Awful place if you have any type of mobility problem. Very few handicapped parking spaces. We drove around for half an hour and couldn't find one. We were forced to use valet parking - $9.00 and we were there for only about an hour. The parking garage locations mean there's a fair amount of walking to get to stores. We loved the idea of having a Whole Foods store near, one of the highlights of the mall, likewise the Container Store, Apple, Lefteris and SurLaTable are stores I like to go to. What really bugs me is the parking. We would love to go there carefree and shop more, however we are reminded that parking is the biggest business here. Good Luck if you order food and want to pick it up quickly. There is no quick parking near the restaurants and the park houses are creepy. Metal steps and tiny elevators, hallways as the whole mall and a scary vibe around it. If it rains you will get drenched in this mall, no matter if they play loudly 'Don't worry, be Happy' in the streets. Women avoid the park houses, they don't feel secure. I don't understand that not all restaurants can clip parking coupons and that Ridge Hill mostly got rid of safer parking in the streets. Might be that parking is same for one hour and maybe the whole day, but who can stand being in a mall that long. At Whole Foods where we can park next to the store for 90 minutes, do the shopping and with a little luck can make it across the mall to have a bite. Otherwise you have to pay a hefty day price even if you stay just a couple of minutes. And good luck when you lost your ticket. That happened to me once while at Whole Foods. The parking security guard treated me so miserably that I vowed never to go back again. Another thing I noticed is that the merchandise is tailored to what is expected as clientele. The Lord & Tailor, despite being big store, has not the great variety that Eastchester has. Other stores likewise (guitar store) didn't have good merchandise either. read more

ATTENTION PET OWNERS: Don't EVER take your pet to Ridge Hill in Yonkers for pics with Santa! Two dozen dogs and their owners waiting on line in the rain because the incompetent staff couldn't get their act together. Supposed to start at 7:30, by 8 they still had not opened the doors. The environment they produced was anxiety ridden and not suitable for handling a large amount of dogs in one area. At 8 pm we just left as I did not think it was fair to subject my pup to anymore of this. Ridge Hill turned what should have been a fun festive night into a mess. Get your act together if you're going to try to run events such as this. read more

Ridge Hill is awesome! Unfortunately the food service at Nathan's is horrid. No organization what so ever!

It's really a shame that this mall was designed so poorly. It has decent stores and restaurants (as far as malls are concerned) but the parking situation is horrible. I can't understand why they didn't make the central street into a walking plaza. The signage is terrible so even thought the place isn't that big, it makes it hard to find stores. They don't have enough machines to pay for parking so there was a long line just to pay the $3. I can't imagine going near this place as it gets closer to Christmas! read more

Ridge Hill stores are a convenient and fresh alternative to the other locations. I do have a problem paying for parking (which I didn't have to do before West Med) for doctor visits. That is appalling. Another misnomer is the first 30 minutes being free... Not for me!!! Or the lady next to me at the machine. That sign should be removed because it's not true. I am a frequent customer in Lord and Taylor but I am disappointed with the staff at Ridge Hill, especially in the fine jewelry area. The woman who attended to ruined my day, she attended to me angry and not kindly. In the end I'm angry too. I do not recommend buying jewelry on ridge hill, maybe in another Lord and Taylor they have a good way to do their job. read more

You can spend a day there shopping and eating, it's nice enough. But when it's busy, the parking lots and street traffic is a nightmare. They have traffic directors at each intersection and someone standing at the exit of the parking lot to help pay, because volume is bad. It just wasn't designed to accommodate that amount of traffic. read more

Who designed that place. What a cluster... I don't deny that there is a certain convenience of so many stores, restaurants and entertainment options in one place BUT you got to be able to get to them without loosing your mind. Life is stressful/difficult as it is, I don't need to deal with careless drivers, people too lazy to walk a couple of steps, standing in traffic for no apparent reason all due to a stupid traffic lay out, paying outrages amounts of money for parking in parking garages that you have to wait long times to get in and out, wait in line to pay for parking at parking station and people that are not doing their jobs to make thinks smoother. Now one might think I must have visited the place during the Christmas rush - oh no - I am talking about normal weekends, no holiday, no school vacation, no special sale event. I must be mayhem there during the hyped up shopping seasons. Never again!! read more

Such a nice mall. What Atlas Park in Glendale Queens should have been. Beautiful landscape, a Whole Foods, Apple Store, REI, the Gap, Dick's sporting goods, a variety of clothing stores, restaurants, movie theater and Lego Land. Yonkers residents are so lucky it is there. read more

Lousy... faux high end expensive junk made in China in large stores with nobody in them. I went twice, never again, the first time I had to pay $3 dollars to park so that I could buy a $2.50 web strap. The second time I had to pay a $1.50 at a meter to park for an hour, both stores that I went to didn't have what I wanted. They have this stupid looking tram thing running around that's a laugh. There are plenty of other places in Westchester that I can go and not pay for parking, I'd rather put the money in the gas tank and go for the ride. It's only a matter of time before a lot of these stores start going out of business. The location is... well... weird. Oh... and the public speaker system is annoying. read more

I was in the area and thought I would check out the LL Bean and REI. Everything was clean, not too crowded (it was a cold weekday) and the complex itself was very neat and pristine looking. I didn't feel like I would be trampled on by hordes of shoppers and their shopping bags like I sometimes am at other shopping malls. But that kind of atmosphere, apparently, you pay for. I was rather annoyed at their paid parking lot. I never have to pay for parking at other malls, and their price of $3+ was just enough to piss me off. So you can imagine my rage when I lost that damn little piece of paper. That tiny parking ticket cost me $11, and we were there for under 2 hours, and didn't buy anything at all (I found their stores to be slightly overpriced). I really wish the lost ticket fee was less, or they had some other method to determine how long you were there for. It was still early in the day, so it's obvious we were not there for long. We tried calling security since the pay machines don't deal with lost tickets. We waited for a long time (and called again) before some security guard person found us (they should number their machines so we can say "we're at machine #xx") only to have the guard tell us to pay by credit card as we exit. DUH -- couldn't the guy on the phone tell us that?? What a waste of money and time. Very frustrating experience. I'm never going back - their paid parking lot is sheer ridiculosity. read more

Amazing center it has everything to spend the day with friends or family. Food, movies, supermarket, medical center, and shopping. The best looking TJ MAXX with the friendliest staff is hidden here, they were so nice to recommend Brio for lunch. Loved it and looking forward to returning to TJ MAXX as well as trying the other restaurants. read more

Will not go back. Parking is ridiculous. $3.50, for 6hour minimum !! Bought a gift in Dick's Sporting Goods which ended up being the wrong size. Went back to exchange and had to pay another $3.50 for the 10 minutes it took to exchange. $7.00 parking fees to buy one darn item?? absurd. There is only a small handful of street metered short term spaces which from what I saw and also hear from others are never open. No wonder. This complex is on acres and acres of land. No reason to charge so much for parking. Even in congested White Plains parking is charged in 20 minute increments in the garages at the City Center and The Westchester. Like I said I will probably not go back. There are plenty of other places to shop in the area. This seems to be the opinion of most of the people I spoke to also. Oh well. read more

This review is about the Verizon Wireless store in this mall. Unprofessional, long wait (2 hours to be exact - I was the 2nd person in line there - the smart people behind me left before being served). And when I was finally seen, the rep went so fast through the details of the contract that he signed me up for ALL the extras without asking me. I received all these charges on my bill and my debit card. And when confronted, he said well "you signed for it". Never again. Stay away. This is NOT an actual Verizon store - they just have a license to sell their products at a commission. Save yourself the trouble and go to Verizon's website and look up an actual Verizon location. Anyway - the mall is a great mall for the exception of this "store". Those in charge should reconsider this vendor - get them out! It's dead space! Get another vendor that will encourage foot traffic and add to your reputation! ie. Children's Place, Hallmark, Bath & Body etc. read more

I have been going to Ridge Hill since it was still under construction. It is one, if not my favorite outdoor mall. I love the atmosphere and the choices of stores there are. It's definitely a great place to hang out with friends. I do, however, feel that there should be more restaurant options. read more

I can't wait until this mall is finished. I love the Cheesecake Factory and the movie theater is excellent - really top notch. The parking has been mentioned here before but I'll cite it again. Some places validate and some don't - but what really pisses me off is the garage across from the LA Fitness. They have the cross walk at the end of the block by the staircase. I'm happy to take the stairs to get to my car, but I have to first cross in front of traffic at the exit (and the valet area) in order to use the payment machine. Then I have to cross in front of traffic again to get back to the stairs. Most people cross the middle of the street outside to get to the machines rather than use the stairs, but you are forced to dodge cars as there is no cross walk. They need a pedestrian cross walk so people can access their machines. And often the machines at the exit are broken, so everyone is sitting in cars waiting for someone to come and fix to let us out. So their solution is to have attendents whose only job is to take your paid ticket and put it into the slot for you. How much are they paying people to do nothing?? How do I get one of those jobs. read more

Ridge Hill is a dangerous and non responsive operation . Please note I attempted to solve this problem with management but they did not respond. They say they have valet parking from 9 to 5 PM at the medical building. However the valet stops at 4:20, regardless of what the sign says. I was with an elderly woman in a wheelchair, could not valet as it was 4:25, and they would not let me pull into the 'cut out' area to get her out of the car. The two handicapped spots were,as usual not available , so I had to stop in the street, with traffic behind me and coming in the other direction. To assist this woman out of the car and into the building. It was dangerous and I am stunned the Yonkers PD does not address this issue. I gave them a star because the women at the guest relations counter were polite, agreed the situation was not good and gave me a complaint form.....which was ignored by management. read more
