He literally does it all (replacing toilets, replacing floors, treating the concrete, finding problem areas (mold) and replacing it, identify issues (wrong breakers placed in the house), painting rooms, replacing doors.. you name it and he can do it. What I appreciated the most about him is that he has strong communication, great work ethic and will get the job done no matter how long it takes. We had an issue or two with our ceiling fan after the project was done and he immediately came out to take a look - both at the fan and at the how it was wired (turns out it was the fan). He's definitely reliable and would take care of the job until the client is satisfied. His pricing is also very reasonable. I've only known him for three weeks and has already given him three projects. I'd definitely rely on Illia again in the future.

After getting quotes from four different contractors, we decided to go with Davis Home Services…read more There were several things that impressed me with Rob from the very start: he gave an excellent quote (and stayed within budget), he was always available via call or text and responded immediately, his work was similarly prompt, starting on the project within two days of my reaching out, he strikes me as a genuine, real person -- at no time did I feel like I was talking with just a contractor looking for cash; he was helpful and answered tons of questions, even ones unrelated to his project, and he did plenty of extra work to come up with quotes for various projects I was considering and was never annoyed if I didn't go with one. This was all just from the initial visit and follow-up messages. I hired his team to paint the interior of my house, replace three interior doors (one needing new framing), install one exterior door and frame, and handle a window project that needed sanding, scraping, sealing, and painting. Everything went extremely fast and the quality was excellent (even though I told him I wasn't looking for perfection). They said it would be no extra charge to move all the stuff around to complete the job -- and if you'd seen the disaster the kids' rooms were in, that was no small favor. His painter was kind, patient, and respectful, always asking permission to enter the master bedroom and doing various touch-ups free of charge. The entire job was completed in just three days. They kept the house looking clean even though they had to work in a messy space, and Rob had no problem with me putting sticky notes everywhere I wanted touch-ups done. What stood out to me most was Rob's transparency, the fairness of his pricing, and how genuine everyone on his team was. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results or the experience. I recently purchased a new flatscreen TV and for the first time in my life decided to utilize a…read morewall mounting scenario. Even though I viewed some tutorials on YouTube, I felt it to be appropriate to have a professional conduct both the installation of the wall mount and the hanging of the TV. I conducted a Google search and found South Charlotte Services with stellar reviews and photos of customer's end results. In viewing their website, I was very much impressed with their attention to detail and all of the services they offer. My scenario was pretty straight-forward: dry-wall with studs and an electrical outlet already high from the finished floor. But, they do offer other services for more complex scenarios. I also suggest calling them before you purchase your wall mount. I purchased one with my TV however they have others they prefer in stock relative to all types of installs and TVs and may be more affordable than others purchased online or at a retailer such as Best Buy or Walmart. After filling out their online form for a quote, I was furnished a proposal by end of business via text and email (NOTE: make sure you try and view it asap so the link doesn't expire). I was called and a time was set. They are pretty flexible but mornings are usually better so try and make yourself available. Their installer, John, showed up on time with all tools necessary (as well as a construction blanket for floor protection). He takes the handling of your TV device with caution and advises you throughout the process to make sure the TV is mounted to your liking and viewing preferences. Be advised to also have an area to lay your TV so he can install the back bracket. Before drilling, he performed a check of the surrounding walls to make sure he would be drilling into the correct spots (some DIY people or other installers may not bother to do this and it's possible it could compromise electric or gas lines; very important this is not ignored). Moreover, he keeps the area very clean by utilizing a shop vac throughout install. John was friendly, efficient, and effective. I highly recommend their services. The job took ~1hr to complete.
