Was PAST EXTREMELY RUDE and called my husband a liar to his face. We left, went to car and called in complaints.

Hell no!! Stay away! This Dr. Ricky Bassi covers for colleagues who commit medical negligence. Dr. DePaz at FCPP misdiagnosed me with hypothyroidism. After nearly murdering me with levothyroxine, DePaz sent me to Bassi. She immediately stated upon looking at me,"You've been misdiagnosed!!" She then refused to give an appointment again. Every doctor at this practice covered for Dr. DePaz who nearly killed me. I am 6'1". My weight went from 235lbs to 135lbs in months. I had seizures almost constantly. Dr. Bassi refused to ever speak to me again to cover for her friend. If you value the lives of your loved ones and your own life then stay away from this den of medical negligence. read more

My first appt with Dr Bassi was terrible. I'm not skinny. But I'm not gigantic either. But she still decided to give me a rude, demeaning version of the "fat talk" anyways. She said she just moved from FL, where all her patients were thin. And then she moved here, and everyone is so fat, "probably from all the beans and rice". Umm, what? She then proceeded to say she was going to prescribe me a medication so I "wouldn't eat". Nothing like "hey, let's send you to a dietician" or anything. Just insinuating that I must sit around and eat all day. And I wasn't there because of any of that. I was there because of severe thyroid disease! In later appts, she still acted rude, and treated me like my coming in was an annoying inconvenience for her. Long story short, this doctor is incredibly rude, dismissive, has a terrible bedside manner, and can be very demeaning. Id rather drive an hour away to see an endocrinologist than see this doctor ever again. read more

I have my Husband to Thank for this. I have been a patient of Dr Bassi since September of 2022. Originally, I wasn't supposed to have an appointment until Feb 2023. But the office called me & said they have a cancellation. I took the appointment & I was thankful I was finally getting a Dr who was willing to help me. first thing she said so you're here for hypothyroid & Diabetes. I said yes regarding the Thyroid issue. But I said Diabetes I don't think so. She asked me has your A1C ever been tested & I said not that I know of. She tested it promptly. She came back into the room Eyes wide & said you most certainly are a Diabetic, your A1C is 12.5 that is thru the roof only a little bit before stroke / heart attack level. So she prescribed medicine & of course insurance denies it because it's over $2000. for 30 Days. I wanted to cry. She sent in s prior authorization & then they covered the medicine with a respectable co-pay. I received the medication, I started taking the medicine & for 2 days I was soooo very ill all I did was vomit for 2 days. I ended up in the ICU for 5 days. She had no Idea that would happen so I don't blame her, it was an allergic reaction. But what ensued over the next 18 months of treatment. I explained to the Drs in the hospital that I can't swallow. Drs. cocked their heads & said what do you mean. I said I can't swallow & it causes me to throw up more. Turned out with all of the vomiting for 2 days my esophagus was ulcerated & shrank so small that I could no longer eat like a normal adult. My throat was the size of a toddlers'. I had to start seeing a gastroentologist so he can stretch it out. Put it this way it will never be normal again, I went to him for a year & 1/2 every 4 weeks. It is beyond repair. The only way I was able to eat was soup, liquid protein shakes & food cut up so small it was microscopic. I was put on Insulin shots in the morning, afternoon, evening. Checking my blood sugar up to 6 times a day. My new way of life was just that, New! I have to say the level of care that I received from all of the Drs was great!!! I thank God & am grateful for them. I have learned & worked really hard at getting my weight down & figuring out medicine that works. I was able to lower my A1C into pre diabetic range & no longer need Insulin. I only take a 1 x a week injection called mounjaro & my Thyroid medicine. Now Drs want me to take a STATIN drug & I will never be on board with that, I have heard horror stories about those. I'm working on getting that down in a more natural method better diet. So just know before you go slamming your Drs. into the ground just know they are there in your best interest. They have your health in mind. But you as a human should know what works for you & what doesn't. Have a conversation with your Dr & come up with a plan for treatment. If it doesn't work try something else until you find what works. read more

I'm so thankful and blessed to have her as my endocrinologist. She is very positive and put smile on your face every time you see her. She is just the best so far as I have the opportunity to change my doctor as much as I want if I don't like them but She is just great. read more

I see her because I havery all but 2 symptoms of hypothyroidism. She dismissed all symptoms because supposedly the bloodwork is fine. Then calls me obese, even though one sign of hypothyroidism is no6 being able to lose weight... read more

Dr. Bassi is an AWESOME Endocrinologist!!!!! I have been diabetic 20 years and without a doubt she is the BEST, friendliest, and most easy going & personable Endocrinologist I've ever received care from, and I've seen MANY. She is definitely my new favorite!!! Her staff is friendly, and my wait time was very short to be seen. Her nurse, CARMEN is awesome too!!! read more

Dr Bassi is a great Doctor !!!! I hope to have her for a very long time. She is very attentive. I have never waited very long in the waiting room and she always comes in very shortly after I am in the exam room. I have never felt better. She even consulted with my foot surgeon so he could understand how my Hashimotos might be affected when I had foot surgery. She is the best and she truly cares about her patients. read more

I am really impressed with Dr. Bassi. I am a registered nurse and have had thyroid issues for 25 years so I know the tests, exams, meds I need. I found her to very knowledgable and approachable. She is fast but so what? She asked all the pertinent questions, examined by neck, reviewed exams with me and answered questions. I am really pleased to have found a doctor who really knows how to manage thyroid issues! read more

I will never recommend this Dr Waited five mounts to see her she talked to me for maybe 10 minutes at most barely put her hands on me at all. She would cut me off when I was trying to talk to her then ordered a bunch of labs but didn't do a thyroid globulin level that I wanted did order a ultra sound tho. The main thing I told her with my family history everything comes back normal but we still have symptoms the the growths we get are too small to see but have major thyroid symptoms IE cancer.So here I'm two weeks later and no call on my test so I call talk with a receptionist have the Dr call me back the next day a nurse calls me to tell me that there is nothing on my test which I knew would be the case but hoping for some help on where to go for here because I'm clearly not feeling well with palpable swollen lymph nodes in my neck and other problems. But no nothing they can do for me and wont talk to me at all just go back to your GP that sent me there in the first place because she couldn't help me, that's just not acceptable to me I was clearly upset on the Phone IE crying not even a sorry I can I do anything to help or I can let the Dr know your concerns. I have worked in the medical field as a Veterinary nurse for many years I would never treat a animal or it's Owner in this way no compassion at all. read more
