I DO NOT recommend using this company. Please, please, please be careful when doing business with…read morethis company. I only gave star because I had to rate to post. Mr. Dobbs REFUSED to properly complete job and did not pay subcontractor- forcing subcontractor to either collect from me directly or put lien on my home. I hired Mr. Dobbs to install wood flooring in my home. His "project manager" would not give us itemized list of work that was to be covered under contract. I repeatedly ask for this information and was given different excuses why it was not being supplied. I have asked for invoices from Mr.Dobbs to date I have not received anything. My main issue is that before we started flooring quote I told the "project manager Eugene" that we had been told by previous companies that our subfloor was not sufficient for wood flooring (particle board on top of 7/16 OSB). I was told by the project manager: "Your subfloors are fine", "my way is to prep as you see fit and have installer verify. I already know what you expect but you have to let me work now, your number is set in stone and I am the one who makes it so. and I will. Promise!" **When installer came out to my home he said the right way to do it would remove particle board but that we should check with flooring manufacture. I called Mr. Dobbs to my home and explained the situation to him and told him unless he could show me where the manufacturer says it is okay to install over particle board and 7/16 OSB that I wanted the issue to be fixed. After pulling up the particle board Mr. Dobbs handed me the phone to speak with his project manager and I was asked what subfloor I wanted- I replied that I was ok with OBS-but to use whatever the manufacturer called for. Spending over $13k for wood flooring the least he could do is install it the right way. Mr. Dobbs suggested that if we had issues with it (particle board getting wet and swelling and messing up hardwood) that our home insurance would cover it. How horrible is that...he is saying that he is going to do job wrong and let insurance pay when it fails. Mr. Dobbs did finally agreed with us and had the particle board removed and new subfloor installed. THEN- HE WOULDN'T PAY THE SUBCONTRACTOR!! the sub confronted me with this; and told me if I didn't pay him that he would have to put a lien on my home. When I confronted Mr. Dobbs with this he told me he never agreed to pay for this- Mr. Dobbs never said that this would be a charge to me; In the contract it clearly states "DEVIATION FROM SCOPE OF WORK: Any alteration of deviation from the Scope of Work referred to in the Contract Documents involving extra costs of materials or labor (including any overage on ALLOWANCE work) will be executed upon a written Change Order issued by contractor and should be signed by contractor and Owner prior to the commencement of additional work by the contractor..." I was never told I would be responsible for anything more that what my contract was for- and I shouldn't be charged anything additional for requesting the job be completely properly. Also- a job I had them do while in process of signing the wood floor contract is still incomplete. That should have been one the many signs I missed. I have filed complaint with BBB, and he has yet to respond to them either.

They showed up every day on time, worked a full day efficiently & cleaned up every day.....(these things may seem small but having delt with a couple other companies...it was a HUGE improvement). Everything we asked to get done & more was completed.....their work was impressive and we feel like we are living in a completely new home and are loving every minute!! We also hired a local electrician several times and went through thousands of dollars and it ended up being again, a half ass job. My dad recently retired and said he wanted everything fixed, finished and 100% the way they wanted it. That's when Gomez Remodeling came in the picture. My mom had originally emailed him back at the beginning of 2022 looking for just a few things to be fixed. After a long contemplation about hiring someone else to finish the entire projects, he started in November 2022. They finished yesterday 12/30 and we are speechless. Everything him and his team did is the best. He puts others to shame. It was a pretty expensive project and after the bad luck we had before, I was worried about my parents trusting another small business. My parents added a bunch of things along the way and he was always happy to complete everything we listed. They are great! You pay for what you get, and Gomez Remodeling is one of the best!!! From the floor trim, to crown molding, to a huge new bookcase and even removed the popcorn ceiling from every room they are incredibly talented and very fast. They also did entire new trim around every door in the house and painted every door with a fresh coat of paint!! Other companies wouldn't even think of that!! A+++++!

High points: 1) Start the job the next day. 2) Follow and complete all of my instructions even we never meet in person. 3) Did a nice and completed job with no supervision in 36 hours. 4) Did not harass me for payment before and when the job is done.
