    Great neighborhood store
    Eric S.

Alyssa was one of the most friendly cashiers I have ever encountered. Don't get me wrong, I usually have great service at this Ridley market in Kuna, but this young woman is so personable and caring. She engages in appropriate small chat and with a smile at the same time. And she is able to do that all while continuing to assist the guests with checking out, bagging grocer and handwringing payments. I will look for her lane the next time I'm shopping there. Kudos to the management for snagging this employee

Ridley's is conveniently located in Kuna and it is a super nice store. I really appreciate having this store so close to my house. They have a great lounge upstairs above the produce area with chairs and a nice big screen. A Starbucks is also conveniently located in the store (wish they had a drive through). They always have great meat specials and due to their pricing of their overall store, I generally shop the sales only which is a bummer. They have a great deli area with a great selection of Boar's Head products. A couple things to improve to get the 5 stars. I would love to see their produce quality improve and produce price be more reasonable and friendlier staff.

This place doesn't believe in hot coffee. So if you want coffee that's hot, you won't get it here, because not hot.

It's nice to have a grocery store close by but my biggest complaint is that the prices here are a bit steep.

It still feels like a small town grocery store, even though Kuna is not that small anymore.

Natural Grocers was the OG. Before Whole Foods, Sprouts, and before the Boise Cooperative, it was Natural Grocers. It's a great story, look it up and read about Margaret and Phillip Islely, their $200 bucks, and their dream. I've visited several times, and while it may still have a following, it gets lost in the ever-expanding sections of your traditional grocers. It wasn't long ago, that you would NOT see vegan cheese in the cheese aisle, or plant-based meats in the meat section, but now they are there, whether it's something you eat or not. The vegetable and fruit section is smaller than the Co-Op at the Village but sometimes it's good to have a second chance. The vitamin section as well as the community hang-out section to the right when you walk in should not be missed. One thing that often gets missed is that some shoppers see these grocers as vegan or vegetarian. While it's true that they stock vegan and vegetarian items, they also have organic meats and meat products. If you're looking for organic, grass-fed meats and such, check out Natural Grocers TIP1: Check out their website as it has a bountiful amount of information about Sustainability, Deals, Recipes, Events, and more. Natural Grocers is located on Milwaukee in Boise, across from the Home Depot, and is open most nights until 8:30 pm excluding Sundays.

I think the time before that was to grab a sandwich from the deli for my husband. Conveniently, my hubby wanted a snack so I stopped in to see what I could grab for him. I saw a gentleman pull some fresh pepperoni pizza out of the brick oven. That was my sign to grab my husband a couple slices, he loves pizza. The gentleman helped a couple guests ahead of me. He greeted me but realized he was out of gloves. So, he went to the back to grab some and the gal who was starting the dough stepped in to help me. She asked if i wanted some pizza and of course I said yes. Looking at the pizza, there was no real rhyme or reason to how they sliced it. All the slices were different in size. Not one is the same. One huge slice, many smaller slices and some slivers. I asked her if 2 smaller slices count as 1. She said yes. I wanted a total of 2 big slices. I was in the middle of asking her and was cut off cause I didn't answer her if I wanted pepperoni or Hawaiian. I was literally trying to talk her that I wanted a total of 4 slices to make 2 big slices and was shut down. I took my 2 small slices and went on my merry way. I honestly didn't even want to take the slices I had. The whole interaction with her was tasteless. Why would I want to bring this to my husband? I have never worked in a Deli type job but I have worked in the food industry. Today's interaction with the gal was such a turn off. Maybe she should stick with making the pizzas instead of helping customers. What a complete waste of time coming in and grabbing 2 uneven slices of pizza. I haven't been in for a long time before this and I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. I'd rather buy a full pizza and have my husband toss the other half of the uneaten pizza than be treated like how I did today.

Looking at this Yelp page I was surprised to see reviews, some not flattering, dating back to the 2010 - 2012 era for the same business name at this location but that one closed, years ago it seems, and this is now new ownership and focus but the same business name. Recalibrating. As it were. My first visit in had me eager to go back again as new place wobbles get worked out and the growing season allows them to bring in more local produce. They have what is available in that now and for the other produce they stock it is all organic so works for me! WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE SERVICE: I'll mention product below, but what stood out for my husband and me on this visit was what nice people work here, how helpful everyone is and how much one feels a good spirit of welcome and care in the space. Delightful. PRODUCTS: Produce, flours and grains from local mill, local honeys (the one we chose from Panoptic Apiary in Middleton is excellent), local poultry and beef in a freezer case, dairy (including raw milk if that's your thing) in a dedicated refrigerator case and another with things like a variety of really good salsas, house made guacamole, jarred sauerkraut and...the list goes on. They had Symms cherries, the first of the season's crop, in the store and they are excellent. I picked up some other produce to round out what I needed at home, most of it not local farm grown at this point in the year but all of it fresh and organic. I'm hopeful they'll be able to expand to bring in some farmers, like those who are at the Boise Farmer's Market, to round out their local produce offerings. Gaston's Bakery bread was on a rack and I learned the baker delivers to them daily. They were giving away flowers from a local grower and said they would have more coming in to sell in the store. The flower farm name was Sunny Stems (Caldwell ID) and on the card that came with the flowers, I loved that the owner, Ineke Severa, identifed herself as "grower & dreamer". HEALTHY AND SWEET TREAT SURPRISE!: There is a 'Smoothie' sign above the check out counter and given I have never learned to appreciate those, I didn't study it but then just as I was leaving I saw the sign alongside for a frozen banana whip sweetened with dates. I am a sucker for dates so I ordered one with optional fresh strawberry topping. It was dee-licious and even in the smallest size (only $4 for 9 oz), it was shareable by two. I would go back just for one of these again. PARKING: Ample amount in private lot. ACCESSIBILITY: There is an spot marked with wheelchair emblem paint in the lot near the door but it is not compliant with state building code or ADA because the striped access aisle is on the wrong side of the vehicle. I pause here for a little venting, I don't know who owns the lot but for Pete's sake, there have been crystal clear guidelines in both the ADA law and code for what will be 36 years next month and how this is gotten wrong is beyond understanding. It makes a big difference to people who use wheelchairs and it is embedded in law and code for a reason. That the city of Boise allows these things to go uncorrected is maddening because it is their job to enforce the Access Building Code, including in parking lots. End of vent. Other than that the inside is fully accessible for floor space and check out counter height. LOO: There is one so you can plan accordingly if you want to order a pot of their French Press coffee that was listed on a board. IN THEIR OWN WORDS AS PS: Owners spend time to write marketing material and mission statements and I think it is important to share them. Here are these owners comments as shared on their site titled: ROOTED IN IDAHO. BUILT FOR YOUR TABLE. "town and Country Market was born from a simple belief: the best ingredients don't come from a warehouse across the country. They come from the farm down the road. We've built relationships with Idaho's finest growers, ranchers, and artisans so that you don't have to wonder where your food comes from. When you shop with us, you're buying from the people who planted it, picked it, and made it with their own hands. That's not a marketing claim. That's just how we do things. From the rolling orchards of the Snake River Plain to the cottage kitchens of the Treasure Valley, every item in our store carries a little piece of Idaho in it. Come on in and taste the difference."
