We made an appointment and someone came out and took measurements. We haven't heard back from them at all.

Thanks Richter Fence! We had our RV gate and side of the house gate redone. I will have to say, Jose and his team were on time and quality was A+. I did shop for other quotes and they came in the best bang for the buck. I will include some pictures with this review. I highly recommend this company for your future fencing jobs. I will definitely call again when the need arises but I will call them for the other fencing jobs on my property and I know my new fencing /gate will last for a long time... Sincerely, HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!! read more

Richter Fence - RV double gate/Metal post and metal framing - Fences & Gates Near Me - Ripon, California

The quote I got for my fence repair was reasonable and the work was done very professionally and good. It was a pleasure to work with Joshua and would highly recommend his services. read more

Need a new fence? Move on.... This company apparently has too much work and can't be bothered to call you back. read more

We had Richter Fence replace a fence on 3 sides of our property. Jose, who provided the bid proposal was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The workers, 2 of them the first day and 3 the second day, quickly demolished and removed our existing fence. Jose estimated this big project would take 3 days. I honestly thought it would take longer but I was pleasantly surprised that the entire rebuild took them only 2 days. We are very pleased with the results. read more

Josh and his team installed my front gate To my front yard patio this past summer. They did a remarkable job and fixed my issues I was having with the original gate that my Dad and I built ourselves. They installed the metal posts with ease on day one and then built the gate the following day. They even installed my gate latch that locks and unlocks from my in-home monitor to the gate! After a few months I noticed that the gate wasn't closing as well in fact it was getting stuck as it looked like the gate frame was running into the post, preventing my gate from unlocking and locking properly. I reached back out to Josh on his IG and he got back to me within minutes! He was able to schedule an appoint the very next day. He came earlier than expected but I didn't mind since I schedule another appointment right after. By the time I got ready for the day, he had already fixed the issue saying some of my wood slats were too long so he trimmed those and he tightened the door frame up. The gate opens and closes like butter now. Took him a mere 20-30 minutes! And he didn't even charge me for the visit! I really appreciated that. Thank you Josh!!! I am very pleased with your service! read more

We had them build a fence almost 300 feet long with 6 inch posts 5 or 6 years ago. So far 12 of the treated posts have rotted out and need replacement. Did not expect replacements to be fee but did think some help from them. Got non. They say the fence should last 20 years but they only warrantie it for 1 on workmanship and 2 for materials. The treated posts should last more than 5 years. How many more will need replacement in the comming years. What help whould we get from their suppliers for what seems to be a bad batch. No help offered. read more

They did a great job but I never received the receipt......so I guess the work isn't warrantied.

It saddens me to even post this and if I could, I'd like to give them a real review based on their actual work. I've contacted them and when they finally messaged back, we had to work out a schedule for Josh to come by and take a look at what I'd like to get done. Well decided that he can stop by on a certain day and all I had to do was leave my gates unlocked. Silly me to believe someone!! He said that he would email me the quote. I came home and was looking froward from hearing from him. It's been over a week now and I've messaged about 3 more times which made me seem like that annoying girlfriend that some of you lucky guys may have had. Still..... no response! So Josh if you're reading this, i know what it's like to run a proper business. I guess you're really selective on who you want to reply to and even more selective with who you want to give an estimate for. I wish I had considered those other yelpers' reviews because it would've saved me some time. read more

My fence is falling apart and my friend referred me to this company. I called and he told me to send him pictures for a quote so I did. He asked what I wanted then didnt respond. I sent a follow up message and still nothing. Awful customer service. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. I scheduled an appt for an estimate with Josh. I took off work to meet him on the day and time he selected. 30 minutes after our scheduled time he had not shown up nor called. I guess he has more business then he can handle. So if you are looking for a company that values customer service this one is not for you. 8/4/2017.....So I hung in there with Josh and Richter Fence. They just completed 47 feet of new fence for me. Looks great and I can't believe how quickly it went up. Two workers showed up at 8:30am and had to remove trumpet vine off the fence plus remove the existing fence and build the new fence. By 12:30pm they were done and leaving. Remarkable! read more

They came out to and told me they would email me the quote the next day. Never happened. I called, texted and nothing. I guess they don't need business. Don't bother calling them. read more

I regret to let people know that my experience as well was horrible. Had an appt scheduled for today 9:00am and there was a no show. No call no nothing. That is just bad business. I called another gentleman and he quoted me on the spot and is going to do the job for the fencing. I find it hard to believe you can stay in business throwing away $10,000 jobs. Your loss is my gain. The guy that supposed o show up was named Dean as well read more

I want to start by saying I am happy with my fence, the two guys that put it up were quick and tidy. One of them even put my garden garbage bin out for me. My issue is with the owner, who was surly and nasty with me and charged me for work not done. When I mentioned he almost yelled at me. I would not recommend the company based on it's owner. read more

Our back fence is shared with two neighbors, so it presented a particular challenge for us to get done (having everyone agree to a price, time frame, etc.). I got a recommendation from Richter Fencing from a Mountain House Facebook group I belong to even though I live in Tracy. My husband called and worked with Larry to figure everything out. The quote was very reasonable. We agreed to go with Richter. Larry set us up with a time that worked with us, even though it was getting close to the holidays. My husband took the day off of work figuring he'd have to be around all day for the work to be done. The Richter crew came in and demolished our sorry excuse for a fence in about an hour. Pretty soon they were putting up the brand new, redwood fence. My husband sent me photos of the work being done because I was at a work conference in Sacramento. At noon he sent me a final photo that said: "Done!" It took the Richter crew less than four hours to replace a 75-foot fence shared between three neighbors. Our neighbors were so impressed they called Richter to do another side of their fence. After staring at a broken down, beat up fence for more than three years since we bought our house, it was nice to come home to a beautiful new fence. We've since sealed it with redwood seal. The workmanship is high quality. The price was right. And the Ritcher team did an excellent job making it all happen. We HIGHLY recommend Richter Fence. read more

Josh and the guys did an amazing job on my new fence and drive through gate. He returned my call the same day. Came the next day for a quote and stuck to it to the penny. They are very busy because they are so good, so it took a few weeks for them to get to me. But when they came they were in and out in half a day. The fence was perfect and they cleaned up everything. Josh even took away a pile of branches of been trying to feed in to the compost can. What a great guy! read more

Just did a good neighbor fence, double gate and side gate did a good job would recommend them.

Dean was so easy to work with as he provided a quick and competitive quote. We couldn't be any more pleased with our new fence. His crew were true craftsmen who take pride in their work. They also left the site spotless and no damage to plants. We will definitely tell our friends about Richter fence. We will also use you in the future for our back fence when we decide to replace it. read more

Josh was a no show on the date the job was supposed to start! I understand that it was raining around that time so we might need to reschedule but he never called to give me a heads up or to reschedule. I called, texted, AND emailed Josh the day before and day of the appointment with NO response. Not very professional. Very disappointed that I have to start from ground zero now after waiting patiently for two months for him to start the job. read more

This is not based on there quality of fence how ever I had them come out for a quote he said he'd email me the quote by noon he never did I left emails voicemail and still has not got back to me. If you felt the job was not worth ur time that all You had to say pretty sad if this is how u run ur business I don't not recommend calling them out. It's all about the money not fixing people's fence. read more

Josh came out to give me a quote on my fence. Never heard back from him. I left two voicemails. Called 5 times. And texted twice. Guess I will have to hire a more responsive person. Nice guy. But family and friends, Don't waste your time. read more

My neighbor and I agreed on a fence and I hired Richter. Josh was great to work with and even did some additional work for my neighbor as his property extends beyond mine. Did a great job on my fence and charged a reasonable fee. I recommend using them if you need something done with your fence

Fence blew down in a storm, so we called Richter for a bid. Got voicemail telling us to call another cell-phone. Called that cell-phone and was told that they were booked for a week out, so we scheduled a bid the following week. They never showed up, and no one called to reschedule. read more

We just love our new fence and custom RV gate. They work in conjunction with our cement folks who poured our pad. The workmanship is high quality. Workmen were professional and the job was completed in a timely fashion. I highly recommend this company. read more

Sadly, I tried to get this company out (on a referral) and I was told 3 times someone would drop by my place. No one came. I was told a proposal was in the works. I never received a proposal. I have tried to contact the company, but nothing!!! Be cautious. read more

Great customer service! I can't sing their praises enough. Our fence blew down last Friday and we backup to an almond orchard. I called Joshua and he came out on Saturday to put up a temporary fence because I was nervous about our pool in the backyard. He sent us a quote later that afternoon and today (6 days later) he was able to get the fence up. They were fast and their work looks great! read more

Richter Fence did a great job. Their estimator Jose was on time for appointments, quick to respond to my follow-on inquiries and sent a great work crew to complete the installation of my new gate. Left a message to get an estimate. Got a call back from Jose the same day and went out of his way to check out my place within two hours, as that was the only time I was available. He gave great suggestions at what needed to be done and what other options I had. Communication was the key and Jose was great at it throughout the entire process. The pricing was pretty competitive with other fence companies. He sent a team of two guys and finished a big job within a day and half. I never got their names but salute to them for being hardworking, friendly and professional. read more

Contracted them to put in a new fence and four gates at my house. The work was done quickly and the communication with Josh was seamless regarding changes. I called for a quote, a nice young man "Dean" came out to see the gate I needed made. He measured and said he would post the quote that evening on my email. The email never showed up! He had given me his card, so I called him to check on things. I left a message, and over the next week and a half, I left 4 more messages. He never called back: no quote (estimate) either. My guess is that the job was to small. I don't like being treated like that. This company was suggested by Home Advisor. They need to think again about using this company. read more

I would not even waste your time calling Josh for a quote. He came to my house and gave me a quote for a small fence about 15 feet long made from wood with steel posts for 1,500.00 the first part of September 2017. I signed the contract and Josh said it would be the end of October before he could schedule the work. When he never called I started calling him to only find out his voicemail box was full for weeks, then finally he answered his phone and scheduled the work on Saturday November 18th at 08:00 since he said it would only take half a day to complete. Then on that date at 07:30 he called and said he did not have the metal posts for the job and said it would be a two day job due to having to have the posts to set and we don't work on Sundays. We told him forget about doing the job for us! He is should have just gone to Home Depot to get the posts if it was true he did not have them or not lie to a potential customer. read more
