coffee today. Very convenient!

I was in the Scottsdale area and…read moredecided to stop by Scottsdale Civic Center Library to get some work done, and I will definitely be back. One of the first things I noticed was how spacious the library feels. Everything looked clean and well maintained, which made it a really comfortable place to settle in and focus. There was actually already a line of people waiting outside for the library to open at 1 PM on Sunday, which says a lot about how popular it is. One feature I thought was especially cool is their seed library, where you can pick up seeds to plant your own plants at home. They also offer the usual cultural passes, which is always a great perk with a library card. Speaking of that, I really liked how unique their library card designs are. I was able to sign up for a card today thanks to a very helpful staff member who made the process quick and easy. Inside, there were plenty of tables and outlets almost everywhere, which made it perfect for getting work done. There is also a free charging center where you can charge devices. Parking was also simple. I parked at the Scottsdale Civic Center Garage, which made access really convenient. Overall, I was very happy with my visit today and will definitely be coming back.
