But the population swells in the summer with tourists. Show Low lies on the Mogollon Rim on the eastern side of central Arizona. It is at an elevation of 6,345 feet so a place for those living in the Phoenix area to escape the heat. It's a small enough to get around easy and, yet, large enough to have a variety of restaurants and shops. There are many lakes and creeks for outdoor activities. Show Low is a fun place to visit. I check out bookstores in every single city I visit and I'm so sad I've never even looked beyond Pinetop. The selection of books is mind-blowing. Room, after room, after room of genres that are endless. Books for everyone, not just selective books. Like some stores try to do. I could have spent HOURS in this place. The selection of vintage books is also to die for. My husband found alot too. I couldn't believe the prices either. Books that should be $10 plus marked down to $3 and the staff was so cute. They gave me stickers and a cute pin! We ended up spending less than $50 on not only brand new books but yeah the vintage ones too that were easily $50 at any other store. I can't wait to come to back! Next time we stop in my husband is in for a long visit! :D
