Now what do you think that would have cost at a dealer to repair???? Paul doesn't charge you for a fancy waiting room or loaner cars so he doesn't have to jack up prices. I left with a car now in safe operating condition and within my budget. $362.00 for all of it and friendly conversation as Paul is a race car enthusiast who races up in Loxley. I would not recommend this shop to anyone…read more I dealt with a guy named Chris, and my experience was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, I was extremely misled. I was told I would not be charged, for a quote. I was hit with an **$800 diagnostic fee**. To make matters worse, they had already been informed of the transmission issue beforehand due to me taking it to another mechanic shop and paying them $150 for a diagnosis. What really shocked me was learning that paying the $800 diagnostic fee **does not include reinstalling your transmission**. If they remove it for the diagnosis, they will not put it back in unless you pay even more. That was never made clear upfront. Chris was also incredibly rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful throughout the entire process. At one point, he even told me that I couldn't afford to fix my own car, which was completely inappropriate and uncalled for. Instead of treating customers with respect, he was hostile and dismissive to listening. My experience left me being taken advantage of and misled. Based on how I was treated, I will never recommend this business. If you're considering bringing your vehicle here, I strongly encourage you to ask for every charge and every part of the process in writing and don't sign anything he tries to force you to sign.
