This place is meat heaven. And everything is so affordable! Got a merguez pinwheel, three giant brats, a big ole slab of pork belly. All for under $35! Everything was delicious. Perfectly cured. They're also a grocery with a ton of Polish and European cooking ingredients for sale. For some reason, I thought they only took cash, but they take cards! Definitely a must if you're in the neighborhood and having a BBQ!

Spent $109 on various stuff including bacon jam, Cajun pastrami, espresso wild boar salami, angus bauette, pork pate, duck pate, mex burgers, wagyu burgers, morcilla, etc

I was biking around exploring new parts of BK and Queens and cought a whiff of smokey pork goodness. Was not disappointed when I entered and saw the meat selection. Left with house smoked bacon, chorizo, lamb sausage and mergez all delicious. Definitely coming back.

Mmmm...Peppered Bacon! Note the accompanying Kale -Kimchi Omelette drizzled with Sriracha.

Some women impulse buy shoes. I buy meat. Invariably, it winds up in the back of our freezer until I get inspired to do something with it. So it was with the Peppered-Bacon we bought from here a couple months ago, which I recently unearthed: Thick-cut, chewy, and smoky, with a peppery kick, this is bacon that demands to be savored. Cherished even. We did exactly that, serving it alongside my latest brunch recipe crush, a kale-kimchi omelette. I was less enamored with the Ground Pork from here. While definitely more flavorful than the sad, overly lean Whole Foods or Fairway stuff I usually buy, I was looking for fatty and unctuous. (Alas, I think I will need to explore Chinatown for that). That being said, this little shop offers friendly, personal service and samples of whatever charcuterie that may catch your eye. If I lived nearby, I'd be here all the time. Who needs shoes?

THE Best Salami in Brooklyn. Everything was SO GOOD.

It was introduce to my dad through a coworker back in the 80's when he would bring goodies back from the shop on a regular basis. He then introduced it to me after I got my driver's license. After my dad retired, it became my job to stop by and pick up our favorite cuts of meat. Whenever I stop in, the gentleman who has served my dad would still ask, "How's Little Shanghai?", referring to my father lovingly. I guess that makes me "Baby Shanghai." Lol. Btw, he has no idea that my dad is 20+ his senior. He only realized when I told him my age. He also would know my order, the usual Paprika Bacon, Garlic Bacon, Meatloaf, Mini Frankfurters, and just a few pieces of their amazing Chicharron. Furthermore, I would often add on a few other items like Head Cheese, Kielbasa, Tarska Bacon, Black Forest Bacon, Smoked Pork Shoulder, Smoked Pig Feet, etc. There are just so many meaty goodies. If you are unfamiliar with Eastern European meats, just simply ask for a taste. They will gladly oblige. Prices are very reasonable. You can leave with a bag of meats for less than $30. I often leave with a large bag closer to $75-100 to enjoy for the next week. Whatever you do, just make sure you try this shop.

My buddy who lives in Ridgewood Queens invited over for a small bbq last night. Like I always say,…read moreI hate showing up to someone's house empty handed so I popped open Yelp on my phone and found this awesome meat shop. It's a bit hard to find as it's actually inside a larger grocery store... so once you walk into the entrance, head all the way to the back and to the right (not to be confused with the deli meat counter, go passed that). I got 2lbs of NY Strip steak and they were cut perfectly. I used a cast iron pan, put it on high heat and I let it get reallly hot as I prepped the steaks (while watching a youtube steak cooking tutorial at the same time... it's always helpful to have a reminder). I patted the steaks dry, added some grinded pink himalayan salt, pepper and garlic and seared them over some ghee butter for about 3 minutes on each side. I overdid them a little bit as I tried gettting fancy and covered it with another pan for about a minute. Next time I'll probably skip that step but all in all, it came out delicious! My friends were pretty impressed with my youtube cooking skills but there's always room for improvement. Oh and I forgot to mention the best part... their customer service! When I went to pay I realized I left my wallet at home and they were totally going to hold the steak for me for when I got back. Luckily, they also took apple pay so I was good to go, but I really appreciated that they didn't scoff or make it a big deal! I told my buddy who lives in the area all about them and he's excited to give them a try himself. While I wasn't a fan of the grocery store (it seemed like none of the customers there had an aisle manners), I can't blame them for that.

The quality of the meats here are A+ Angelo (owner) and Victor are kind, courteous and always…read morehelpful I would recommend this business to anyone looking for good service and good quality!
