Jason came to my house to put a no freeze hose bib. I have copper throughout my house. I was charged $275.00. When he came he did not have the right material and had to leave and come two days later. There was no leak or broken pipe, I just wanted to be proactive before winter set in. He cut the copper pipe and put PEX plastic pipe without even letting me know or asking if that was okay. He wasn't even going to patch or caulk the whole where the hose bib came out of the house. I had to ask him and provide the caulking because he had none. His attitude was as if this was such a difficult job and seemed to be always in a hurry. He cut and took with him over 3 feet of copper off my existing pipe. He left me with about a 3 foot piece of PEX. Called him about it after I saw this and he was very nonchalant about it saying that this is how he does it. He said all plumbers do it that way. That is not true because the year before I had my other hose bib done and they put the hose bib on my existing copper. I will never use this plumber again. This work was done November 2025. I live on Signal Mountain. I am a senior women living by myself and I feel he took advantage of that situation. Never again!!!! This is Jason's response to me! Thanks no actually I had the right parts it was broken when I bought it. I tried to help you it took me 2 trips from ga. Some jobs are not worth doing this seems to one of them. Thanks for trying to take food out of my family's mouth by leaving me a bad review. Everything was hooked up properly and professionally. You communicated nothing to me. You did not have the proper tools because the hose bib you had before you left the first time was copper. So I thought like any normal person that you were using copper. No you did not have any caulking or any other product to seal around the hose bib. Rather than double down on your so call great work, you should just fix what you messed up. I am a senior women and you took full advantage. Jason H. lol you are crazy No, I'm not crazy. The truth is the truth. You knew what you were doing. You said nothing to me. You didn't ask if it was okay to put plastic in place of copper. You took over a 3 foot piece of copper with you. You calling me crazy and resorting to name calling says everything about your character. I'm not taking food out of your family's mouth. You are, by the work that you performed at my house. Another character flaw is blaming others for what you yourself caused. Your location says you are in Chattanooga. If I had known you were from Georgia, I would have called someone else. The least you can do is give me my money back so I can have my copper pipe and hose bib replaced properly by a plumber who knows how to work with copper.

I'm sorry you were disappointed in the propex that I installed at your house. If you will ask anyone they will tell you that propex is what every plumber uses in 2025. I also thought you called me to do this job. I did not know I need your approval on what material that I used. If you remember I built everything in your front yard with you watching every move I made. So I don't know why your saying you did not know I was using propex. The parts were around $100 for the 3 fittings and the frost free hose bib. To correct you I did have the right parts to install when I arrived, but hose bib I had purchased was faulty and did not have a vacuum breaker out of the box. So I had to come back another day because of how far away your house is. So let's make this is clear...You live on the back side of signal mountain around 50 minutes away from my house. Also I don't silicone my hose bibs, but in your case your foundation was crumbling on the old structure. I couldn't get a tap con to take due to your block falling apart... So yes I did not have a tube of silicone on my van at the time of this job. You said I took full advantage of the elderly. Also I had to move multiple items that you had stored that were in the way and you were right there shutting and locking the door on your make shift garage. So you were present at the time and make it sound like I did things with out your knowledge. You followed me around the majority of the time. I only charged you $275 and the parts were $100. Plus the gas I used. Seems you were just looking for a plumbing company that does not charge. You called me 2 days ago and I asked you if you wanted me to change hose bibs supply line back to copper you said no. I really don't know much more I could have done to help you on this. But instead you come on here making false accusations that I took advantage of you and make it seem like I'm some backyard plumber that doesn't know what I'm doing. You waited over a month to start all this drama instead of calling me if you had an issue with the work I did. Seems to me like you just wanted free work done and that's not how it works.
