The job was done well with the exception of a few bubble spots they said should disappear, if not bring it back in. I rated it a 3 star due to the absurd charge they will put on your credit card if you charge and the fact I wasn't told that upon my initial quote. It would have added another $75 just to have the privilege of charging on my CC. So I said I would use my debit card instead, she said the same charge applies. I thought that was odd so so I looked it up after the fact and found that most credit card companies prohibit merchants from surcharging debit card transactions. So had I known that I would have probably left. My opinion is most of your customers are probably going to charge given the cost and that's just a part of doing business and not pawn off your surcharge fees to your customers. I previously owned a business so I know the process and didn't charge it to my customers. I left after dropping it off to get cash so my wife picked me up since they said it would 3 or more hours to complete. The cost to do a full ceramic UV film on my GMC Truck was rather high in my opinion at $710 but I chose to pay it anyway so the bad is on me if I didn't want the job done. This wasn't my original quote because I had them add the clear UV film to the passenger and rear windows since the factory tint has zero UV heat protection according to what they told me. Overall the job was done well! But the extreme additional costs at the end of the job that made me leave to get cash made the whole experience less than satisfactory. I will continue to watch the UV film clear up in some spots as they said and will update the review if I have problems. read more

I bought a new car in December and my dealer had always had windows tinted but this time said they didn't do it but recommended Solar Shade. I called them and was able to get an appointment for a Saturday two weeks later. They sent me an email with pricing and explaining the different options. They said I could choose my tint shade when I got there. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk helped me figure out what would be best for me and let me know it would be about 4 hours. So my Dad was nice enough to pick me up and spend the day with me. I got a call at about 1:30 and was told the car would be ready in about a half hour, apologized for the delay and I was shocked! It was not overdue, it was right and time and they were keeping in communication! It was great! When I got there, my car looked great! Kind of like an orca, black and white the way I like it! They even added (yes for a nominal cost) the front windshield visor. I wasn't sure how I felt but it has been great! They said to leave the windows up for a few days but I actually scheduled it the day before leaving town for 3 weeks so it got to sit and just cure! When I got back, it looked great! When I called I was attended very quickly and when I had to reschedule my appointment it was very easy. I called 3 other places before them and they were the 2nd cheapest but the BEST quality. My car tints look so good & it even comes with a warranty to replacement tints. It took 2.5ish hours for my sedan to get done. I received a text & phone call when my car was ready for pick up. Took my car here to get some window tint replaced after the original tint started bubbling. It was easy to make an appointment by calling in. I know next to nothing about window tint, so I appreciated the woman at the front explaining the options. I was surprised that it was only $75 per window, including a lifetime guarantee if it were to bubble or have some other issue. The work was done within a couple hours, and looked great. Second review because I got a new car. Solar Shade is still pretty good. Everything has mostly stayed the same minus a new lobby area. If you are coming to wait in the lobby bring a sweatshirt or pants. Their AC is strong! I got a Lumar Pinnacle tint again on my new car. This time I went as dark as legal on my car as possible. I think it will make a big difference for the inside temperature. One minus is other dealers offer a free reinstall on your window if the glass breaks. This can be a huge benefit. Solar Shade said they do not offer this as it is up to the shop. I did more shopping around this time but prices were better here than in other places in Florida or North Carolina. You have to wait a couple of days/weeks to ultimately see how the tint job went. So far so good though. read more

John and I just bought a new SUV and the front windows were not tinted, even though the rest of the car was- my OCD was making me twitch. Why?!? Apparently some states don't allow tint on the driver and passenger front windows, so car manufacturers are making the cars with no tint.... regardless of where the car is going. PFT~ what a great way to make new car owners spend more money. We had the car a little more than 2 weeks and believe me- you can tell a difference without the tint on those front windows. Solar Shade was recommended by a friend that used solar shade in the past on multiple occasions and knows the owner. I know how picky my friend is so a couple of weeks ago went to Solar Shade and had my new car's windows tinted. The staff is great, Becca at the front desk was very helpful in helping me decide which percentage of shading, the techs were awesome and did a meticulous job. The tech that brought my car around explained what to expect in the curing process. I have had other cars windows tinted in the past so I had a good idea of what to expect but the tech explained even more about what to expect with the process. Before I left, Becca examined the job as well to ensure no flaws which is good business- address any issues before the customer leaves. It's been a few weeks and all the streaks and bubbles disappeared just as they said would happen after the water evaporates and cures. This was my first window tinting experience. But Andrew made it stress free. I recently bought a 2017 Rogue which had all the windows tinted except the front two. I found a great deal on Groupon and all the reviews were five stars so I purchased the service. I called the next day to schedule an appointment and was pleasantly surprised they could get me in the following day which was a Saturday. I walked into the waiting area and Andrew showed me the various tints available. I told him that I wanted to make sure it was light enough that I could see well in the dark and the rain. So he suggested the tint and I agreed based on his suggestion as he's the expert. There was bottled water in the fridge if I wanted any and a TV in the waiting room. The job was completed in less than 30 minutes and I was on my way to finish up my Saturday errands. It looks great and I'm very pleased! We had an appt for 8am today which we confirmed by email. We showed up a little before and see that the sign on the door says they open at 9. There is no drop box for keys so we wait and wait and at 8:30 no one has shown up... so we leave... but while we waited we read some of the negative reviews and online and I can see now why they're there. Kind of unprofessional to make an appt for a time they aren't even open. It's now almost 10 and no one even called us to ask us about our appt or to ask why we weren't there at 9? We found another place that has excellent reviews and absolutely no complaints so we are moving on but just want to say we are disappointed and annoyed to have wasted our time. read more

This place did a good job!! My tint looks great. I do have a couple small air bubbles on the bottom but hoping those go away within the next few days. This place is pretty quick and easy to schedule. My only complaint is that they are messy durning the application process. They left quite a bit of plastic wrap on the floors of my car. Along with streaks running down the inside of the door. The tint had streaks on it too that I had to wipe off so I could see out the window. I think if they could've cleaned the windows after and wiped a few surfaces down I would've gave it 5 stars!! read more

Have the tint liquid stains on All four doors on my less than 7 month old truck. No one sits in the back which was pristine... not anymore. Front strip looked rushed and before we left husband simply asked a question about bubbles on drive side window to which young lady went to tinter and was told to just bring the truck back inside. He proceeded to snatch off the window film then do it all over without saying anything to us until he was done. He stated that inside there's things you can't see... if that's the case why not take it outside before returning to customer? Not happy will go somewhere else to have front strip done again and it took a bit of elbow grease to clean my doors which I've never had to do with any other tinting facility before. read more

Horrible - has been my experience. While getting quotes to fix their craft (they ceramic coated water spots into my sedan). Like into 80% of my vehicle to include the PPF Paint Protection Film that now is ruined. A certified detailer try to salvage my PPF with Negative results. The best part of my experience is they will not return my calls to fix it ! My first quote to fix This mess and have it done right is $5,050. This nightmare has gone on for 3 years. At one point I thought they went out of business because they would not return my calls to make apt. After 8 months I passed by their establishment and they were open. They had the nerve to blame me for not brining my car in for their "Maintenance Wash" (I live in another county). Oh, the maintenance wash. This is a wash they charge for to "inspect" the vehicle to keep the warranty. My last go round they had my car for 2 days and did not even wash it. Had to bring it back and basically it was a mess of smears and marks like it was washed with a dirty rag. When I questioned it and the manager confided with the washer (I would not call them detailers) the consensus was that the ceramic coating failed(does not explain the dirty rag washing?). That's what the "maintenance wash" is for. For a subject expert to inspect my car and let me know if the ceramic coating was failing. Not my questioning the horrible wash to get to this conclusion. Had my vehicle for more 2 days. To their credit I drop my vehicle off at end of business & pick it up when it is done. Because this "maintenance wash" takes them up to 3-4 hours when you wait on it with an appointment (most times this happens) The "maintenance wash" is nothing more than spray foam on, rinse it off, dry it. I have felt horrible about my purchase every time I deal with them. Heard of others when shopping to repair this mess. I needed the back windshield re tinted since it was bubbling and you could barely see out of it. I called and asked if they could fit me in the next day and he said to just come when they open. I got there at 9 am and hung out in the lobby while my car got worked on. Nice that they have a tv with Netflix set up for people waiting.
