I've never had a surgical procedure so I'm not used to it. All the machines and being carted on a gurney... scary. Anyway, the staff is INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY and really did their best to put me at ease. I have nothing but accolades for everyone here. Also, being under anasthesia and sedation, I had the BEST SLEEP in a long time. The facility is conveniently located near a pharmacy and is right off Broad. The parking lot was full when I arrived but there is still parking near a bank and the SSA building, all in the same lot.

My employer went bankrupt and I found out my health insurance was retroactively cancelled because the bills hadn't been paid. Despite the money coming out of my check to pay it, Blue Shield never got the money. So they took back their payments to everyone who had been paid for the past two months, including Wills and their anesthesiologists. Wills was perfectly within their rights to charge me market rates. But they adjusted off the Blue Shield discount anyway. So while Wills and I were both screwed by my ex-employer, I was treated as fairly as anyone could expect by their accounts receivable staff.

From the checkin with Riya who was very engaging and pleasant to the pre-op nurses Kathy, Lorna, and Cherelle. Cherelle was very helpful and knowledgeable! She was very patient with me. She answered all of my questions. The anesthesiologist, Dr Veloso & Jim were great. They asked all of the required questions and made sure everything was ok. The surgery nurses Maggie, Ashley and Gina were great. They crossed their Ts and dotted their Is. The Revovery nurse Natalie was ok. She didn't ensure my daughter was comfortable. She experienced a lot of gas and nausea and she mentioned to Natalie about the patch she had on for nausea that could cause nausea however Natalie didn't think to take that off to ease the nausea. It wasn't until I came into the area and asked her to remove it, that she took it off. My daughter felt better after the removal of the patch. We overheard another recovery nurse tell their patient (who had the same procedure) what to get for bad gas, but Natalie did not make any suggestions. You have the option to stay in the waiting area until your loved one's procedure is done. left to run errands. They communicated well with me with the surgery update and when to pick my daughter up. Overall, the experience here was GREAT!! everyone worked together to make sure my daughter's surgery was a success. Their discharge instructions were detailed.

It was annoying that patients who were getting procedures done had to pay for parking without notice. The worst is their answering service. Trying to call these people is an exercise in futility. They either don't answer the phone, letting it ring incessantly, or pick it up and hang up on you. We have been attempting to call about test results, that had been promised to be back last week sometime, and no one will answer the phone or return calls. It's highly frustrating that something as important as someone's health is being ignored. The answering service also seems woefully uninformed about who they are representing, and not well trained at all. It might be better to hire a few dedicated receptionists rather than use a service that is frankly sub-par at best.
