I paid him over $400 to hang the two fans which are still not connected . The last time we texted he said he would come the next day to hang the one fan but he refused to do anything with the other fan that might be burnt up due to a previous person using the wrong wires . I figured one fan would be better than no fan in the meantime I ordered a new fan just in case but he said he would not be hanging that fan . Not only did he not show up I never heard from him again . I paid over $400 and I am no better off than I was before . I'm probably going to have to pay the same amount again to have the fans actually connected. I do not recommend his service . I feel like if the job was something he could not do or could not finish then he should have not charged me or at least given a partial credit so I could pay someone else to come out and finish the job . My ordeal started with Scott quoting some HVAC and plumbing work at my Rock Spring home. He provided a quote which I agreed to and I paid him a $650 deposit. I was not ready for the work to be done immediately and we managed to schedule a date a few weeks after the initial visit to complete the work. In this time frame, Scott informed me that the parts were more expensive than he anticipated, so I foolishly sent him and additional $208 to cover components for my job. This is where my nightmare started. Scott cancelled the first scheduled work day because his van was reportedly in the shop getting repairs. We rescheduled for a few days out and another emergency came up that prevented the work from being completed. This pattern of scheduling the work and him cancelling for some reason repeated over and over. The excuses included: other jobs going long, illness, other emergencies, confusing the day, needing a day to lay in bed, a "forrest fire to deal with", unexpected family visits, etc. After over 3 weeks of continual cancellations, I became frustrated and told him that I did not want him to complete the work and that I wanted a refund. At this point, I learned why the work was not being completed. Turns out, some of the $850 I sent was used for unrelated expenses. Some of the money was reportedly spent on HVAC vents for my job but he "had to use the vents in an emergency situation, to stick under tires when stuck in the mud." He also revealed that he didn't even have the tools required to complete my job. Lastly, he offered a refund, but I have not seen any of my money back yet. I have filed a payment dispute and will try to recover however possible. Through this, he had the audacity to request that I not post a negative review or he would "sue you for the full deposit and every nickle I can get." and "Since I am biting the bullet here and taking the loss, can we keep this between us and keep out of reviews that could potentially hurt my business please?". Unfortunately, I feel obligated to inform others so that they do not potentially put themselves through the same disaster that I did. I have added direct quotes from text messages because this business may try to spin this as some scheduling failure on my part or that I was difficult to work with. In reality, this individual continually exhibited a lack of professionalism and transparency while taking advantage of someone who was willing to front the cost of material.
