I can't say enough incredible things about Jamie Campbell and his team at Lakenridge Builders! My…read morehusband and I hired them to gut and completely renovate a nearly 100 year old farmhouse that had been abandoned and needed lots of love. We made the right choice! From the start they worked with us to plan, design and execute the dream we had for our forever home. Their communication and service really impressed us, on top of the beautiful work they do! We love our new "old" house and all the memories we are already making in it thanks to Jamie and Lakenridge Builders! Here are some before and after shots to see just how talented they are!

Do not make the same mistake we did! After…read morebuilding three homes, our experience with Lakenridge Builders was by far the worst. We experienced significant cost increases, poor communication, delays, and disappointing workmanship. The 20% contractor fee structure resulted in costs far beyond what we expected, and we often struggled to get clear explanation for additional charges. We also moved into a home with unfinished work and problems that required our time and money to correct. Based on our experience, we would never recommend Lakenridge Builders.

We are pleased to have contacted the Estrada Brothers to build us a much-needed backyard fence…read more Our initial call was based on customer satisfaction and photos we reviewed. Thankfully, the customer service and quality work they provided us was just as good as their reviews -- and, in our opinion, even better! They listened to our ideas, studied our simple sketch, walked the yard, offered suggestions, measured carefully -- twice -- and gave a detailed estimate. We made a few minor revisions before giving them the go-ahead. They were patient and attentive to the details, transferring thoughts to paper with prices up front. When the time came to begin work, the crew (Uriel and brother, Rolando, along with father, Vincent, and friend of the family, Gerardo), showed up on time and prepared to work -- hard. When met with unexpected events, the crew stayed calm and dedicated to the tasks at hand. When a large and aged, rotting tree collapsed as thick vines were cut away, they brought in a chainsaw and got to work clearing the back quarter of our yard and fence line. The guys built the gates to match the rustic style of the split rail fence and cleaned up nicely. Though the days here hot and conditions were sometimes miserable, the crew remained upbeat and pleasant. It was great having them here and getting to know them. We are totally happy with the finished project.

I sought damages for the flooding pool house, but apparently there's a statute of limitations. The…read moreowner of the company made a motion for dismissal of my small claims court case under G.S. Statute 1-50, (a), (5) a. which states "No action to recover damages based upon or arising out of the defective or unsafe condition of an improvement to real property shall be brought more than six years from the later of the specific last act or omission of the defendant giving rise to the cause of action or substantial completion of the improvement." and the case was dismissed. So to get the case dismissed the business needed to cite a statute that is expressly covering "defective or unsafe condition of an improvement to real property." For the statute to hold water (pun intended), there would need to be a tacit admission of "defective or unsafe condition of an improvement to real property." Read contracts carefully before working with this company.

We hired this place to do a kitchen remodel and replace our floors. What was supposed to be a 2…read moreweek job took 4 months to complete. 6 months after the job was complete we contacted Richard Shaw (Chuck), the owner and guy we dealt with the entire time, and let him know the floor was breaking, cracking, bowing. The transitions were cracked, some were coming off of the floor. Cracks in the floor were found to be glued to be repaired. After a couple of months and many excuses later he finally came out and made a poor attempt to fix one part of the floor. He said he had to order more flooring and come back out. Even joking that we didn't feel like he would come back. Again after many texts messages and excuses, we finally requested a refund for the floor so we could have someone fix them correctly. We were ignored. He never returned any messages and left us with no other choice but to file a civil suit. We were trying to be patient. After 9 months of nonsense we had enough. We filed, showed up to court and were told they couldn't serve carolina home remodel. The physical address doesn't match the company apparently. So we are now left with a busted up floor that we spent thousands of dollars on and its been just over a year. We will continue to pursue legal action.
