They've done a lot of renovations to the library like adding more tables and chairs and changing…read morethe flooring. They also changed the opening hours to 24/5. I like studying on the lower level because people are allowed to talk there (I fall asleep when it's quiet), the chairs are comfy, it's bright, and there are toooons of electrical outlets. The bad thing about the library is that it's hard to find somewhere to study during peak hours and times. Also, it's always cold and the bathrooms really need to be updated. Everyone who works at the library is more than helpful. I am forever grateful for this girl who works at the front desk because the printers weren't printing, I had a paper due, and she printed it out for me free of charge. I got an A.

And I have lived in 6 states, visited several and been to plenty of libraries all over the place. My mouse for my laptop clicks so I don't want to use it, I'm sticking with the touch pad on my laptop. I am going to do everything in my power not to sneeze, cough or breathe too loud. I'm in libraries and coffee shops quite a lot and have grown accustomed to hearing children's chatter, music or phone conversations. Not here though, it's old school quiet like libraries of yesteryear. There is a large, wonderful area for children but on this side of the library you don't hear them. I love libraries this size. There are chairs, desks, tables, love seats, study rooms, media rooms, meeting rooms and even vending machines for your snack break. The restroom is nice, big and clean. And books, of course, they have a huge selection and if I moved to Collin County, which I probably won't, I would likely frequent this location. I don't know anything about this neighborhood but this library is really nice.

Karla, and the rest of the library staff are super helpful and just add to the pleasantness of the whole experience here!

It's in Garland, Texas, a town not far from where I live. And it felt like a kids paradise from the moment I walked down the stairs into the children's area. I saw children gathered around for a special event, and they were all filled with joy and many were giggling. What a beautiful experience it was to see such happiness around books. And isn't that what being a child is supposed to be like? The walls were covered with creative nature scenes, just like you're walking into a storybook. And they carved out the sweetest little reading nooks so you could enjoy your time, privately, with a great story. There was a wonderful artistic mobile hanging over the area where you walk down to the children's area, and fun seating for storytime readings. And let's not miss out on the slide kids can go down to get to the children's area. What a fun idea! Hats off to whomever thought that one through! Every person I talked to in this library was genuinely nice. It truly felt like a safe and happy place to be - for both children and adults. I'm coming back with my grandchildren, and I already know it will be a great adventure for us all!

I'm a big fan of libraries in general, and I have yet to find a branch of the Dallas Public Library that has disappointed me. From the materials available to check out to the multitude of programs (for kids, teens and adults) offered here, the neighborhood is lucky to have this gem.

They have at least 12 computers and floor outlets under nearly all of the tables which is super nice! Every seat is a good one. Printing can get a bit pricey at 25 cents/page. The hours here are great and they have a lot of activities for kids (babies up to 5 years) on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as the usual book clubs. Ms. Paige who leads the kids activities is awesome with the kiddies. She's interactive, does songs, story time, and crafts. They also have a nice playground (ideal for ages 1-5) outdoors. We will be back! DART bus drops off here too. The bathroom is decent and they have water fountains. They also have a separate detached room where they host different free kiddie and cultural activity events. Very cool. I could seriously hang out in the library all day. Nerd alert.
