Attendants would come into my home and pull out their cell phones and play games instead of having any eye to eye contact or any communitcation with me as their client.

I'm a pharmacist I know).They don't bathe her like they should or make her brush her teeth and keep giving her sugar and crap instead of nutritious meals.Wonder why she eats like a horse when I go to visit her.Quit sitting on your asses and do your job or find another.What the hell is this company hiring? Training..... appears non-existent.This is Synergy Wisconsin to be clear Waushara county.Its bad when you know the other caretakers are commenting on the shitty ones your parent is paired with.Get it together or get a lawsuit.Certain caretakers should be paid less,Than the superior ones.Do your job ! Also note that it's very difficult to get them to return your call. Families, Don't EVEN consider them if you are considering a "provider" for your love one. Caregivers, they only want to pay you $8 per hours and no mileage. Your services are more VALUABLE than $8/hour. Go somewhere else.

I was never informed about some of these "safety" issues that are easily fixable. These issues were never brought up when an LVN accessed our house and my husbands needs. He is a quadriplegic who needs a breather to live. The job is difficult and I believe these fixable "safety" issues were a smokescreen for the real reason the company wanted to terminate. Disappointed that the issues were not presented to us in writing with a timeframe to complete the changes. I would not recommend this company because they are not willing to work with clients to correct fixable problems.

The Village at Incarnate Word is a Senior Living Community located next door to UIW, but not part of UIW. The Village offers independent living, two levels of assisted living, licensed by the state of Texas, a memory care area, also state licensed and a 60 bed nursing care area, also licensed by Texas. The Village at Incarnate Word offers apartment style living options in all areas except the nursing care, which is mostly private rooms with baths, although there are a few double rooms available. A wide variety of activities are available for all residents, including concerts, plays, sporting events and the opportunity to audit classes at UIW. The staff are dedicated and the residents are friendly. My mom was in the nursing area for two years and received very good care. I would not hesitate to recommend The Village at Incarnate Word for retirement living.
