The entire center of the store is undergoing maintenance which was not so frustrating, until I was met with an employee letting me know I was not allowed to be in a section due to construction. Understandable however when I exclaimed it was not blocked off I was met rudely with a negative response basically blaming it on another customer and not taking any accountability for lack of attention in their store. I even explained and apologized understanding the situation and the lady was still rude as hell to me. I just don't understand why there was not tape over the section customers are not allowed in.

I was planning an outing to the Military Museum of Fort Worth so I decided to come check out Ridgmar Mall. I walked all of the first and second floor of this mall on a Wednesday in April of 2026. Sadly, the museum is no longer in Ridgmar, there's a sign posted at their former location. I can tell this was once a thriving mall. I wish that it still was. The food court has 2 restaurants open. I saw 3 or 4 salons and at least 3 clothing boutiques open for business. And thankfully LensCrafters and JCPenney are in here still going strong. If you're looking into driving big rigs they have a school in here. Online shopping- BOO to you! While I was there I saw approximately 14 other people not counting employees. It's been many moons since I stepped foot in an indoor mall, even longer since being in this one…read more It's a little nostalgic, since malls were the thing during the 80's when I was growing up. The record stores are long gone, the demographic that they pander to has changed, and sadly the population that visits has obviously decreased a lot as well. We were there a few days before Christmas and there was only a handful of people walking around. We stopped in just to visit since we had just finished dinner at the attached restaurant. There is a handful of closed spots, with a few displaying signs that a new one is coming. A lot of the stores we were used to visiting are gone. The place seems, to me, a bit run down. Musty and a bit dusty. I can see where some items were made more modern and updated, but it still feels like it's aged a lot and not gracefully. For malls, it's a smaller one, it doesn't' carry a wide foot print, nor a very long one. The outside gives it a large appearance, but inside it's tiny. Even with its size, it's a decent mall to visit.

After hearing a rave review from a coworker who visited, I knew I had to check it out for myself. I spent about five minutes driving around the plaza trying to find the store. I ended up having to drive out of the parking lot, passed pho hung restaurant and turnefleft before I saw a sign and realized I was in the right spot. This is like a home goods or Ross but much much smaller. They have some good prices and deals. I saw a nice looking wooden patio bench for $99 and a Paris themed bistro set on sale for 79 bucks. Some of the sale items don't seem like they are marked down very much which defeats the purpose of a sale to me. In the kitchen cookware aisle, I saw discounted Staub and Greenpan cookware! Definitely worth a look. Some of the bed sets were a little pricey. If you look you can find really great deals. I'm sure I'll be back. The thing I associate the most with west 7 is their bars and night life. A lot of these places are open during the day as a brunch/restaurant but I prefer the bar scene at night. It can be dangerous is you go to certain places as it can get rough but if you just walk away and dont start trouble you will be fine. At night there are a lot of people here and it can get very dirty with lots of trash due to there being a lot of food trucks in the area. You can find tacos, empanadas, pizza, sandwiches and even BBQ being sold at night out here in the streets. Parking is free if you purchase something from some of the restaurants there but that is not always the case. Free street parking can be found you just have to look or you can pay for staying in the garage. A couple of blooks have 'pay to work' with parking meters but they usually offer you 2 free hours. I would suggest parking as far away and then walking to west 7 at night because if you park on the street after 10pm they will tow your car. I seen it happen multiple times where people pay and park but dont read that it expires at 10pm and right on the dot the tow trucks come out and take peoples car. Be careful where you park and dont start any trouble.
