I can't get into detail here. I think you'll understand after reading my recorded transcription of Rick, speaking softly over the gopher hole in my fiancée's yard: "I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for alfalfa, dandelions, or other garden crops - I can tell you we don't have any. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for gophers like you . . . ." Next I knew Rick sent ah, proof of, um, well . . . not life. If you're a gopher I'm just sayin'. Don't mess with Rick. read more

Rick delivered in his promise to get rid of the gopher tearing up our lawn. The job requires multiple visits and he was very professional from start to finish. Highly recommend. Side note ... when the gopher was caught, he texted to let us know and offered to send us a pic. I said, sure, send the pic. I wish I hadn't. read more

Rick's Gopher Service - Wildlife Control Near Me

Rick was great. Had a critter that was chewing up my lawn. The critter is ummm ..... no longer chewing up my lawn.

Rick is the best. Friendly, polite, professional, and most importantly he delivers RESULTS. Every other 5-star review on here is completely legitimate, this guy really does have the skills to pay the bills. Rick got rid of the gopher that has been plaguing me for years in only a couple days. He was straightforward and informative and did exactly what he said he would. I could go on and on but you get the point and all the other reviews here say the same thing. Just make the call, let him do his thing, and then come back here and leave him another good review like the rest of us, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Rick! read more

Another 5-star review. He came out quickly and gave me a thorough inspection for suspected gopher activity on my property. I feel so much better after his assessment and advice. And knowing I can call him back if/when needed to come handle any problems is a weight off my shoulders. Thank you, Rick! read more

Rick's Gopher Service exceeded my expectations! He set traps on Friday and by Monday the job was done--got the gopher on the first try. Rick was professional, reliable, and clearly knows what he's doing. He showed up on time, communicated well, and handled everything efficiently. It's hard to find someone this dependable--highly recommend! read more

Rick came out on a Wednesday, set traps, and had caught the gopher by Friday. What more could you ask for?

When someone tells you they can't help you because they'll just be taking your money and not be able to actually remedy the problem. This is someone that's genuinely interested in bringing a solution not just be paid and say sorry we tried. I hired someone's else and that's what they did lol. read more

Rick is amazing! He came immediately, and caught what he thought could be our only gopher before he left. When it become clear there was one more gopher he came right back and got that one immediately too. We are now gopher-less and the whole thing cost less than $500. Our neighbor shared that was much less than he was quoted by another company. read more

Rick is the absolute best! I messaged him about gophers in our backyard and he was out to check on them the next day. He checked everything thoroughly and told us exactly what needed to be done so there would be no surprises. He came back and set traps and returned later in the week. He cleaned everything up beautifully and knock on wood, we haven't had any issues. He was so incredibly kind and easy to work with and his price was extremely reasonable. I hope we don't have gophers again, but should that happen I am thrilled I'll get to work with Rick once again. read more

Amazing service. Rick explained exactly what he needed to do and how he needed to do it. Trapped the animals and removed them successfully with minimal damage to my property. I really appreciated his work. Thanks Rick! read more

Absolutely THE best! Very professional, got the job done and helped save my garden! 10000% recommendation.

So glad I called Rick. Gopher mounds started popping up in our backyard just as we were putting our house on the market. Terrible timing. I was worried that if I called a gopher removal company they would tear up my lawn, which is not what you want when trying to sell your house! With Rick I needn't have worried. He lifts up a section of grass, sticks the traps underneath, and replaces the piece of grass on top; You wouldn't even know the traps are there. He's also such a nice guy. Get him out at the first sign of an issue. Don't let it get out of hand. You'll be happy you made the call. read more

Does exactly what he says he will do. Placed traps underground at our West Hills home that cause no harm to our dogs. Comes back the next day and checks the traps. Sure enough, he caught the varmint that was tearing up our backyard. Any signs of a gopher infestation? Just call Rick. read more

Excellent customer service experience! Rick went above and beyond to help us out, and we are very appreciative of his work. We had a gopher in our backyard, and Rick resolved our problem within a day. He also did not take his payment until the work was done, which truly speaks of his great work ethic. Very courteous, considerate and thoughtful while doing his work, our highest recommendations for him. read more

Looks like I didn't have gophers but they helped me get what I needed for my yard anyway. Went above and beyond.

Don't waste your time with other methods for getting rid of Gophers (e.g sonar spikes, gopher repellent), just call Rick! Gave Rick a call and easily scheduled an appointment for our front lawn. He surveyed the gopher activity and told us what needed to be done. He quickly set up the traps, filled the other mounds, and 2 days later came back and caught the gopher in 1 try. Very knowledgeable, efficient, and very effective. He also was very kind and attentive in making sure the lawn as cleaned up as possible. Even gave us some top soil for when we reseed the affected areas. I highly recommend his service, you won't be disappointed. read more

I highly recommend Rick's gopher service , we had a gopher in front and back yard, they came out and two days later we were free of the gophers. Very professional and courteous. If you have any gopher problems make sure to give Rick a call. read more

It's a rare thing these days to find someone that is as honest as Rick. I called about a recent Gopher problem that I was having. He was very upfront about the challenging issues to overcome with my type of landscaping and didn't want to waste my time or money because of it. So he gave me some advice and I decided to try and tackle the situation myself. Rick called me back a few days later to see if I still wanted him to come out to look at the situation, but I actually made progress on my own and he was pleased that I was able to do it myself. I have no doubt this is the guy to call if you don't want to deal with humanely killing gophers yourself. I will be recommending him to friends and family going forward. Thanks again for your advice and honesty Rick! read more

Gophers sound cute but are a yard menace like no other. We learned that the hard way. We had a gopher going after our landscaping, threatening decades of growth and work. After considering doing something about it ourselves, which was likely to fail, we decided to find a professional and get rid of the gopher before we faced thousands in replacement costs. One call to Rick and within a few days the gopher was gone. He analyzed our particular yard and needs, carefully implemented his fool-proof system, and quickly and humanely dispatched the gopher before it destroyed our garden. Not only that, Rick gave us a lot of information about habits of gophers, the types of plantings that would be easiest to maintain, should gophers pop up in the future (hint: grass is easiest to heal), destroyed and carefully eliminated the subterranean tunnels the gophers excavated, and replaced all the disturbed soil and turf so the work is virtually undetectable. His rates are very reasonable and he charged us less in the end than expected. And, he gave me a hard copy receipt, which I appreciated. This is Rick's specialty, he's been doing this for 30+ years, clearly thoroughly informed and efficient, with professional tools. He is just a nice guy and a pleasure to deal with. On time, friendly, efficient and effective. What more could we ask? I told Rick, should we ever see that telltale mound of fresh soil on our property again, I will call him immediately so we can stop the problem before it gets out of hand as it almost did this time. Thank you again and again, Rick! read more

Rick came right away and set traps and the gopher was taken care of quickly! Very professional and would hire again.

I had a gopher tearing up my lawn and I called Rick and he came out on the same day. Really nice, knowledgeable and trustworthy guy. Gave me all the information I needed and he got rid of the gopher within a couple days. Highly recommend his service! Thank you! read more

Rick is a true expert! He is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, and a really great guy! We had a gopher terrorizing our yard and spent quite a bit of money on a different trapping service that was highly rated here on Yelp - they were completely ineffective over 6 trips to our property. It took Rick ONE visit to capture the critter. He made a few follow-up visits to make sure that everything was taken care of, and immediately answered any additional questions or concerns we had. He is completely trustworthy and his pricing is incredibly fair. Rick will be our go-to for any further gopher issues, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a quick resolution. Thanks, Rick! read more

Rick wast fast and honest I apparently no longer had gophers. He didn't charge to come out or take advantage of my lack of knowledge. Full explanation and so courteous. Very impressed. read more

If you are reading this because you suspect you have a gopher in your yard, don't worry- Rick is on the case! You won't find a nicer, more knowledgeable expert to help you solve your problem. Rick came out right away and although I had made the mistake of kicking the dirt back in the hole, he immediately told me he would put out a sprinkler which he provided! and told me to water for about 20 minutes for few days. I asked what he charged and he said, "No gopher, no charge" or words to that effect. He has come out two more times to check, and on a Sunday! So, nice guy, honest, knowledgeable and willing to share his knowledge. Still no gopher, but I know who to call when one does show up!!! read more

Rick gets them every time. He has kept them under control. No more torn up grass. Rick gets the job done every time.

I tried to set up a macabee trap to snare a gopher. The trap proved defective and I feared it would slice my finger off. Due to my poor health I decided to let an expert do the work. I left a message for Rick and he called back 40 minutes later. He came over the same afternoon and set traps. Two days later he came back and the gopher was deceased and in pieces. I am glad I did not have to do this task. Rick replaced and watered the lawn area he dug up. It looks like nothing happened in the area. Rick is a pleasant individual and a true professional at his job. I highly recommend him. read more

OMG what an amazing father and son team. Last week I noticed some holes and dirt in my front yard I knew it was a gopher, so I yelped and found Rick's Gopher Services, called them and they were at my house few hours later. I told them I had to call them back to schedule a day for them to come and put the traps. I ended up calling them back the next day and he told me they would be there on Saturday. Saturday they came by, the dad explained to me exactly what they were doing and once they were done putting the trap he said they will be back on Monday to see if they caught it. This morning they came by and checked all the traps and said the gopher was caught. I will definitely refer them to everyone, thank you again for everything. read more

I can't say enough good things about Rick and how he conducts his business. If you feel like Bill Murray in Caddyshack and gophers are literally laughing in your face as they do a dance in front of you, then you might need Rick. He's by far one of the most honest and calm people I've found that do this kind of thing. So honest actually he turned me onto a different kind of company and route for my issue. I had a real gopher problem, I almost dressed up like one to try to trick them. That's how desperate I got. But Rick walked me off that ledge and told me everything that was really happening and how they were magically multiplying. Anyway, what an honest and good guy. You won't be disappointed and you won't have to dress up like a gopher either! read more

Very friendly and honest guy. He figured out quick it wasn't gophers and declined the job and gave me advice for the other pest instead.

Rick was able to get rid of my Gopher problem over Father's Day weekend. He came by, gave me a fair price, and set traps on Friday (late afternoon). A gopher came to visit us the night before Mothers Day. It was about eight o'clock in the evening and as we walked up the path to the front door we saw a hole in the ground next to the path and it had dirt piled around it. I knew it had to be a gopher and I envisioned my entire front law full of holes. Sure enough, on Mothers Day there was another hole. On Monday I called Rick's Gopher Service and left a message. Within ten minutes Rick called me back and asked me to text him photos of the holes. Within an hour or so he called me again and said he could be at my house shortly. To me, Rick is a miracle worker. I won't tell you exactly what he did (no poison or bait), but when he left, the gopher was gone and he put my lawn back together like that critter had never even been here. He is so knowledgeable, efficient and such a nice guy. And he could have charged me twice as much as he did, but he didn't. If you see a gopher on your lawn, call Rick ASAP. He is amazing! We've lived on our home for over 30 years and the last couple of years we have had a serious problem with gophers. We've tried many different things. With that being said, I got online and found Rick's Gopher Service. I was very skeptical at first because some of the companies providing this kind of service were ineffective. I was very pleasantly surprised with not only Rick's professionalism, his knowledge about gopher removal, and just being a good guy. Rick came out and was able to trap and remove some of the biggest gophers I've ever seen! Rick is truly an expert and wonderful to work with. If they ever come back, we know who to call. Thanks very much Rick for your service. read more

Rick is an honest, responsive professional! We had a situation with a critter in our backyard, where we didn't know what it was. We thought may be a gopher, but Rick came out and helped assess everything. He eventually thought it was maybe a ground squirrel or a mole, and had great advice for how to fix it. He did not charge us for this visit or help, he was just really helpful and responsive and honest. I would highly recommend him. I love honest specialists like this who don't nickel and dime. I know who I will call next time I am dealing with some kind of ground critter! I will happily give him my business in the future. read more
