So do not buy anything you are not absolutely sure that you have to have. And the employees don't know what you need.

I couldn't even name the tool I needed for my drill to restore a beautiful flea-market bowl, but he stayed with me, listened to my project, and helped me find exactly what I needed. I'm so grateful for the 15 minutes he spent guiding me through. Then, in the paint department, another gentleman was just as fantastic--he quickly got me the paint samples I needed in no time. Thanks to them, I was on my way home to craft and restore my bowl! I truly appreciate their attentive, knowledgeable service. Five stars for making my hobby projects a success!

Unlike Lowe's or Home Depot, this is a full-service hardware: customers walk up to the counter to ask for the items they need. The customer service representatives will ask questions about the job to ensure you're buying the right tools for the job, and then you follow them through the store as they pick up the items, checking to make sure you're getting the right thing. I've never had to return anything. They also have a full range of services: knife sharpening, key copies, propane exchange, carpet cleaner rental, and ice. I do wish they could extend their Saturday hours and allow their employees Sunday and Monday off...that would mean a lot to those of us who work 8-5 M-F. Also, I know the first reviewer. He has some issues.

Overall, I have consistently found the Home Depot in Conway, AR to have friendlier and more helpful…read moreemployees than Lowes. Over the 20 + years, of course there has been the occasional grump that doesn't want to work, but it's rare. Home Depot's prices are on par with Lowe's as is the quality. I like the brands Home Depot carries.
