I used Advanced Window Tinting to remove and replace tint on my back glass and would not recommend them at all. I had tried to remove it myself and was able to remove the front windows, but encountered a lot of issues with the back glass and needed professional help. When calling to schedule with AWT, I explained what I needed and the condition of my car. I was told $250 and it wouldn't be a problem. I explicitly said that it was bad and came off in strips and that it would be some work. When I dropped my car off, the person working on my car came back out from the shop after looking at it and threw what I can only describe as a fit just short of tears. He flopped on his chair like my 6 year old on a bad day and exclaimed that the window 'needs to be bladed'. I told him and the receptionist that I clearly described the condition of my car and that it wouldn't be a problem, so I can take it elsewhere if needed. They both said no it wouldn't be an issue. However cost is now $275 +2.5% for credit card use. Lastly, I was told I could pick up my car the following day and they open at 8am. I had some commitments the next morning and AWT is scheduled to close at noon the next day. I called at 11 to see if it was still ok to get the car. The person who answered told me quote 'I am trying to get out of here and honestly I was about to close now.' I asked for 30 minutes to come get my car and then showed up in 20. When I got there, I was told I was 'lucky' that he stayed and that his wife was calling him about coming home. The quality of the tint is ok. Anyone can do this and there are tons of tint shops here in Jax. Skip this one unless you want to be frustrated with some extremely poor customer service. They didn't seem to be interested in working hard for me or accommodating me within business hours. Update: The owner reached out unprompted and initially offered a full refund in exchange for this review being removed. He asked that I meet up with him in person for cash, when I declined he pulled back his offer stating that I was rude to his staff and 'to do what I needed to do'. Advanced Window Tinting did a wonderful job tinting my wife's car. It definitely helped with the Summer heat. They use a 3M tint which blocks harmful ultraviolet rays with a lifetime warranty. I paid $195 plus tax to get the whole car tinted with an additional $30 for a windshield strip. In my opinion, $20 for the windshield strip would have been fair. Nice and friendly service. Their facility has a comfortable lounge area with big screen television and they also offer self-serve Keurig coffee while you wait. They didn't take long to finish the job. Having no tint make you seem naked and everyone can see your business. Now, we can sing, dance, goof-around, pick our noses and teeth, whatever, but with a little privacy. After checking in, the associate walked me through the various tint options available. They also have a comfy waiting area with coffee, wifi, couches and a TV so I was able to work remotely for a bit. However, my wait time wasn't long at all. My car was ready within the expected time frame (30-45 minutes). I was done before I had to log into work for the morning. I had 2 cars tinted with them, a Porsche and an Audi the total was more than 500 USD and the job they did was horrible: -1st the Porsche rear windscreen was tinted incorrectly and the car looked horribly the owner agreed to fixt it by applying the correct film but the film is now bubbling on side glass and rear windshield. -2nd the installer did not use a clean method to install the tint in the Porsche you can see all sorts of fibers between the windshield glass and the tint film. -3rd the Porsche rear the receptionist which was a female had a very bad attitude when explained what happened. Horrible quality and very overpriced for what you get. Stay away! I want my money back!!! read more

I recently got my car windows tinted at Advanced Window Tinting. I got the Crystalline on my windshield and Color Stable on all my doors. The service was very fast, only took about and hour and a half for application. Unfortunately, the week after my Initial instillation when I was cleaning the windows, I noticed a few problems with the application of the Color Stable tint. However, I called their office and spoke to Rene who was very kind and apologetic and assured me they would make things right. Rene let me choose when to come back at my own convenience to have all the tint replaced free of charge. Had 3M Ceramic placed on the car, got me in at the last minute. Car was done front to back in just a few hours. Had some bubbles, but they were taken care of without hesitation. Minimal contamination under the film which is great given my other car was butchered at another shop that left tons of dirt and dust under the film. Lady at the front desk was very knowledgeable and courteous. Bummed about the drip stains down the doors since the interior surfaces were just detailed, but not a big deal. Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Value Won't recommend this place to anyone!!! The receptionist/owner's wife has gotta go! She is very rude and dumb especially when it comes down for the time to claim their "life time warranty", she'll act like she's giving you a huge favor/charity replacing what shouldn't be questioned and done to begin with! They have customers' records however if u lose their original receipt or paper simply don't go back don't waste your time! She won't bother to look you up, would act like there's absolutely no way they could recover your previous service. Also, before you tint back window/door and you have a defroster ask them If warranty covers any damage to you defroster element after! In case you have to come back and fix possible bubbling or whatever the case might be! I have done tinting there and in few years it bubbled so I came back! However, lost an original receipt therefore had to pay for the replacement because they made a huge deal about itOn top of that when they tried to remove the my old tint WHICH WAS INSTALLED AT THEIR OWN PLACE it baked-in so hard they couldn't do it without removing the defrosting elements! So they f--ed it up soooo badly to the point you couldn't take it back without replacing the old tint which meant SCRAPING defrosting wires.... and guess what⁉ I had to agree to remove it! Couldn't drive with patchy and all F$&@ed up half scraped rear window! So I agreed to replaced the rear tint and left! Stay away from this place customer service is sh$t‼ They act nice to take your money that's why they even have positive reviews!!!! Wait till you have to come back to fix/replace something!!!
