News to me because he's had baths at multiple Lucy's locations many times and regularly. They explained they were letting him air dry. Air dry a GSD? Now he smells like wet dog. When I picked him up at 12:50 no bandanna or cologne. Not the first time they missed that. Makes you wonder if all the services were performed when you pay $150. Manager attempted to interject but kept interrupting me. At that point, I was checked out. He stated he would inquire and call. No attempt to fix it right then. It's been two and a half hours and still no call. I'll drive a bit further to the 1604 location or look for another dog bather.

They are true animal lovers who care for my pets as I do. My dogs love them. They are also both active in the pet rescue and adoption community. This isn't just a job for them. After this happened, my puppy, in fear went to the corner and didn't move from that point on (30 or so minutes). I called the front desk immediately and asked for Misty, who was occupied - then I requested my baby be removed and put into a kennel until I got there. The staff member who answered said they would notify whoever was monitoring and NEVER removed my dog. 15 or so minutes later I called again and spoke with Misty who did remove my dog and put her in a kennel until I arrived. To add, there was only 1 kind staff member besides Misty, who helped me during drop off. One of the ladies glared at me in the am and the other one had a very poor attitude during checkout. She came back filthy, smelly, and whiny. Never again.

It has a nice time range of drop off and pick up times which helps with Dad's schedule and ensures that I get to come home without delay. I like that we get an opportunity to play outside 90 minutes at a time, 3 times a day. The outdoor area is 1/2 covered and 1/2 in the sun, which gives me options in various weather conditions. Since I'm just a year old and under 40 lbs, the helpers also put me in the small doogie group with others my size, so we can play together. There is a separate area to go potty and plenty of time set aside to rest. The owner is friendly and answered questions quickly. After an interview, updated shots, and a 3 hour daycare trial , it was determined that I could come back here for an overnight stay. The 4'x6' kennels are big enough to get a good night sleep. It's a good thing Dad remembered the dog mat because the floors are concrete and would have been too cold for me. Glad we found this place because next to sticking to Dad and Mum like velcro, this boarding facility is a good fit when they can't be with me.

The online booking process was quite easy. Unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing due to overbooked grooming services and poor check-in communication. I received multiple calls with various frustrating excuses, including one that said they couldn't find the paperwork detailing the grooming style I wanted for my poodle and another that cited staffing shortages. These were just a couple of the reasons provided. I received these calls while I was at work, which was exactly why I had boarded my dogs--to avoid interruptions unless absolutely necessary. Since I remained in San Antonio, I expected better communication and reliable follow-through, especially given the high costs involved. I wish I had been informed from the start about the issues so they could have been addressed while I was not in the middle of giving presentations. After all my troubles, I was offered a 10% discount on the grooming, but they ultimately did a subpar job. I am very disappointed with the staff I spoke to, including the manager. I didn't want to express my frustration immediately, so I waited three weeks before posting this review.
