Dr. Bercot and his staff are incredibly helpful and I am happy to have found them!…read more I appreciate Dr. Bercot's kind bedside manner - he is easy to communicate with. One of my first meetings with Dr. Bercot, he pointed out the positives of the situation I was dealing with - which often times are overlooked and people focus solely on the negatives. I always end our appointments feeling heard and on a positive note. His staff is always reachable via email and phone whenever I've had a question about medication. I cannot recommend Dr. Bercot enough. I too found him a few years ago via Yelp and the rest has been history!

One aspect of the office that always stood out to me was the encouragement board. I have a few little notes written anonymously hidden in slots of my wallet. Every so often one will fall out, or I'll stumble upon them. They are nice little refreshers. To the staff, all of you were very attentive and kind. I personally saw Cynthia, and Mo on my initial visit. They are thorough and patient. They don't make you feel different. They aren't pushy, they aren't judgmental. I felt understood and most importantly - safe. Thank you to the staff of Creekside, including Chris, and Monica. I'm sad I'm leaving this practice, but appreciative of the professionalism and unwavering kindness.

DO NOT GO HERE! my therapist recommended I come here for medication management after a diagnosis…read moreshe gave me. Firstly, it took 3 calls here to get someone to call me back. Then the first appointment I HAD to have was an intake with one of their therapist even tho I have my own. Then it took EIGHT weeks to see a psychiatrist Jessica Reiss who then also needed her own intake appointment which took an hour and a half. She not only clearly didn't believe me but also was condescending in her tone when asking about diet. I have lost 110 pounds and told her prior to asking about diet that I am a CPT and nutrition coach- she then asks "but do you follow it"... excuse me? DO YOU MAAM? Not only does she not take my therapist diagnosis but she makes me jump through hoops and turns me in to side show Bob requesting a questionnaire from my mother and a FRIEND be filled out THEN TWO WEEKS LATER an in office visit for her to take my blood pressure.... To "confirm diagnosis". Why is it that I need to jump through hoops when I've established a relationship with my own therapist. Why can't you do your job and make an assessment like all the other psychiatrist do? Nope.... This place is a joke and they make you coke back for as many visits as possible. Do not come here. Literally would rather never seek therapy again and won't. I'm done with shrinks. Y'all are the same. GATEKEEPING access to necessary medication is disgusting. I have NEVER sought out medication until this diagnosis before.... I've always turned down meds. ALWAYS! Imagine... finally wanting to get help and being met with roadblocks by YT women. Big shocker. Medical gatekeeping..... makes me wonder if this office is racist.

Would not recommend; intake process is not done securely (paperwork includes PII/PHI/credit card…read moreinfo and other sensitive info) and is sent over regular email which is not acceptable as it puts all the security risk on the patient. Also, they charge $100+ if you do not cancel within 48 hours BUT they can't seem to keep track of appointments and do not respond to emails to confirm. However, they will take that $100 fee anyway. Feel like a number instead of a human being. Sloppy experience overall.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH Dr. Roper ‼ I was supposed to share this weeks ago when it happened so no…read moreone else would have to experience this especially if you're planning a home birth in Denver. My husband & I have been trying to put together a team of OB/doula/midwife for the home birth of our first baby. We found an amazing Ethiopian doula here in Denver at around 8 weeks & finally found a midwife we adore a few weeks ago. In between us meeting and hiring our doula & midwife, we scheduled an OB appointment, you know, just to see who all is out there. We scheduled an appointment with an OBGYN who I had seen was recommended in several FB groups for parents wanting black birthing professionals. The only red flag was that a few ppl said that the doctor was very judgmental...still excited for the appointment nonetheless. She was so booked up that we only got to see her at our 13 week visit because someone canceled. When I tell you that THAT was the worst doctor experience of my life. First off, she was dismissive of our questions & commentary. Her phone kept ringing, at least 3 times during the appointment & she answered it each time without so much as an excuse me. She rushed thru the ultrasound so we couldn't get a clear picture of the baby. MIND YOU, Before going into our appointment, I already knew not to share that we were planning a home birth. First because I've worked in a hospital before & second, that red flag I mentioned from earlier. My husband made the mistake of asking if we should still see her AND our midwife if we're planning a home birth. BAYBEH, she went left. Talking down on home births & how she'd never recommend anyone give birth at home & how she'd be so pissed if her husband or any of her kids even suggested it. Didn't give any facts, stats, or statistics, just her personal take on home births. Big turn off for me. Then she locked eyes with me & goes "I'd flip if my husband even suggested a home birth" as if to shift the blame to my husband & make him out to be some kind of caveman forcing me to birth at home. THEN to add insult to injury, we were supposed to do genetic testing that day. They even made SURE that I spent an hour plus on the phone with insurance to make sure the test was covered. Just for them to send us to the wrong lab where we waited for 40 minutes before they called us to come back to the office. The nurse was very sweet, but she stuck me 4 times, spilled some of my blood. JUST for us to receive an email a week later saying we needed to come in for a redraw because there wasn't enough blood sample. Long story short, my husband wouldn't start the car & leave after until I cried & vented cuz he knew how pissed I was. Thankfully, never going back. The rest of her staff were sweet, it was really just her

She has always been very responsive to my panicked calls (when is it not an urgent call, when your tiny baby is sick, even if it's "normal"?) She has also welcomed my questions/hesitations when it comes to some Western medicine norms, and she always offers holistic and research-based advice/thoughts/diagnoses. She even met me on a Saturday (not office hours) to give my girl the last of her three-day antibiotic shots for an ugly ear infection. Personally, she diagnosed and has helped treat issues I've had for years -- that a counselor, midwife, dermatologist, and naturopath didn't catch. While it is a younger and smaller practice, I'm definitely willing to overlook a less-than-friendly receptionist who answered the phone a few times or confusion with paperwork. The care and professionalism we've received when it really counts is invaluable to me. Update (Feb 2018): she no longer has a frazzled receptionist. Leslie is always kind, warm, and welcoming! :)
