This mall has a few businesses that are still open, and their movie theater is also open and still busy with their new popular movie showings. One of my favorite stores inside this mall is La Catrina Mexican Shop. They also have a candy store with piñata and other goodies as well as a free play area for toddlers and kiddos with a few mats and a mini slide. Other stores that are still open for business are an event hall, barber shop, two to three food spots in the food court area, a play area for kiddos that you pay for, clothing stores and a few others. The only downside is it appears to get a tad warm but definitely nothing in comparison to the heat outside the few times I've visited, but other than that, it's nice to walk around, get your steps in, shop around etc. A lot of people tend to go here to do a few laps whether it's walking or power walking, and I've also walked around with my stroller. The hallway to the restrooms looks like something from a horror movie, but other than at least the restrooms are functional.Oh and their elevator hasn't been working for a while now. I'm not sure if it's been fixed but just a heads up. So ,I highly recommend parking by the movie theater. read more

First of all, if any directors want to shoot a movie with a nearly abandoned mall as the setting I know a place. I was planning an outing to the Military Museum of Fort Worth so I decided to come check out Ridgmar Mall. I walked all of the first and second floor of this mall on a Wednesday in April of 2026. Sadly, the museum is no longer in Ridgmar, there's a sign posted at their former location. I can tell this was once a thriving mall. I wish that it still was. The food court has 2 restaurants open. I saw 3 or 4 salons and at least 3 clothing boutiques open for business. And thankfully LensCrafters and JCPenney are in here still going strong. If you're looking into driving big rigs they have a school in here. Online shopping- BOO to you! While I was there I saw approximately 14 other people not counting employees. Ridgmar Mall, be the little engine that could. Make a comeback. read more

Great mall even thought the worlds mall scene continues to shrink. They have a ton of stores and so much variety of everything you want. Love the way the maps are set up to help you navigate to all the stores. Let's go shopping read more

I love this Mall. It's always clean and has a good playlist from the 80's and 90's. Jc Penny's and Dillards are the Pioneer's of the mall and remain standing despite their struggles to bring in revenue. The Rave Cinema is still standing too. Seaquest Journey's and Beauty Vite have now closed their doors. Despite all the closings, I see a few stores coming in like, Paisano Furniture, a new Candy Shop will be opening next door, Cookeee Me plans to open. I've seen a new Mexican Restaurant called Las Tres Maria's and another one called La Chalupa. I believe Lori's Bargain Barn is coming back too. Some other things, I love about Ridgemar. I enjoy getting my nails done at Modern Nails. They also have a free Military Museum that's worth the visit. I would definitely recommend Ridgemar. It's nice to take a trip down memory lane and to see new Restaurants and stores opening soon. read more

This is a ghost building. Very few stores remain in this place. It's not very well managed, as you can faintly hear the mall Muzak playing in some areas, being muffled by annoying polka songs from the candy shop nearby. We also saw some older folk coming by, presumably to try and relive old memories of the place when it was thriving. I think this place is a great example of a once important link of the town, now overshadowed by nearby corner stores and abandoned. To the owners: please don't tear this place down. It's part of the place's history. Maybe it'll have a comeback. read more

The best mall in the metroplex! So many options and such great deals! I am very pleased and satisfied. The area is BOUJIE

Half of this mall looks closed down. It is easy to navigate your way through the mall, but it is fairly spread out. They still have plenty of good stores, a play area, and a decently sized food court, but parts of it do look abandoned. Given that many malls are going extinct, it was fine if you like hands-on shopping experiences. It was just "ok" and that's what I can say. Lol read more

Beautiful mall. The ceilings look like clouds, the stairs and overall structure are kept wonderfully! Not many stores, I'm afraid this mall may be having a hard time. :( The kid's area is awesome, there's a giant trampoline too! Ridgmar Mall - Super cute - Shopping Centers Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

Oh Ridgmar Mall. You've really been through the ringer over the years. I've lived in Fort Worth most of my life so I've seen this place in good times, I've seen this place in disrepair, I've seen it after the massive hail storms a decade or so back and I've seen it pristine after more than one remodel. Right now, I'd give it about a 3 out of five. It's not falling apart, but there are so many empty slots it seems lately. But this place is still home to my favorite (and closest to my home) movie theater. They used to call it the Rave, but recently it's been called Cinemark I guess? I dunno, I have no interest in keeping up with who owns them until I start getting crummy service or experiences and that hasn't happened yet. As far as theaters within my driving distance, this is still the best place to go it seems. The appear to be getting remodeled right now, but after a particularly miserable experience at the Movie Bistro where I missed a huge chunk of Avengers 2, I went back here with my cousin Joe to watch it properly on a better screen and with their great sound systems. Going back to Ridgmar mall, I always root for this place. There's been times when it seemed like you wouldn't be able to find a parking place because so many people were shopping there, and there's been times when it seemed so desolate you'd have to run from survey takers because you were the only one in sight... spooky. For right now though, they have a good selection of stores and the place always seems reasonably clean and tidy. read more

Ridgmar Mall - These seats in the theater are incredible. So comfy. :) - Shopping Centers Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

I've visited this mall for years and years and often came here as a younger child. I actually used to prefer Ridgmar to Hulen as it's a much larger mall than Hulen and seemed more exciting to me which is crazy to think about now. I used to love eating at the Zodiac Cafe in Neiman Marcus with my mother and visiting Build a Bear. The wing down by the now closed Neiman Marcus has been pretty dead for as long as I can remember, and so was the Dillard's wing. That being said, this mall still used to have a really wide variety of different stores throughout the rest of the mall to choose from and lots of name brand stores, all of which were usually larger than their locations at Hulen Mall because, well, this is a much larger mall. Unfortunately, Ridgmar was doomed the second that Neiman Marcus announced that they would be leaving in 2015/2016. This announcement wasn't shocking to me as I've always thought Neimans was somewhat out of place there, as it's an upscale store and I don't think Ridgmar has ever been an upscale mall necessarily, although it definitely was once nicer than it is now. I still had hope for Ridgmar though even after Neimans announced its plans as they still had four other anchors to keep them alive. Then not long after Macy's announced they were out too. Then the same year Dillard's turned into a clearance center. Then they were left with JCPenney and Sears. Then Sears closed last year. Ridgmar is now left with only JCPenney and the movie theater as anchors, along with half of a Dillard's. The only store that's left that I would actually go into in this mall is H&M, although there's one much closer to me at Hulen Mall so probably not, or maybe the clearance center. As anchors have pulled out, so have most of the stores. Walking through this place gives you a really eerie feeling as for every store you pass that's open, there's about five that are shuttered. Even the food court is just sad at this point and the only chain place remaining is Chick Fil A. (God only knows why they're still there). Even Sonic and Subway have left. I can't imagine why the owners of this mall think that the newly added sketchy aquarium attraction is going to keep this million square foot mall that has literally no stores left afloat but more power to them for having hope that it does. read more

Ridgmar Mall - Neimans as of June 2017 - Shopping Centers Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

This mall used to be my favorite spot, back in high school. Hope that don't tell my age. If you need a special place that you just don't want to drive to hulen for then sure but if you want to wander the mall and buy a bunch of stuff u don't need this is not the place. Dillard's does have a clearance center that was pretty cool. Shoe place (nope don't recall the name but the biggest one in there.) was over priced. This mall is turning into the lost village, could be a flea market one day, who knows. Unless this area comes up (doubt it) it will not last long. Earthy place there I will return to for sure. Otherwise nope. If you use Yelp to find businesses here make sure they still exist. I found 3 which are already gone. In the bathroom watch out for the scent dispenser it will spray while your at the sink and hit you in the face. It read more

We really only come here for SeaQuest or the trampoline jump thing. It's sad this place is so run down. The restrooms are all gross and they're Hot? Not sure what that's about. Make ya need to hover. Really hoping this mall does an upturn and gets more stores in the future. It used to be a great place! read more

Not sure why this place is still open...pretty much empty and very few stores. There is still a JCP, Bath & Body Works, a shoe store, the Seaquest aquarium, and maybe a couple places in the food court. Seems more costly to keep it open. But, it is a good place to go for an indoor walk read more

A totally happening Mall! Not! LOL But it fit our needs just fine! Parking close to doors. Light foot traffic inside. Music level good. And a colorful "train" one can ride through the mall. With, or without the kids/grandkids. The "Conductor " even wore his required hat. Stores were easily accessible, and the mall was fairly clean. (Don't look to close at the escalators, etc.) The "up" escalator worked but the "down" didn't. No bien for someone who was having knee surgery the next day. We didn't walk the mall as we were on our way to dinner, but I would go back and shop there. read more

I'm not even sure I would call this a mall, it's so dead and deserted here. Seems like a zombie apocalypse waiting to happen! Most of the stores are closed down or empty. It seems like they're trying to bring it back to life since I saw few coming soon signs on the walls of the empty stores. Hopefully they can turn it around, because as of right now I typically only go for the food court, and a few of the accessory store and a shoe store. The plus side is, it's really quiet and not a lot of people go there. read more

Ridgmar Mall - Shopping Centers Near Me - Fort Worth, Texas

We came here to activate our memberships for a new aquarium that had opened up that was running a half off deal. As we entered the mall it was a total throw back to mall I watched die in North Richland Hills. It existed and thrives when I was growing up but all the stores vacated, moved to a nearby new mall or shopping center, the mall was a creepy empty shell that eventually was torn down. (If you go by the new NRH city hall that's the area that mall was and most of that area is still a concrete waste land) Here it almost seems like it's trying to save itself from the same fate by adding the aquarium and having some sort of dinosaurs exhibit come in ... possibly trying what a mall in Grapevine did with some success ... but with broken elevators and a vendor selling tazers right outside the aquarium by the santa and play area makes me a little iffy of this mall. Hopefully they get the revamp they are wanting but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes the way of the dinosaurs. read more

To me, it just seems like Ridgmar just gets worse and worse and worse, instead of better. In the past week, I've heard something very interesting regarding this mall from two different people. Supposedly, the JCPenney here is relocating to the much busier La Gran Plaza. I don't really find this hard to believe, since La Gran receives 5 million visitors per year! I'm almost certain Ridgmar doesn't receive a fifth of those visitors. The other rumor is that Dillards is leaving altogether, (no relocation), since they already have a location at Hulen. Both of these are purely rumors, as neither store looks as if they're closing at the moment, and you cannot find anything about this online. I just wonder if anyone else has heard the same thing. Macy's was also looking pretty barren today, and basically everything I saw was on sale. I'm not sure why, but I have a sneaking suspicion that they might be in the beginning stages of closing? There's no signs saying so, but it just looks unusually empty. I very well may be wrong. It's just a feeling. The only good thing in store for this poor mall is the opening of H&M, which is opening later this year. Besides that, things are looking pretty bleak. Places like Windsor have relocated to Hulen, places like Charlotte Russe, Image, Aeropostale, Wet Seal, Dairy Queen, Chili's, El Fenix, and many, many others. There's probably around 30 vacant storefronts. And some of the "stores" here are medicare places, a breast cancer research place or something involving breast cancer, "ogle" schools, (hairstylist schools), and other places of the such. I just noticed that Ridgmar doesn't have, and has never had as far as I know, a Gap. Or a Hollister, or an Abercrombie and Fitch. This mall seriously needs a renovation soon and some more non-sketchy stores. read more

Ridgmar, Oh Ridgmar.... if only the staff could only figure out your secrets. Ridgmar is such a baffling mall. The whole place was gorgeously remodeled mostly inside (and somewhat out) about 5 - 10 years ago (see pics). It has a large kids play area, a merry-go-round (for KAI S.) and a Joint Naval Base right around the corner (you can watch jets take off from the parking lot). But it still feels like Hulen Mall's little sibling (which is not too far away). As far as a mall to walk around or hang out in, I couldn't recommend this mall enough (seems like that's what everyone else is doing). But having a beautiful place to hang out in certainly doesn't look to bring on the impulse in many people to actually shop. My only complaint... Dead Ends. I don't think I ever get the same empty impression at other malls like I do at the North and South ends of Ridgmar Mall (even though they have businesses and a Rave Theater (South End) in those areas). Maybe its all the buzz going on in the middle of the mall (Kids Area / Food Court) and really nothing on the ends that causes those feelings... I don't know, but it's a weird phenomenon that seems to be making it hard to keep vendors in those areas. But otherwise, the Disneyland of malls in the Fort Worth area and I highly recommend seeing it for yourself. read more

I have lived in Fort Worth for almost two years and although there are huge sections of the mall shutdown I still really enjoy coming. I have 3 small children and the play area for the kids is great. I haven't found any other mall that caters to kids the way Ridgmar does in Fort Worth. And they recently added Seaquest and a open family play area that's super affordable. With that said, I would recommend this mall for families looking for stuff to do with their small children. I have nothing to complain about except when parents don't monitor or follow the rules in the play area. If your looking for a play area this mall is great. As far as shopping, if your more introverted like me and prefer less crowds than shopping will be delightful. I really hope this mall can survive. read more

I grew up with this mall, so it will always hold a special place to me. To see it the way it is depresses me, as I was hoping to bring my kids to this mall someday. With that said, I would like to see them open more stores here, as this is still a good location and could become a center of economic prosperity again. Something needs to be done about the crime in the surrounding area though. 10 years ago, you would NEVER of thought of Ridgmar as a place where you could get shot. I can't believe that today in 2017 that this is a reality. Right now merchants and consumers have a legitimate concern for life and safety in coming around this area. Something needs to be done about physical security if this mall is to be brought back to life. It really is a nice place and I would like to see it become a nice place again. read more

Ah Ridgmar Mall. I grew up about six blocks from this monument to consumerism. Plentiful memories.... Since being renovated over the last few years this mall qualifies for "A-OK" status now (it used to be horribly dark, gloomy, dying) & is definitely the epitome of suburban low key mall. It's definitely a little smaller than most but is at least multi-level & predominantly indoor (all under one roof). All parking is outside. Lacking in the major entertainment attractions department (no ice rink, merry-go-round, etc) but semi-making up for it by its new face lift & subsequent brighter, prettier image, this mall does at least have two movie theaters virtually attached to it. Expect your usual snooty TX types here but less than you'd find at Hulen Mall. Don't come here expecting tons of excitement, that's for sure, but instead a peaceful mall experience. Eh, I suppose this mall's alright. read more

The only way to get to Dr Le's office and the Lenscrafters next door is to enter this unfortunate mall. I felt like I had stepped into a time warp. I could deal with it being an unattractive space if the stores were decent, but the selection is terrible. There are a few decent anchor stores that need updated, but aside from those there is nothing remotely interesting in this mall. A sea of junk stores. I didn't know Spencer's was still in business. That's my nightmare. There are 2 things I look for first in a mall, Starbucks and Sephora. Neither of those are here. OK, I can deal. But I couldn't believe there isn't a Gap or Express, I thought those were mall staples. I'll give it a 2 star for Dr Le (who is great) and Lenscrafters, but the rest is fail. read more

Ridgmar Mall is a magical place to me because it was the first mall I ever went to as a kid, and kind of grew up there, going there every year to shop for school clothes, Christmas gifts, and on special occasions went shopping was in order this was the mall we always went to! The only things this mall has going for it anymore is the aquarium, Sephora, and the Dillard's outlet. I am a single mom of three daughters and generally feel unsafe coming to this mall. I had to call to report a shoe polish vendor that was extremely rude to my 11 year old daughter (embarrassed her) and then followed us to the ice cream/smoothie vendor after we left the aquarium. I will say management was concerned and reported the incident to security. I grew up coming to this mall and it has turned to total crap. We even saw a dead roach floating in the fountain. Food court does not offer many choices and we ate Chilfila only to view a man sitting there cleaning his ear with the tip on his glasses ear piece. Mortified! I just feel unsafe here now.
