Love the Açaí bowls at Rico's. They are always so fresh and tasty. While they have specific items they will also alter to your preference. I appreciate that. You can get to Rico's right off the train. If you drive and it's after 5 Friday or the weekend be sure to park in the deck adjacent to the market. I paid $6 to park across the street for a 15 minute visit to grab the açaí bowls. While I waited I walked the market. A great place to come with friends. They have google fiber there which is great. Overall kind of I really do think that they should lower their prices $22 for a bowl $44 for two bowls for the large bowls however I also do wish that they had gluten-free options for their granola the bowl of course taste pretty good but I think they need to add some more ingredients to their menu as well. read more

This place is located inside the 7th Street Public Market. They have other locations as well but I have only tried this one. It's in the front right of the market. The kiosk is very small but there is plenty of spots to sit to enjoy your acai bowl inside. I got the rainbow bowl. It comes in a size regular or large. I got the regular and thought that the portion size was great and shareable. It came with blueberries, kiwi, pineapple, banana, strawberry and raspberries. what made the acai portion unique was that they combined it with granola so it was less smoothie-bowl-like. The acai was very crunchy from the granola. It was over $10 a bowl. I would have liked more acai. This makes for a nutritious, delicious, and refreshing snack. read more

Woo Rico's! I feel like I've already written this review before but judging by all the locations popping up around Charlotte, I'm not surprised this one flew under my radar. This Rico's is tucked in the corner of 7th Street Public Market and is a great compliment to all the vendors in the space. With all the diverse food options, it's nice to have an Acai option for a meal replacements or something on the go. The staff is friendly and they will whip up a bowl for you no problem. I haven't tired online ordering like I did at my old office location where I would order, walk to the trailer location, and the bowl would be waiting for me when I arrived. The 7th Street Market is right close to 1st Ward Park, so grab a bowl of deliciousness and eat it in the park! It's also super convenient to the light rail. Visiting the market (validated parking) is an option as well if you are in a car. read more

This location...The açaí bowls are usually decently good. (Considering that's pretty hard to mess up), but the service... It's almost guaranteed that the people there are bothered by you ordering. Right when you walk up they don't want to help you. Usually it goes beyond lack of friendliness to the point they are just rude to you. At one point we walked up to order and the young girl working said "we are closed, we are out of strawberries". We asked if we can order something without strawberries. She literally looked at us, did a little eye-roll, and said "I mean, I guess". When we use to go there was one awesome employee, Heather. She's been pretty much the only good customer service experience to come out of Rico's. There are now a couple of girls that work there during the day and it's an absolute awkward mess. read more

I love Rico's. If you are looking for the best Acai bowl then look no further. The reason I gave them a 4 star & not 5 is because this location at 7th st is very inconsistent on how they make the bowls. Some days are better than others. On my last visit the girl was very stingy with the amount of toppings & she put all my topping on top of the bowl which isn't how I like it or how they normally make them for me. I will still come back because they are the best, however next time I will give clear instructions since they make the different every time apparently. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love Rico's Acai and I've come here many times. But it seems these past two times my bowl has been filled only halfway. My boyfriend and I both ordered a small butterbro except he added a topping. When we got our bowl his was filled to the top while mine looked unfinished. It is already enough money as is ordering a small with no toppings, I shouldn't have to order a large or pay extra for toppings just to get what is worth out of a small. My first time ever ordering Acai was great, my bowl was absolutely full. But these past two times I have yet to see that, and I don't want to feel like I'm wasting my money to get only half of this great food. read more

What a rip off! Everyone who enjoys a good Acai bowl knows that it is going to cost, so the price wasn't shocking. What was shocking was the service and the 'Acai', which is actually just a bunch of berries and granola. First, I had to ask the young lady if they were open. She said that she was, but continued to clean up (including using Lysol and mopping) before taking my order. I was pretty grossed out considering that she was just cleaning, but decided to order anyway. Then, when I got the bowl-- what a disappointment! There was literally no Acai. I asked if I showed her my bowl full of berries and asked for Acai and was told I had to pay more. I'm not sure how popular Acai is in Charlotte, but they are getting over on people. Came here on Saturday May 4th for breakfast and ordered a rainbow bowl. The fruit on top was delicious however the actually Acai was all still frozen and in very hard clumps. Not typical smooth consistency like it should be. Went ahead and ate it anyway but was still disappointed. Probably will not be coming back any time soon. read more

I was with my family and I wanted a bowl.I was having a Brazil bowl.When it came out it had good produce but bad acai.It was very chunky and dry and not smooth.I have had many acai bowls and this was my least favorite. I went to back to the booth to have them fix it, and the guy behind the counter scoffed at me and told me it was frozen and that's how it was supposed to be. He did nothing to remedy the situation.
