The doctor, Ken Takesita was outstanding (although slightly inexperience with female urology) and…read moredeserves 4 stars. He went out of his way to help me and diagnose me including doing a cystoscopy without approval from my insurance and without charging me. I would have returned to him for further necessary visits, if it were not for the staff. The staff is enormously incompetent, disrespectful and rude. The staff clearly has their own thing going on where they enjoy toying with patients. I was in massive pain, (shaking and vomiting from the pain) and they created every kind of barrier that they could find to keep me from getting what I needed. Nurse Maria is so incompetent that she couldn't even complete an in-house urinalysis or get my urine sample to the labs properly. When we called to check on the status of my labs, she blamed the lab for her incompetence. When we asked for the lab's name and phone number, she refused to divulge the information and then diverted and deflected the conversation into insults. Nurse Maria said things to me like, "The doctor didn't say you have a UTI so I wouldn't take antibiotics if you don't have an infection." And, "Why would you ask for a lab to be done that based on your insurance you obviously can't afford to pay for?" Why did the doctor refer me to an I.D. specialist if I don't have an infection and prescribe antibiotic and give me a Rocephin shot? Why is she giving me instructions that the doctor did not tell her to give to me? Also, I never asked for a lab that I had to pay for; the doctor volunteered to send my sample in for a more sensitive lab test. But since she's too incompetent to collect urine properly and send it to the lab or even do an in-house urinalysis, it doesn't matter if I need to pay for it or not. I do not believe that she sent the urine to the labs. Yolanda, the Office Manager, kept telling us that she is too busy and down a person and have clinic and a number of other excuses as to why she couldn't send the referral immediately and that, "I will get to it when I get to it. Go to the ER if you're in pain." When I told her that she has no place giving me medical advice and that I've already been to the ER, she repeated, that's your choice, I will get to it when I get to it, maybe today, maybe Monday." She kept saying that maybe my primary care can get it faster. When I talked to my primary care, they said it had already been submitted three days prior by Mission Urology and that they are not the ones doing the referring so it is not them that submits it, it is the urologist referring so they submit it. It takes about 15 seconds to submit a referral, I've seen my other doctors do it. Nice games, nice run-around. Furthermore, I told Yolanda which I.D. doctor I wanted to see and tried to give her the contact information and she refused to put a doctor on the order and kept saying the insurance will choose a doctor for me. This is lie. I contacted my insurance company and told them what was happening, and they told me to call her back and insist she write the information on the request because that is not how things are done and if she still refuses, to file a grievance. Although I told her that I spoke with my insurance...and that all the other referrals that I have gotten have been done that way...she still refused to send it in with the proper information. Additionally, I left 3 messages for the doctor with Yolanda and never heard back from the doctor. I do not blame the doctor, as I'm sure that she never passed the messages along. I sent an email with some questions because I suspected as much, and her rude response is attached below. I can't remember the name of the other office member, but she was unapologetic and also making excuses. Too bad for the doctor, I believe he has no idea how manipulative and conniving his staff is. These are the types of people who steal personal information and embezzle from employers. I'm very concerned about them having access to my personal information.

They put a cathider bag on her and referred her to her physician. He then referred her to Southern California Urology Clinic on Magnolia Ave. Riverside. Each time I brought my mom into the clinic they stated they needed a urine sample and when I informed them she had a bag they acted surprised, no one reads medical charts? After several test she finally was seen by Doctor Ralph Highshaw and before examining her he stated the test revealed that she had a condition that sent the wrong brain waves to her bladder and she would have to wear a bag for the rest of her life. I then asked about the blood in her urine at the E.R. and he said really? He then examined her bladder and said there was a large tumor and said she would be scheduled fro some test before surgery. It has been over 3 months and no surgery. After numerious attempts to schedule surgery today I was informed that Dr. Highshaw has left this office and my mother will have to be referred to a different clinic. What kind of care and treatment is this? Staff who do not read medical charts and doctor who misdiagnosed my mothers tumor? She has been to the E.R. 3 times with bladder pain to change the bag and they had a hard time putting it in saying the tumor was giving them problems. I am sure it has grown, thanks Dr. Highshaw and clinic staff for putting my mothers life in jeopardy.

Dr. Benderev skill is so advanced he literally makes the procedure virtually painless, comfortable and he is hands down the most down to earth, professional and caring doctor I've ever met. Answered and covered any questions or concerns I had and it literally only took like 15 min from arriving to leaving. It's day two and just from icing consistently the first day, I already feel almost 100%, haven't needed any pain meds or anti-inflammatory. I will still stick to the post-vasectomy recovery recommendations with no strenuous activity for the week, just to be extra safe, but overall just super satisfied by my experience. It's so bad they would definitely fail an inspection and aren't even trying to abide by the requirements set by the health department and state mandates. My first and last appointment as a new patient . I do not like to fill out really anything electronically So, instead I showed up early enough to fill out the new patient packet in paper form. . At the front desk I signed myself in and waited to check in. The receptionist kept her head down choosing to ignore me for a few minutes at least, and when she finally decided to acknowledge me she asked me "what do you need?" "Did you put your name down?" "Did you fill out the paperwork online?" . I told her no and requested paper edition packet. She stated " we do them electronically" and proceeded to tell me what I NEEDED TO DO! I answered No and requested AGAIN paper form and explained how I do not want to use the online forms. She said "so you want the real paper the old fashion way" she gave me so much attitude and huffed as if I was causing her an inconvenience. I presented her with my insurance and ID along with the completed forms and she told me "sit down and we'll call you". The crowd started to come and fill the lobby they were called even though i was there before any of them. The second wave of patients came in filled the lobby and there I am still waiting and there she is continuing to call everyone else. . I had to go up 3 times to ask when I was going to be seen. She had me waiting for nearly two hours prior to receiving any kind of service and care. And yes this behavior was intentional and very obvious. Each time she told me " you are next" "there's one more person in front of you" "we are busy" "all the rooms are full" the dr is with other patients". When I was finally called back I was told to urinate in a cup without any explanation as to why and what for. No vitals were taken. I Was placed in a room and she just walked out. No greeting, nothing. As I'm once again waiting finally a female walks in with a nasty attitude, highly agitated, and an unnecessary chip on her shoulder. She was completely unprofessional. No greeting, no introduction, no explanation whatsoever. She never provided me with her name and title. She stated "did you already urinate?" "Lay down and pull your pants down" she legit gave me a piece of paper towel to tuck in my pants. I had to ask her for her name, what test she's performing and the reason. I asked if she were an ultrasound tech. Which she isn't. Her answers were the bare minimum. Blunt and short. Without any concern or empathy. Her facial expressions, tone, and annoyance and Her Lowest of the low bed side manner and overall demeanor conveyed her strong dislike for me as well as her job. She did not ask for my consent when demanded that I pull my pants down nor for the testing. She wasn't wearing any gloves. The equipment used weren't wiped down clean if front of me an or have any protective coverings. After completing the bladder ultrasound she told me "wipe your self off with the paper towel" and straight up walked out. No one in this office wears name tags with their position and everyone lacks communication and common courtesy. The staff are being aloud to conduct themselves in such an unprofessional and inappropriate way. The Dr wasn't all that bad. However, he wanted to proceed with unnecessary procedures without any pain management intervention, without Anastasia and in a non-sterile environment. After establishing care with this physician I went back to the Front desk I was standing there for at least 5 minutes. The same receptionist ignored me. She stood up and started talking to the other female employee that conducted my bladder ultrasound. I overheard their conversation which so happened to be right in front of me; "she's standing right there staring at us" "who? Which one?" "The one from earlier I was telling you about" "what does she want?!" "I don't know" "is she still standing there?" "What is she doing?" "Just standing there looking at you" "oh gawd I don't want to deal with her" "I'm just gonna ignore her". I was reasonably pissed and sternly initiated a conversation requesting service. She argued with me and threw another tantrum about providing copies of signed consent forms and contracts. These staff members create a hostile environment. Being very argumentative and combative. Presenting an absurd amount of arrogance. Inhibiting patient rights, and conducting bigotry. I do not recommend this office or this medical group whatsoever. Please review pictures provided.
