Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Persistent Harassment and Discriminatory Behavior…read moreI am sharing this to warn the community and formally urge LA Fitness management to strictly enforce its Code of Conduct. I hope that by speaking out, others who have had similar encounters feel empowered to come forward and share their experiences as well. My recent experiences at the Plano South (W Pres GWB Hwy) location have been deeply disturbing, and it has become clear that I am not the only victim of a specific individual's aggressive misconduct. The Incident on 4/1/26: Between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, I was subjected to verbal abuse by a long-term member (a tall, thin, older white woman). While I was using the public shower, she began timing me, yelling that I was a "liar" regarding my time in the stall, and cursed me out, calling me a "nasty woman." This is the second time she has targeted me; weeks prior, she interrupted my shower to interrogate me on how much longer I planned to be there. A Notorious Pattern of Targeted Bullying: After this incident, I spoke with other women in the locker room who immediately recognized this woman. Their stories reveal a systemic pattern of bullying: * Member 1 (Asian): Reported that this woman ordered her to vacate a shower stall. When she refused, the woman kicked her gym bag and left. This member now alters her workout schedule specifically to avoid being harassed. * Member 2 (Black): While she was applying lotion in a shower stall, this woman ordered her to leave and finish in the locker room so she could take that specific stall. Like Member 1, she has also postponed her workout times to avoid encountering this individual. * Member 3 (Asian): When she asked to share a swimming lane, this woman refused--even though she was the only person in her lane--and told the member to go swim in a reserved lane where two teenagers were in the middle of training. This individual's reputation for being difficult is well-known. A long-time male member previously told me that if she refused to cooperate or share a lane, I should just wait for his lane instead, as she is known for being notoriously unreasonable. Concerns of Discrimination: Because this woman's aggression has been consistently directed at Asian and Black members, many of us are left questioning her motives. The consensus among those she has targeted is that her behavior is either mentally unstable or racially motivated. It is unacceptable for any member to feel singled out or bullied based on their background. Conclusion: Because these incidents occur in the pool and shower areas, it is impossible for victims to provide video evidence. However, the consistency of these stories--at least five individuals have been harassed or bullied by this same woman--is evidence enough for management to take action. We are all paying members who deserve a workout environment free from verbal abuse and intimidation. Several of us are now considering not renewing our memberships because we no longer feel safe or welcome. LA Fitness, please prioritize the safety of your members over the membership of a known harasser.

A childhood friend of mine died from Staph that was traced back to a dirty gym. So, not having the minimum of disease mitigation is inexcusable. The only good news is that there are other locations, and I am leaving to go to one of those now. I will start avoiding this one, which sucks because I live near by.

I took their hot yoga class, which was both refreshing and energizing. The instructor was incredibly kind and hands-on with her guidance, making the class enjoyable for all levels. The facility itself has so much to offer! It really feels like a one-stop shop for fitness and wellness. There's a small cafe on-site, which is perfect for grabbing something before or after a workout. They also have multiple pickleball courts, which adds a fun, social element to the experience. My favorite part was definitely the recovery area. They offer cryotherapy, infrared light therapy, compression, and massage chairs. I personally tried the compression therapy and was very satisfied with how it made me feel afterward. Overall, this is an amazing space if you're looking to combine workouts, recovery, and convenience all in one place!

I joined Club Studio Dallas when it opened in 2025. I had been a member of LA Fitness (Chicago and…read moreDallas) for over ten years and when I heard they had common ownership it drove my decision to spend the extra money to join Club Studio. The other reason I joined was the location is just five minutes from my Dallas house. Max and Lewis talked me into giving Recovery a try for a couple months. I am very glad I took their advice. I am still regularly using Recovery. After one year I can make the following review: First, the Dallas facility is maintained better than any other fitness center I have ever gone to. It is always very clean, and the machines almost always are in excellent condition. The locker rooms and sauna are spotless. Second, the personal are very friendly. The personal trainers are experienced, educated and dedicated. Third, the staff working Recovery are very nice and competent. Ishani has pushed me to increase my Cryo time and use a colder setting. I am not crazy about the Cryo Chamber, but after I warm up, I feel fantastic. I really appreciate Ishani pushing me. Finally, Club Studio recently hired Janie to be the supervisor and in charge of Recovery. She worked at Club Studio in San Antonio and is very experienced. I recently injured my hamstring, and she worked with me on the settings of the Red Light Therapy. I double checked her advice with AI and both were very consistent. Most important is the Red Light Therapy has helped. Congratulations to Club Studio management on the hiring of Janie. GREAT HIRE. Charles F.

Disappointed with my experience …read more There were no trash cans in the women's restrooms, and there were at least 2 clogged toilets. I informed the front desk as I was leaving. The wipes are also so incredibly thin, doesn't feel like you're cleaning anything. Everything is kinda just strewn around in the women's only section. I came here with a friend using the free day pass, but I couldn't imagine paying for this experience.

I wanted to bring up a concern regarding inconsistent enforcement of gym policies. I was recently…read moretold I could not enter wearing slides, despite the fact that I regularly come in wearing them because I remove my shoes while lifting heavy. I've also noticed many other members lifting barefoot or taking their shoes off entirely without being approached or corrected. What makes this frustrating is that there are no visible signs or posted policies stating "no slides" or "no Crocs." The only posted rules I've seen are things like reracking weights and not removing shirts. Because of that, it feels unfair and inconsistent when certain members are singled out while others are not. Additionally, the interaction itself was unprofessional. I was told, "I'm going to get fired if you walk in," (white girl) by a front desk employee I had never seen before, after I had already driven all the way to the gym. The situation could have been handled much more respectfully and clearly. I also want to mention that I frequently feel pressured by trainers approaching me repeatedly about personal training, even after showing no interest. I've noticed this tends to happen more when I wear baggier clothing or don't fit the typical "gym aesthetic," which makes the environment feel uncomfortable rather than welcoming. I'm not trying to cause issues, but I would appreciate clearer policies and more consistent treatment from staff across the board.

Though I must say, they're dumbbells are kinda crap, lot of em have holes in em and/or are rusty. Also they aren't in order on top of that. They have no where to refill your water, they're cable machine is very janky n damaged. I tried doing behind the back curls with them, but the weight wouldn't go back down due to the damaged cables. The gym also only has a single ez-bar. But they do have plenty of barbells including specialized bars, many of which had locks on them for some strange reason though. They have plenty of plate locks which is very nice, i've been to a few gyms where i have to actively search the entire gym just to find some. This gym does not have that issue whatsoever. So to summarize, I wouldn't recommend this place to your average gym goer. Its really meant for people specializing in powerlifting.
