We got 3 estimates and went with Deck Specialists for fair price and their concern for some rotting siding they noticed on the connection to the house. We planned to rebuild our new deck to the size and shape of the existing, with a few adjustments. Over all, we were happy with the end results, but we had to initiate a lot of the scheduling communication and discussion on how details were coming together. A few things were not well planned out and had to be corrected; could have been avoided if there was better communication and planning within their group. They did accommodate us every day on our lunch break time to let our dogs out. And the guys kept tidy and were very respectful. I would recommend Deck Specialist, but I strongly encourage future customers to pay very close attention and communicate as much as possible to make sure everything goes smoothly and expectations are met.

I have hired Billie J. Gregory / Construct Elite Builders for other projects in the past and was…read morehappy with the work. For my most recent project to install shelves, I paid $500 upfront. Billie later claimed that this money should be applied to previous jobs he underbid, but the funds were for the shelving project, which he never performed. Despite repeated requests, the money has not been returned. It's unfortunate when someone takes advantage of a client who is trying to help, which reflects poorly on their business practices. I cannot recommend this contractor for projects requiring reliability and follow-through.
