There are two sheets of ice and plenty of other amenities. There are really no bad seats for watching a youth hockey game. The locker rooms were clean and spacious, there is plenty of parking as well as nearby hotels if you are visiting for a tournament. This rink has a skate sharpener, small pro shop and a really nice concession stand. Parking is a challenge if there is a lot going on at the rink, but once inside there is plenty of room. The ice quality is great and they seem to be really well organized. Overall, this is a top notch facility.

Built in 1974, the City of Hastings owns and operates this two sheet facility. With the classic wood beams barrel roof design, it is one of the great, nostalgic rinks of the state. You will find similar classics in New Hope, Burnsville, and not many other locations like this one. In 1997, the city built a second (concrete rectangle) rink and expanded the lobby, concession, and locker room facilities. Both rinks are regulation NHL sized. The East Rink (Original), has a capacity of 1,000 and the West Rink can seat 200. This facility is among the prize jewels of Hastings. Along with Todd Field at McNamara Stadium, the high school stadium along Vermillion Street, the classic downtown, and memories of the old Spiral Bridge.

There is a large stands with ample room to watch games. You can imagine the place is loud and fun when the local team hosts a rival and the stands are full. Rink two is much smaller, at least the stands and viewing areas are smaller. The heater above the small bleachers is nice and useful to keep you warm! The rinks are connected by a heated common area with bathrooms, concessions, and a small retail office for tape and skate sharpening. I had a positive experience w the skate sharpening here. Decent price too. One cool feature is the rubber floor in the common area between the rinks. This is useful for getting between rinks or putting on skates without needing skate guards. A nice touch. This arena has all the bells and whistles one would expect of a MN high school hockey rink with a supportive community and successful program.

The arena itself was the perfect size in my opinion. There isn't a spot without a great view, even from the top!! And of course, the concessions are the best part of any sports game but I think this arena definitely takes the cake for the best options. Swedish meatball bowls, Kemp's ice cream, Domino's, and many more goodies to snack on! This was honestly the most impressive part for me. One thing to note is that the arena is downtown, so parking will be inevitably tricky. We got an Uber just to save us from the hassle of finding a spot. I can't wait to go back! Mariucci is the epitome of a fun, college hockey night and camaraderie. Ski-U-mah!

Tartan Arena is located next to Tartan High School at 740 Greenway Ave N. in Oakdale. Tartan Arena is a one sheet facility and is home to the Tartan High School Boys, North Tartan Girls High School and of the Tartan Area Youth Hockey Association. The Arena opened to the public in February of 1997 and was built under a joint powers agreement with Independent School District 622, the City of Maplewood, and the City of Oakdale.

We had previously attended the Tianyu Lights Festival in Phoenix, Arizona, and I wasn't sure anything could compare. Wanderlight Trail absolutely does. The displays are beautifully designed specifically for the Minnesota Zoo, blending animal-inspired lanterns with the natural landscape to create an immersive experience. As Minnesota Zoo members, we received discounted admission and have already visited three times this summer. Our first visit was a bit of a washout thanks to steady rain, umbrellas, and crowded pathways. Fortunately, we gave it another chance, and the next two visits showcased just how magical this event really is. The artistry, lighting, and attention to detail are simply stunning. One thing I especially appreciated was that every one of our kids, from elementary school age to college age, genuinely enjoyed it. That's not always easy to accomplish. Food and drinks were reasonably priced, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the grounds were spotless throughout the evening. My favorite surprise was the interactive dance floor, where the lights change colors as you dance across it. It was the perfect ending to the night and gave our youngest one last chance to burn off some energy. This event truly lights up the zoo in the best possible way. Highly recommend!!

In a state of awesome arenas, this is a perfectly functional arena in a convenient (for those in the north burbs at least) convenient easy to find location on Hwy 96. Added local bonus: great library across the street; indoor pool and water park at nearby Shoreview Community Center; a handful of restaurants within 1-2 mile drive. Bring gloves, a hat, and a seat cushion.

Went to see the MN Vixens (women's tackle football) play a team from Wisconsin (Dragons). Of course the Vixens won. :) They have plenty of parking. For the game they had a few food trucks come in, Which was nice. I love that this stadium is right off the highway (100)/easy to get to. I'm excited to go back for the rest of the games this season!
