I don't enjoy going to Chiropractors bc they always want me on some health plan and let's do this micro adjustment today and in a year you'll feel better if you come see me 10x a week forever etc. this is not that- you lay on a warming bed to loosen you up, he asks you what's wrong and you go from there, it's a good adjustment that feels personalized and I'm left feeling heard and more importantly feeling better. Now he does say come back next week sometimes depending on what's bothering me but they don't pressure me. It looks like a hole in the wall place, the atmosphere is small fam, but he has the bells and whistles and will give you what you ask for without shoving "upgrades" down your throat. I scandalously take the elevator down, avoiding the disapproving looks from athletic, fit people. I power up my little diesel tank of sophisticated German engineering, and leave a cloud of VW emissions in my wake...with only one destination in mind: Morehead City Chiropractic. I limp in, every step delivering swift impact. Dr. Joshua Race...I can see him walking up in my peripheral, but alas, I can't look at him. My neck is anchored in a fixed side angle, reminiscent of stereotypical zombie posture. I have no appointment, I'm not even a patient here. True to his surname, I am swiftly escorted to the TENs unit after 5 minutes of torturous health history and personal questionnaire. I must really be wounded.... I love writing about myself. The electricity runs through my nerve strands, halting the pain signals. Relief! I'm relaxed by tranquil beach scenes splashed upon the ceiling. I'm more into mountains, but whatever. Dr. Race, AKA Spine Whisperer, then leads me to the daunting adjustment table. The contracture of muscle despair is targeted with deep pressure, my chaotic spine realigned. I love how considerate they were of my time as there were only one chiropractor there. I was a walk in and first time sessions take a little longer due to paperwork. I made an appointment there and was given the option to fill paperwork at home and bring it back during my appointment. A few minutes later after having a phone call in my car, the receptionist comes outside the door to ask if I want to be seen now due to another appointment cancellation. Awesome customer service!! She handed me a tablet to fill my info while explaining to me more about the clinic. She mentioned this place is more for wellness and not to fix severe issues from car accidents. This was totally fine with me as I only needed an adjustment due to the slight curvature in my spine. The back of the clinic has an open layout with adjustment beds lined in a row. People can scan their key card and go in the back to wait for a chiro. There's monthly plans where you can go 4x a month and package plans which are more flexible for your schedule. They have a fast walk in system due to the adjustments being very quick. The chiro did a very great job adjusting me as I felt no pain during and after.
