I rated it a 3 star due to the absurd charge they will put on your credit card if you charge and the fact I wasn't told that upon my initial quote. It would have added another $75 just to have the privilege of charging on my CC. So I said I would use my debit card instead, she said the same charge applies. I thought that was odd so so I looked it up after the fact and found that most credit card companies prohibit merchants from surcharging debit card transactions. So had I known that I would have probably left. My opinion is most of your customers are probably going to charge given the cost and that's just a part of doing business and not pawn off your surcharge fees to your customers. I previously owned a business so I know the process and didn't charge it to my customers. I left after dropping it off to get cash so my wife picked me up since they said it would 3 or more hours to complete. The cost to do a full ceramic UV film on my GMC Truck was rather high in my opinion at $710 but I chose to pay it anyway so the bad is on me if I didn't want the job done. This wasn't my original quote because I had them add the clear UV film to the passenger and rear windows since the factory tint has zero UV heat protection according to what they told me. Overall the job was done well! But the extreme additional costs at the end of the job that made me leave to get cash made the whole experience less than satisfactory. I will continue to watch the UV film clear up in some spots as they said and will update the review if I have problems.

I used Advanced Window Tinting to remove and replace tint on my back glass and would not recommend…read morethem at all. I had tried to remove it myself and was able to remove the front windows, but encountered a lot of issues with the back glass and needed professional help. When calling to schedule with AWT, I explained what I needed and the condition of my car. I was told $250 and it wouldn't be a problem. I explicitly said that it was bad and came off in strips and that it would be some work. When I dropped my car off, the person working on my car came back out from the shop after looking at it and threw what I can only describe as a fit just short of tears. He flopped on his chair like my 6 year old on a bad day and exclaimed that the window 'needs to be bladed'. I told him and the receptionist that I clearly described the condition of my car and that it wouldn't be a problem, so I can take it elsewhere if needed. They both said no it wouldn't be an issue. However cost is now $275 +2.5% for credit card use. Lastly, I was told I could pick up my car the following day and they open at 8am. I had some commitments the next morning and AWT is scheduled to close at noon the next day. I called at 11 to see if it was still ok to get the car. The person who answered told me quote 'I am trying to get out of here and honestly I was about to close now.' I asked for 30 minutes to come get my car and then showed up in 20. When I got there, I was told I was 'lucky' that he stayed and that his wife was calling him about coming home. The quality of the tint is ok. Anyone can do this and there are tons of tint shops here in Jax. Skip this one unless you want to be frustrated with some extremely poor customer service. They didn't seem to be interested in working hard for me or accommodating me within business hours. Update: The owner reached out unprompted and initially offered a full refund in exchange for this review being removed. He asked that I meet up with him in person for cash, when I declined he pulled back his offer stating that I was rude to his staff and 'to do what I needed to do'. Screenshots of our conversation are attached. I never asked for a refund so to get the offer and then have it pulled back is pretty wild.

Tint World, Baymeadows, has been the single most frustrating, disappointing, and downright unprofessional business I've ever dealt with. We've been incredibly patient--too patient, honestly--giving them chance after chance to prove they're even remotely competent. Instead, they've wasted months of our time with endless delays, broken promises, and absolute radio silence when it comes to basic communication. We've been to Tint World multiple times to get a custom system specced out. We even went out of our way to drop off the car for hours so they could assess everything and come up with a plan. Each time, we were assured that they'd get back to us soon. And each time? Nothing. No follow-up, no updates, no phone calls--just an endless cycle of us having to chase them down like a collection agency. It's embarrassing. Vinnie, the guy we dealt with, is super nice, but let's be real--nice doesn't get the job done. He never calls back. Ever. It's like once you walk out of the shop, you become a ghost to them. How hard is it to pick up a phone and follow through? Apparently, impossible. At this point, it's obvious Tint World just doesn't care. They've wasted our time for months, stringing us along like we don't have anything better to do. If this is how they treat paying customers, I can only imagine how they handle actual installs.
