I've worked with several counselors here. They are great! Would recommend for individuals, couples and families.

They really helped. We tried telehealth therapy and our counselor was great-way better than the other company we tried.

I am in so much pain I am trying to figure out the best way to commit suicide. These entitled idiots have been highly judgmental, sexist and refused to talk to me because, in my extreme pain, I used a swear word. They would rather judge me than help. I definitely need to settle on which way I am going to kill myself.

Texted the number, got Miyah. Was looking for a mental crisis center to go to that was good, as I…read morenoticed they were all 1 and 2 stars on Yelp...typically means people are abused. She got me one near my house after telling me she wasn't sure of an intake process at these places and couldn't guarantee it wasn't an abusive or rapey place. Looked it up on Yelp, asked if there was another place. Said that was the only place. Seemed surprising so I asked, there isn't a place in Denver? She provided another place and then closed out the chat. That's what they do with suicidal people if you're looking for help. They close out the chat. Now that I see they're literally 1 star here as well, and this is the number Colorado state advertises everywhere, I can see why Columbine happened and it's been crazy here ever since. You don't do that to suicidal people. Don't call the number. It'll just make you feel more helpless. Also definitely don't go into an ER for a psych hold. They'll strip you down naked and put you in a padded room. It's the 1800s in CO, where mental health services are like a prison. Like lady, we weren't done. You make people want to kill themselves.

As a therapist, he is all these qualities and more as he truly has a genuine connection, dedication and drive to support his clients in their healing journey. Whoever Ryan has as clients are truly lucky; between his knowledge base, experience and overall supportive presence, he is a therapist I highly highly recommend.

JT is incredibly kind and well-intentioned, but the therapy felt one-dimensional. Sessions largely focused on validating feelings without providing structure, tools, challenge, or actionable guidance - all of which I repeatedly asked for. Given that this therapy was priced at the higher end of what we've seen, we expected a much deeper level of engagement and clinical depth. I consistently expressed that I did not feel understood, and that concern never felt meaningfully explored. The turning point came when JT continued asking the same questions and implied that I wasn't going deep enough. When I asked him to take a different approach and ask more thoughtful probing questions, he responded by asking me what I thought he should ask instead. That felt backwards. If he is the trained professional, I don't believe it should be my responsibility to determine how we get deeper in session. He also seemed dismissive of modalities like the Gottman Method and Nonviolent Communication, as well as the self-work I was doing independently. Despite repeatedly asking for homework or guidance between sessions, none was provided. We were looking for stronger direction and more skill-based, structured work, which is why we chose to move on. We're very happy with our new therapist, who also practices EFT but brings a broader, more versatile approach rather than relying on a singular method.

At first things were going well. I was impressed with their professionalism, their quality control,…read moretheir desire to ensure things were as they should be, their bedside manner, and the medicine they prescribed made sense intellectually. However, things gradually went downhill. My psychiatrist admitted she couldn't provide continuity of care but wanted to put me on meds anyways even though I said I couldn't do a followup until next month due to $900 of unexpected bills when I'm in Debtors Anonymous so she asked if I had insurance and if I wanted to go to a place that was not covered by my insurance instead but was a place for people on Medicaid, which I wasn't on. The psychiatrist asked for my labwork, and I asked why they had me fill out a form so they could talk with my PCP if they thought I owned a laboratory. My pharmacist said they didn't send over the prescription, which was prescribed before receiving a diagnosis. The psychiatrist company said it was because the new provider wanted to talk with me about my prescription before I was prescribed anything. I asked if it would be fine to take during Ramadan. The person who answered thought it was a drug. When I explained it was a fast, they thought it was one week and said to just stay hydrated. When I explained it was a dry fast they said just don't do it then. Then I was asked today's date (including year) while I was picking up groceries. Thank God it's not New Year's Day. When the prescription got to my pharmacist, with or without my new psychiatrist's approval, what should have been $10 was $55 with insurance. So then they transfered it to a store that was 7th away from me instead of choosing the store that would be the easiest for me to get to. I now need to call that store up to have it transferred. All in all I have received four voicemails, one text, and four calls (two during work and two during driving) since I was there because they didn't communicate with one another or did not understand boundaries. It left me physically exhausted because of all the task switching, which went way beyond my daily task switching limits. Of note, I visited their website later. They have about 16 clinics in six states. It's just what I suspected. This is a cash cow. That's why I have been given a prescription with a ton of potential side effects before being diagnosed by a psychiatrist that can't see me.

If you have other options, I would recommend you chose a different mental health provider. When I…read morefirst started with the Lakewood Serenity location a year and a half ago, it was GREAT!!
