I took 8-9 lessons with Dagan from Ladner Driving School and my experience was awful…read more From my first lesson, Dagan was cold, unfriendly and miserable. Despite being a paying customer, it felt like her teaching me was an inconvenience. Dagan's teaching style was critical and demotivating. She often gave vague instruction and then criticized me when a simple mistake was made or question was asked. Dagan made phone calls during my lessons and, a couple times, she ended our lesson 5-7 minutes early. On two occasions, Dagan had to reschedule my lesson one day in advance stating "I need to change your lesson time" without any apology or reason. Dagan did not explain what to expect on my class 7N road test or elaborate on the crucial pieces of information needed to pass. She suggested I practice driving in the area where the road test is completed prior to taking it, yet when I asked what the route of the road test was, she said she couldn't tell me as if it was a secret. The approximate route is easily found with a quick google search. Even at $60/hour, I would not recommend this driving school and advise others to save their time, energy and money.

After the first driving lesson, I immediately felt more confident and was able to park amazingly. Mike taught me many tricks that helped my driving exponentially. He is a calm presence in the vehicle and provides helpful directions when required. One thing I found particularly helpful was Mike was also commutative and chatty. He taught me how to drive while talking with someone. This has been a critical skill now that I am N driver. When I drive my friend I am chatting so learning how to handle talking and driving as been extremely helpful. Lastly, he took me on routes that had tricky intersections so I would always feel comfortable no matter the route and or road conditions. He is just amazing! I would 100% recommend!
