JT is incredibly kind and well-intentioned, but the therapy felt one-dimensional. Sessions largely focused on validating feelings without providing structure, tools, challenge, or actionable guidance - all of which I repeatedly asked for. Given that this therapy was priced at the higher end of what we've seen, we expected a much deeper level of engagement and clinical depth. I consistently expressed that I did not feel understood, and that concern never felt meaningfully explored. The turning point came when JT continued asking the same questions and implied that I wasn't going deep enough. When I asked him to take a different approach and ask more thoughtful probing questions, he responded by asking me what I thought he should ask instead. That felt backwards. If he is the trained professional, I don't believe it should be my responsibility to determine how we get deeper in session. He also seemed dismissive of modalities like the Gottman Method and Nonviolent Communication, as well as the self-work I was doing independently. Despite repeatedly asking for homework or guidance between sessions, none was provided. We were looking for stronger direction and more skill-based, structured work, which is why we chose to move on. We're very happy with our new therapist, who also practices EFT but brings a broader, more versatile approach rather than relying on a singular method.

As cliché as it sounds, I can honestly say that working with Lindsay changed my life. Who am I…read morekidding? With the tools and insight she provided over our 18 months working together, she's continuing to change my life. I sought out counseling services when life felt unbearably bleak, difficult, and dark. I came in, grasping for control and hoping for a quick fix, which in hindsight is utterly laughable. I think if I knew how much baggage I needed to unpack and how much "inside" work it would take, I never would have begun the process, but with Lindsay's gentle and steadfast guidance, I was slowly but surely able to pull myself out of the weeds. With her help (and a lot of healthy work), I've found my voice and have begun to thrive in a visceral, sustainable and powerful manner- what a gift she has given me! Lindsay is thorough, receptive, non-judgmental, open to talking about therapy within therapy (so meta, I know), insightful, funny, wise, kind, gentle yet straightforward, and very easy to talk to. She questioned and helped me dig when I needed to be pushed and gave me space when she recognized that I needed to come to my own conclusions. The way she approaches counseling is thoughtful and intentional, but never calculated, which is invaluable. Overall, all I can say is this: Lindsay led me through a very challenging period of my life and for that I will forever be grateful. I've been through my fair share of counseling in the past with poor results- I'm so thankful for this positive experience to fall back on as needed. If you're feeling lost, trapped, stuck, like you're drowning...do yourself (and your loved ones!) a solid: go see Lindsay, commit to doing the work, and stick with it, even when it get's hard. People are messy, life is hard, but she's one of the great ones out there.

My biggest complaint is the scheduling system, more specifically rescheduling and cancellations. It is almost impossible to cancel an appointment or talk to an actual human on the phone. I had to cancel an appointment due to me of my children getting sick, I tried to cancel over the phone but was sent to a voicemail which I'm assuming they don't listen to. I was then considered a "no show" for the appointment I tried to cancel on the phone. They try and charge you $50 for that no show. The communication is a joke. Avoid.

Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out. Gave insurance. 4 hours before the appointment, voice mail was left stating there was an issue with my insurance. I was to bring $300. If I cancelled, there would be a $50 cancel fee. I left voice mail to cancel. I will be curious if they send me a bill for $50. Talk about INCOMPETENT BIZ. RUN RUN RUN AWAY from this biz. I have been a client of Estelle's since 2015 with some breaks during this time due to life changes. When I first began seeing Estelle, I saw her in person at her office which was comfortable. I no longer live in Colorado, so now Estelle and I meet virtually. I am on a very regular appointment schedule, however, she has always remained flexible when accommodating appointment changes. Estelle has and continues to work with me through a variety of issues (PTSD, queer relationships, grief with relationships ending, marriage, self-improvement, religious changes), and I never felt judged or treated differently. Instead, I've always felt extremely safe with Estelle no matter the topic. I easily can say that my life has been changed for the better by Estelle's presence. She celebrates with me when things are good, and provides light at the end of the tunnel when things are hard. She isn't clinical and dry. Estelle is warm, invested, and appropriately humorous. She truly wants to understand you, your quirks, and find a path towards healing at your pace. Her observations are given kindly and are explained well. I like that Estelle holds me accountable when I need to be held accountable. I plan to stay with Estelle for many years to come! She is my mentor for bettering myself, and a beacon of hope when things are heavy.

My meetings were via TeleHealth (some of this was still during Covid). Before some of my appointments, the virtual receptionist would say that "there may be an issue with your insurance"... I said ok, please have your people call me, and we'll work it out... "Can you pay $100 now?" "Sure", I'd say, and proceed with payment. Now, 3 1/2 years later, a guy drives by, drops a summons in my front yard, and drives off - says I owe MHP over $2,100.00?!? I repeatedly asked them to call me regarding any insurance issues - they didn't. Their own "Attendance Policy" states that "ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO YOUR NEXT APPOINTMENT". But, instead of calling me, they just kept scheduling me, and kept racking up my bill. MHP missed (didn't record) at least $300.00 in payments I made to them, and can't be bothered, or care enough, to call me back or make it right. Guess I have to go to court now. I'd stay away from this practice; they're shady, uncommunicative, and dishonest. Here's a link to their BBB page; their current score is a "D-". https://www.bbb.org/us/co/aurora/profile/therapy/mile-high-psychiatry-llc-1296-90259692/complaints I hope this helps someone else.

I saw them for years. A few days ago they told me they will…read moreno longer take my insurance out of the blue and that I have a 60 day discharge period to finalize everything with them... Meanwhile they also cancelled my next appointment well within that window and are treating me like it's effective immediately. I am so miffed that I am looking into the legality of how they've approached this. They stated it affects all Medicaid patients equally. However, I have other friends and family with the same insurance who haven't been given the same boot and cold treatment. On another review someone has a 90 day discharge period. I was given 60. Why is that? That's not equal. Why are they treating people with the same insurance differently? Anyway, I received solid care as a working disabled woman with PTSD and autism up until they decided I wasn't worth seeing, not even within their own discharge window. They're happy to charge your insurance until they can't- but if they can't, just know that you're not a person to these people and they will unceremoniously and randomly drop you for a dime. They are scumbags looking only for insurance providers they can overcharge. I will NEVER go here again regardless of what insurance I have in the future.
