The first time I visited Skycity Shopping Centre must have been in 2018. I was a huge fan of Happy…read moreLemon and the closest one to my home was here. Since then, this bubble tea franchise has shut down in the GTA. Chung Chun Rice Dog has taken over this spot. This change explains Skycity in a nutshell. There is a high concentration of bubble tea shops at Skycity. Competition is fierce. I was recently here, thinking that I should get some bubble tea. I actually couldn't decide because the selection was insane and proceeded with my errands instead... haha! I tend to visit Chatime the most here to get my bubble tea fix. Apart from an oversaturation of bubble tea stores, this place has a ton of food. I feel like it'll take me years to eat my way through this place. I recently visited Chung Chun and had an excellent experience. I love their Korean rice dogs and I'm thrilled that this location is a lot closer to me than heading over to North York to satisfy my cravings. My local Cheese Garden is here. I like that I can order online and drop by to pick up my goods. There are benches scattered around the plaza in case you are in a food coma after stuffing yourself to rest or take a nap. There is plenty of parking, although it does getting busy at night. Many eateries and bubble tea places open till 11:30 pm or midnight. There are other businesses, such as electronic stores, nail salons, and more. I have yet to make a dent in these categories here. The catch is that when you exit onto Midland, you can only turn right. Although it's convenient for me to turn left and head home, I don't mind cycling around the block to get home. It's safer considering how weird drivers can be around this area. One of these days, I will visit every bubble tea place here. The problem is that I have my usual places in Markham that it's tough to break decent habits. (342)

There is lots of outdoor parking (could get crowded), and a few benches to sit outdoors. During pandemic times, all food restaurants are takeout. Recently restaurants are allowed to serve food on an outdoor patio but not all restaurants made a patio. There is no general WiFi for the mall.

They kept the controllers behind a glass case. They had about 7 controllers and to my surprise, the controllers were kept in clear plastic bags! No original Sony packaging! I asked "I thought these were brand new?" The guy there says "these are what we call open-box items. The controllers were just removed from the PS4 system. But they have never been used." That was a total lie because I inspected all the controllers (2 silver, 1 blue, 4 black) and they all had scratches on them. Several of them even had the serial number sticker on the back removed or scratched off. I questioned him about that, and he said "well we've sold many of these and never had a problem". There was a second hand store across from them that I went to and they advised me that this Canadian Outlet Store was notorious for selling refurbished items. Don't trust this place! Tip: Get your TJX Style+ card or barcode scanned at the store to enter contests and more…read more The last time I visited this Winners was with my best friend over a decade ago, well before I knew that Yelp was a thing. This Winners was a shoe store (I'm thinking it was Globo) when this plaza first opened. I remember not enjoying my experience at this shoe store because there weren't any women's size 11 footwear to delight me. I am grateful for this Winners. I came here after work on a Thursday. I found a parking spot fairly close to the store and backed into it. I then walked in. I hit the jewellery section first. This store has a lot of fun pins. I loved the lobster and crab ones. The problem? I don't wear pins often. If I did, I would have bought them. This store had some great finds. I got a pair of tweezers with strawberries on them for $5. They work well! I liked the drinkware section. From glass tumblers to martini glasses, it has everything for everyone. The shoe section was fabulous. The women's size 11 section was amazing. I ended up getting a lightweight pair of Converse high-top sneakers with floral embroidery. They felt so good when I tried them on. I will say that putting away items needs help here. I had to move a stack of clothing on a bench so that I could sit down and try on the sneakers. I put them on the floor. Once I was done trying them on, I scooped up the pile of clothing and placed them bak on the bench. I was in the footwear section. Clothing shouldn't be there. The washrooms are at the back of the store. I didn't need to use the washroom, but it was good knowing its location. I also got a bag of Pur gum in grape. I like that this gum is sugar-free. I forget that the flavour dies fast. There wasn't a massive lineup at the checkout. I got a friendly man who scanned my Style+ card, followed by my items. I tapped my credit card to pay for my items. Done! He wished me a happy day. I reciprocated and left with my goods. I'm glad that I got to revisit this store. It's decent. I'd return again when I'm in the area. (195)

Winners is a large department store with brand name products at very decent prices. This store is…read morelocated at Town Centre Plaza. It's part of parent TJX Companies holding that also includes Marshalls & HomeSense so you might notice some similarities in how all these stores is layed out. Winners stores have brand name clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, fine jewellery, beauty products, and housewares. The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other Winners stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. My sweetie completed her professional browsing in under 25 minutes! She found a few things...but wanted more. Maybe next time...

Staff in the past let us come in first with the member's pass as they were parking and the member would come in with the app or credit card. It can take up to 30 minutes to find a spot! This time, they said no and told us to wait at the side. We just decided to leave. The parking situation is the store's problem, not the customer's, and having us waste that much time waiting is unreasonable. The food court line-up is also highly disorganized. Whatever you are craving, by the time it's your turn, you're so annoyed that you don't even want it anymore.
